I was looking to get into vinyl and wanted something simple to use without it being poor quality. I researched before I made a purchase and this turntable is exactly what I wanted - quality and simplicity. I would recommend it to anyone.

The Audio-Technica AT-LP60 is no newcomer to the party. After being in the market for 50 years, it has revived and reincarnated itself as the best entry level fully automatic belt-drive turntable which is highly affordable and bound to please any entry-level vinyl enthusiast, looking for a digital backup to their expanding record collection.

I would recommend this item to anyone interested in a record player. It is easy to set up (just follow the directions) and looks great. You need to have speakers, which are not included in the purchase or you will not be able to hear the sound coming from the record player. With speakers though this is an excellent record player. Great sound quality, with the faint skips and scratches in the background that make record player music so desirable and romantic.

What can I say? The Audio-Technica turntable is the best ever. It is easy to assemble and has great sound for vinyl. If you are looking for a turntable at a decent price. This is the one to go for.

    Versitile Reasonable Cost Choice

This is one of the most reasonably priced turntables on the market that has a built in preamp. That allows it to be connected to any receiver on the market. Many do not have a phono input. There is a switch on the back of this turntable to vary the output level. So receivers that have it internal possibly of higher quality can use that setting, others have an input. I have a receiver that has a built in preamp, but not all have that. There are many other turntables on the market that are significantly more expensive than this one. I suspect that most people do not have the rest of the equipment that would make the difference of the more expensive ones audible. This will still push through the warmth of vinyl to most audio systems and do so at a reasonable cost.

If you haven't switched to vinyl, you need to try this turntable out. It hooks up easily (I purchased a small Rockfish setup from Walmart for $19.00!) and sounds like a system that costs several hundred dollars more. I have been thinking about going back to vinyl, and I have not been disappointed with this turntable. When I put my first record on (purchased 50 of them at yard sale) I was instantly transported back 50 years! The crackling sound of the record, the pauses between songs, and the pure music that cannot be duplicated by digital media was all there. The automatic start and stop work like a charm, and the manual setting to change songs is a huge plus. Overall, I give this a perfect 10.

As like most people getting back into the hobby I was looking for something to get started. Based off of feedback- audio technica was not only make great products, but offered a great entry level turntable to get started. This is a $100 (or less) TT, so you shoul not expect all of the manual tweaks, but you should expect a quality product that will play whatyoir records and allow for self-powered speakers or the ability to play on a stereo receiver. Definitely worth buying if you’re looking for a lower cost option before delving deep into this hobby.

Very nice starter turntable. easy to use, good sound quality. The preamp came in handy before I had the rest of my stereo moved in, I was able to listen to my records through my TV!

This is a great turntable that is easy to set up. I recently got back into vinyls and was looking for a decently-priced turntable that had a good stylus and tone arm, and this fit the bill. Plus, there is an internal preamp so no need to buy an external one! I paired this with a set of Edifier speakers and it was good to go. Great sound quality. It can play 7" and 12" vinyls at 33 1/3 and 45rpm. There's also a button to gently lift or lower the tone arm, which is great when I need to have a bit more control over what's playing. I haven't experienced and skipping, and the platter and provided mat works great!

Considering how costly turntables can be, this is well-priced. A few easy instructions to follow during initial setup. Sound is decent, as long as you couple this product with good speakers.

Honestly the whole concept of vinyl was not new to me. A lot of friends I have known over the years have a vast collection. One friend recommended if I was on a budget to go ahead and get this LP 60. Since I've had it for about a month now, I love it. Plays great, and it is very easy to set up the belt drive. Definitely watch a setup guide on how to do that on YT, because the manual is harder to follow without video instructions. Overall I can't recommend this enough to someone who wants to start off buying a budget TT that works fantastic.

I own a much more expensive Audio-Technica turntable and, since I loved that one so much, I thought I would buy the AT-LP60 for my teenage son for Christmas since he was buying and playing his own records on my turntable. It was a hit with him. The simplicity of the AT-LP60 (control wise) along with a decent (entry level) needle cartridge makes this turntable a perfect first time turntable. Out of the box and ready to go with no hiccups and have had no issues with it yet ...and I don't expect any either with the quality of products that Audio-Technica puts out. You will not be disappointed with the AT-LP60.

Bought to replace turntable included with Innovative Technology Classic CD 50W, which was skating across the records. The first one provided remarkable sound, even through the basic receiver and speakers included with the IT unit. It had a problem with sticking toward the end of each record. Returned it to Best Buy and purchased the same turntable. The quality of sound is 100+ % better, and there is no skating. It is also very attractive. Did not want accessories to convert to digital, so this basic turntable more than meets our needs. Love it.
