    I received these for Christmas. I was given the ATH-ANC23 model. I agree with other reviewers...the foam buds work better than the rubber buds. Definitely seal out more external noise and the sound quality if improved. I use with my iPad and while I have not travelled with them yet, I look forward to using them on my first plane trip of 2014 in mid-January. I have them in while writing this review enjoying some music. The kids made a great purchase and these make a great gift.

    I could never get headphones to stay in my ears, and these ones are fantastic! I love how great the noise cancelling is as well.

    I'm on my second set of these since the first ones had one of the ear buds split. They are failrly good at cancelling out flight noises and some crowd noise. I use them for background music while reading or for watching movies and TV shows on the ipad while flying. If you want something better, you're probably going to have to go to a full headset.
