    The real thing

I have had a couple of "all-in-one" systems with a turntable. They have done a decent job in most cases of allowing me to listen to albums from my parents' collection and to albums that I have picked up at garage sales and auctions. I was having trouble with some newer albums that I had purchased. I thought that the albums were to blame. Nope. It was the inferior turntable that allowed the constant skipping. As a warning, this system is WAY HEAVIER than I expected. It made it a little awkward when I was trying to set it on top of my previous system to test it out before removing the old one completely. It does take some time to set it up correctly, but the instructions were adequate for a novice like myself to pull it off. One issue for me was the length of the included audio cable. I use my sound bar as the speaker for my turntables. The sound bar is on an entertainment center next to the stand that the turntables sit on. The sound bar is elevated compared to the small stand with the turntable. My previous turntable, being an "all-in-one" was much taller and its cord was long enough to reach taking the path I preferred behind the cabinet holding the sound bar. This new turntable, sitting much lower down, had difficulty reaching the soundbar with its audio cable. I'm sure that you can buy a longer cable, and it's possible that other people would have their equipment a little closer or on a similar level, but just to make you aware, the cable is not very long, leaving you limited in how far it can be from your chosen speaker connection. Anyway, once it was connected and I placed one of my albums on the slipmat (one of the albums notorious for skipping on my old system), it worked like a charm, and instead of the herky jerky skips getting under my skin, all I heard was music. The tone arm is adjustable in multiple ways and the manual will help you set it up correctly so that it tracks correctly. I'm sure the stylus is superior to my previous "all-in-one" systems as well. I have definitely appreciated making this purchase. I caught it while it was on sale, but I think it would have been a good purchase even without the sale. It has basically given me back several albums that were unlistenable on my old systems. It's an attractive piece of equipment. I really like the clear dust cover. Everything feels solid and built to last. I haven't used it to digitally transfer anything to my computer yet, but I have used the Audacity software with previous systems. I expect that this system will produce a better quality transfer. It's manual contains much more detailed instructions regarding how to set up for recording than my previous system did.

Overall good turntable. You can certainly do better but it will cost you at least $200-300 more. Not fully convinced platter isn't warped. I did change cartridge to Ortofon 2M Red. I've been overall pretty pleased. One last note if you're looking for a "sleek" looking turntable, this isn't it. Happy spinning.

I’ve been using this turntable for about a year now as someone new to vinyl records. I’ve found this to be a great turntable for me—what I like to do is just listen to records without a lot of manual adjustment. It works great and has has a built in amp, just plug it into speakers! Great buy.

You can spend more, but why?

You can easily spend 10 or 20 times as much for a turntable, but unless your name is Bezos or Zuckerberg or ?, you don’t need to. This turntable and cartridge make both new and old records sound great. This is the second one I have purchased - my first one burned up in a wildfire, along with all my records (and just about everything else I had). It is very easy to set up, and did I mention it sounds great? My appreciation for it is made even better by Best Buy’s price-match policy, which allowed me to get the sale price even though I bought it a week or two before it went on sale for $50 less. Right on Best Buy

It didn't take very long to unpack and set this up. The trickiest part is calibrating the arm. The sound is great on our surround sound system and now we can listen to our records from ages past:)

This is my first turntable and I must say I have zero complaints. Hooks up to my speakers very easily and the sound is fantastic. Quickly converts and transfers vinyl to audio files on my laptop.

Just finished my basement and was looking to use my albums again, bought this turntable and Audio-Engine A5 speakers, what a great system, no receiver involved. The sound is outstanding, I missed my albums and it is great to be able to use them again. Outstanding buy for quaility and price.

This is so much better than I expected it to be. Was easy to set up, love the way the arm works and the sound is great, even with computer speakers. Dust cover is an estra bonus

My old turntable's stylus broke and while checking online I found I could buy a new turntable cheaper than replacing that stylus. It has great sound and is easy to use.

First, this does not have an automatic return for the tone arm. Second, it is a very good quality turntable and has a fairly good quality magnetic stylus - not a cheap ceramic one on less priced equipment. Third, the lid does not seem to be too stable and comes loose at the hinges.

This is probably the best record player you can buy on a budget. It is built like a tank, easy to set up and get going, and just works/sounds really well straight out of the box. Worth every penny.

This is a great solid turn table. It has many bells and whistles that you would find in a higher end turntable. It sounds great and has a hefty weight to it. By far the best bang for the buck!

Easy to assemble and set the correct settings. More gadgets than on my previous turntable from the 70's. Haven't tried the "direct to digital" feature yet, but I will. Very pleased with this one!

I really have to hand it to Audio Technica. I went through what i thought was my last "turn" with Vinyl years ago, having owned a Technics direct drive. That one left this earth awhile back and when it came time to revisit the medium, the LP120 came the closest for me towards recreating what I had. Very solid, really heavy base, came with a built in preamp, great cartridge and its speed is rock solid. I recommend this one without hesitation.

After a month of listening and using this product I must tell that this is for those who would like to see whether vinyl is something they will go for. This is my first turntable after listening music in all possible formats including DSDs and I lije tge warm and clear sound coming from it. My amp is 75watt and now I am thinking of having a more powerfull one and better full range speakers as this turntable make you turn volume all the way up because you love the sound coming from it. Overall I am more than happy of my purchase. If you are on the market, get it. I read so many reviews before I decided to purchase this one, so don't waste your time, just get it.

There really isn’t much you can complain about with this turntable. Adjusting the weights took a little time but it wasn’t rocket science. Plays my 40 year old albums well.
