The sound of this pair of earphones is clear, balanced with taut bass, proper level of midrange & treble. Don't expect boomy bass from these earphones.
It's pretty easy to fit on my ears and the comfort is OK.
The only thing I complain about is the extended cable. It feels a bit bulky when using the extended cable.

I got these on clearance from one of the Magnolia stores. I paid close to $40 for the pair. They are not B&W C5s or a higher end pair of Shure's, but they sound better than anything Beats puts out, and for the price (1/5 the cost of the B&W's), you can't touch these. Don't expect ear shattering bass to muddy up your music like Beats and many others that market to the iPhone generation, but if you want clear, detailed sound, I'd buy these again and again.
Only Con is it does not have an inline mic for iPhone use, but who makes phone calls these days... It's the decade of the text message.

I got these because i wanted a set of in ear buds that were of good quality and had noise cancellation. These buds have a great sound to them very clearn mids and highs. The bass can be a little much at times but in most cases with ear buds like these it can be a little boomy. What I really liked most if the interchangable ear pieces. I was able to find the correct one for my ear and they fit perfect. I only gave it 4 stars because they sound good but not the best. But they are good for the price. Also after wearing them for a few hrs it started to bother my ears a little but that could just be me.

For the price, these are an excellent pair of earbuds. So glad didn't go with the beats - these have a much better sound and look to be made all around better. Only thing I would change is the cord- seems to twist and tangle easily.

My previous pair of Sony high-end ear buds somehow got left on a plane, and Best Buy's lineup of 'phones was the best I could readily access. Not seeing my previous model offered, I decided to roll the dice on the Audio-Technica's as the best offering without an infinite pricetag. I listen to several hours of music a day in my work cube, and am quite picky about sound quality... I need everything from power metal to electronica to folk and symphonic to read true. Frankly, it took me some time to make peace with these phones -- their extreme midrange detail was balanced by a not-so-subtle lack of deep bass immediacy. Double-bass percussion is still *audible*, but not as tectonic as I was used to. I experienced appreciable fatigue listening to them when they were brand new, though after weeks of "burnin" they and I seem to have made reasonable peace. I wonder if this all has something to do with ear canal diameter -- I'm using the widest ear tips they included, and the seal is just barely complete.
I'm left to conclude that it's very hard to do as well as these 'phones do, and REALLY hard to do even better, and harder yet to afford the results. These are not "the perfect" ear bud, but few people out there will be able to say they've got anything materially better at the price.

We're using a couple sets of the AT earbuds as in-ear monitors for our church's worship team and they're holding up well. No, they're not equal to a nice set of Shures or Westones or any of the higher-priced actual in-ear monitors, but they deliver acceptable quality sounds and comfort for the money.

The headphones are an excellent purchase. I am big into audio and have done mass research for the best bang for the buck when it comes to headphones and these were totally worth the purchase. Not only did I save 1/3 of m money by not buying beats or Bose, but the quality of sound cancellation is identical.
Well worth the value in my opinion!

I have bought my 21 year old son countless pairs of headphones and none ever last. This pair has great sound, is very comfortable and offered an optional 4 year protection plan which I bought immediately!

I bought these to fit under my helmet because my regular ones do not fit. I find these becoming my go to ear buds. They handle the hard rock bass and their pretty darn solid in and around my song writers. Happy

So this was my first time trying out AT as a brand after it was recommended to me by a musician on a flight who was using AT Cans which looked far better built than my Bose. So I decided I wanted to pick up a pair of buds as they would be easy to travel with and was just floored by the sound produced by these. To start off the fit (for me) was just perfect, they sealed in my ears perfectly which means the noise isolation kicked in, secondly the sound which matters the most as thats what you will buy these for was just absolutely amazing, the mids were just right, the bass was just right (not too much or too little like some other manufacturers) and so was the treble. The perfect balance of the music just astounds me, I listen to various genres of music like Jazz,Rock,EDM,Hip Hop and these dont disappoint me in any genre i throw at it.
The only downside I saw to these were that these dont have a mic built in, not sure if they did this to make better sound? but it didnt bother me so much that I returned them or anything as the sound and comfort of these earbuds is just what the purpose of these are and thats yet to be matched in this price range trust me.
If you are in the market to buy some great sounding earbuds which dont hurt your ear or wallet Please try these ,you will not be disappointed. These are purpose built earbuds and do the job just right.
The bad review dont do justice to these awesome buds.

I decided to review these because there are so many inaccurate reviews on here. To say Monster earbuds are anywhere near these in quality is just funny. I bought these not knowing much about them to quickly replace a pair of $250 UltimateEars. I was blown away by how good they sounded for 1/3 the price.
I am very picky about my headphones. For earphones under $100, I tried Shure, Klipsch Bose and Sony before I got these; without a doubt, these are the best. They have phenomenal range--a lot of bass from the large 12.5mm drivers, but it stays clean; crisp treble, and mids that don't dominate.
They are very comfortable, and as long as you wet the earpieces before inserting, stay in your ear without incident. They are durable as well; was traveling every month, and take them with me everywhere I go. My only (slight) complaint is that the extension cable connector is a bit heavy compared to the cord, and sometimes bounces around too much whilst moving. I probably wouldn't recommend these for working out, but who needs such nice earphones for that?
And lastly, they're "quieter" because of their higher sensitivity. This is a good thing. Highly recommended.

These headphones are like the klipsch image s4. they fit in your ear better and are made slightly better. Sound they are both the same and bass is a tie between the two. If you do not like the klipsch because they way they fit in your ear try these out. Yes i have the klipsch and sound is a tie but these actually fit in my ears.

Volume too low

I decided to purchase this earphones after I found out they were certified by Magnolia. The sound and bass are very nice and clear however volume is very low - after turning volume all the way up I could easily hear voices of people talking. I found it completely unsuitable for workout at the gym (my primary purpose) where there is already playing loud music. Saying that I realize it might be perfect for someone to listen to a music in a far quiet corner.
I also found the volume control (that needs to be powered by AA battery! and is not appearing on the picture) is very bulky.
I exchanged it for a Klipsch Image S4.

First off , these are pair of earphones and not a headset. So do not expect all fancy controls for your iphone/ipad. Get them if you can appreciate good sound. The soundstage is excellent. I got them for $40 and there is no doubt that no other manufacturer will provide this much bang for your buck. ATH m50 is another such example. I trusted ATH and that's why I got these and sure enough , I wasn't let down. The sound clarity is phenomenal and it certainly knows "garbage in-garbage out" principle.
So you really need a good sound source to know what these are capable of. They do not add coloration so don't expect these to make poor sound to appear good. I am addicted to them and its an excellent choice to go with.

Terrible Sound Quality

I bought these ear-buds at the recommendation of one of the sales associates who said that these ear-buds had good sound quality and were good at blocking out ambient noise. None of those claims were true. The sound quality was terrible - there was absolutely no bass whatsoever and the treble was so tinny that it was borderline painful to listen to. The ear-buds themselves were incredibly uncomfortable (especially the left one) and they didn't do a good job at blocking out ambient noise. Not to mention, the volume level of the ear-buds were incredibly low, and in order to be able to hear the music I was trying to listen to, I had to turn the volume way up. I ended up returning these ear-buds and exchanging them for a pair of Monsters that I am much happier with.
In short, this product isn't worth your time or money.
