Yes the heaphone is very expensive but this is one of the few headphones that actually justifies the price tag. The sound is so detailed its unbelievable at first it gave me goose bumbs for the first time when i sat down and listing to it. I am using a Bifrost 2 and a Singxer sa-1 this is over kill for these headphones but it makes them run at their best. The LCD-X’s are 20 ohms at a 103 db sensitivity which makes them extremely efficient and easy to drive I was even able to run then off a lightning to 3.5mm converter it is amazing how these are able to be driven. Besides these being the most efficient headphones i have ever used, the sound is unreal the bass is full and tight without being muddy, the mids are buttery and smooth while the highs are detailed without being sharp. This headphone uses mini XLR connectors so finding 3rd party cables wont be a challenge if you want to use 4.4mm or xlr to run these balances because they inly come with a 1/4 inch jack that does not convert to a 3.5 mm so you would have to buy an adapter to convert to 3.5mm. If you have the money and want to experience music on a whole new level these are the headphones for you.

Suberb detail, don't need an amp to use them. Kind of heavy, but they're still comfortable. The dip in the upper mids/lower trebble is weird, but won't be a problem if you're using EQ. Love these.

A really comfortable set of headphones. A bit on the heavy side. Built like a tank. Very natural sound. Very impressive.

Anything sounds fantastic out of these headphones no matter what source you are running them off of. I have owned my set for almost two years as of writing this review, and i couldn’t be happier with them. I always look forward to coming home and listening to misic with these. In his youtube review, Zeos described these as being a “helmet of sound” and I couldn’t agree more. Such a blast to listen to
