Good Turntable for Digitizing your Records

This turntable is capable of delivering very good sound, either to a Phono input or to a line-level AUX input if your receiver doesn't have Phono capability. My turntable is installed right next to my desktop computer, and its output goes directly to my PC. The included (and free) Audacity software is a bit complex, but capable of removing pops and ticks in your recordings and of delivering very professional-sounding results. Although I won't use the feature, this turntable can play at any speed you want, forwards or backwards, 'Disco' style. The device is absolutely worth the investment.

This turntable is very nice for the price. After all of my research, it was the winner for a three speed that wouldn't break the bank, but would be gentle on my records. One issue: it can play all three speeds, but the included stylus is not good for 78s, and you won't find that in the manual. If you research the cartridge a bit, you'll find that you need to buy another stylus to swap in for playing 78s. There is one that will fit this cartridge, so it is only about $30, but I'm disappointed in the lack of upfront information.

I have been using an old Technics turntable that was purchased in Japan back in the 70's. This turntable does everything my old one did (both are direct drive) with the exception of playing one old piece of vinyl from the 50's which is extremely large. If you are serious about playing vinyl and don't want to spend a couple of thousand on a turntable then I recommend this.

Audio Technica is an AWESOME improved and FULLY upgraded turntable that plays ALL record speeds, especially 78 records which is my main reason for purchase..I have a 78 collection that I grew up with and means more to me than anything I have..did need to purchase a special 78 cartridge and also purchased another universal cartridge mount..WELL WORTH IT!!

The quality is definitely up to par for price. Spend a few minutes on YouTube figuring out how to set up properly and your on your way to great sound. I have over 200 albums from 1960 and up. This unit sounds awesome right out of the box and gives the option to run straight to amp or preamp. The next level up for a system similar starts at 800 so this is a great price.

It really does sound good, although anything is an improvement over the typical mp3 compression schemes. I had't played any of my vinyl in over 20 years, and have to admit, although there are a few scratches and pops, it brought back memories. The new albums I have purchased really sound good. I may upgrade the stylus at some point, but for now, I love the improvement.

I just finished figuring out how to assemble the turn table. The instructions could have better diagrams. I plugged the red/white plugs into my tuner to get the sound to go through to my JVC speakers. The sound coming through the white wire is horrible. The sound coming through the red wire is okay. Unfortunately, that wire seems to be hard wired to the turn table, so I can't just go out and buy a replacement cable. Apparently the connection in the turn table was not made well.

This is a great professional turntable for playing vinyl records. It is very high quality and the sound it produces is at par with those more expensive turntables out there. It comes with a heavy duty tonearm that needs to be balanced to the stylus cartridge and with an anti-skating adjustment, once that is set it’s good to go.

I wanted something a little better than the $100 turntables, but I wasn't about to spend a fortune either. The AT-LP120 had great reviews so I went with it. Absolutely no regrets buying this. It sounds fantastic! I'm always amazed at just how good a vinyl record can actually sound and this player proves it with every listen.

Great turntable. I live this thing!! Albums sound awesome on it and the pitch control is very nice for playing along to albums that were recorded not in 440 pitch. Works great and very adjustable. Easy to find upgrade styles if needed but the one that comes on it is a very good one.

Changing Stylus is near impossible. Wanted to put 78RPM on cartridge & it is a problem. Saying that bought another head & will just transfer heads on arm. Other than that features are nice & connected to both home theater & computer.

A great turntable to get back to the glory days of vinyl! The AT-LP120 has everything that my original Technics from the 80s had and then some. The ability to make manual adjustments to the weight and skate of the tone arm is great. The only drawback is the fact that there is no auto return mechanism when an LP reaches the end of the track.
