Agreed set of headphones, however I feel they are equivalent and close to the same as the M50X which are priced for a lot less money. I have never gone wrong with any products by Audio Technica... Always solid!!

The Audio-Technica ATH-M70x headphones are a great buy for podcasting. Not only are these headphones great for work, they produce such a natural sound when listening for leisure. There's no need for bass boost. You simply feel those low notes as they were meant to be heard. Worth the cost.

I have many headphones from Beyerdynamics, Sony, and Yamahas; I would have to choose these if I could only have one. These do the job perfect in everyway. They produce the genuine sound the way you would hear it live. Many complain about the lack of bass-the bass is there spread evenly across the audio graph; its not an added artificial base like other headphones. I also, like my Yamaha HPHMT7; these have more added base. However, they don't sound as good as the AT's. I would highly recommend these for any use. Moreover, you don't need a lot of power to drive them. A small player will work great.

Perfect for the recording studio. Not really meant for playing mastered music.
