This cable is much thicker than it's competitors and even looks more well made. I replaced the cable that came with the Sonos playbar. I figure if I want great audio I'd have to spend for it. My hearing is kind of shot, so I really want to make sure I have the best. So far I haven't been disappointed. No kinks, great audio transfer, and a solid design.

I purchased this cable, because I was having problems with my TV (Sony 850C) matching the voice of my Sonos Playbar, when a person speaks. One of the biggest criticism customers gives the Sonos Playbar is that there are very noticable lip matching (discrepancy) on the TV. The delay is about a 1/2 of a second. Another criticism is that you have to constantly adjust the sound up or down on the Playbar, because the surround would over take the people talking. This is also noticeable and frustrating. In other words, there is a lip sync issue and volume control issue. The truth is that the fiber optics cable that comes with the Sonos Playbar is a crappy cable. You must, I'll repeat you have to upgrade the cable to really enjoy this Soundbar. It is unfortunate that Sonos chose a poor marketing strategy, which makes their product appear to be over price and lower quality. if you fix the cable, you will fix the problems, and not have to return the sound bar, because it indeed is a good product.
Even though the Vodka cable is expensive, it definitely syncs the surround sound and the talk delay. I have both the Cinnamon and the Vodka cables. I've used both cables on the Sonos Playbar. Cinnamon is indeed a good cable. What is cool about the Cinnamon cable is that it tend to lower the level of surround sound when it detects a person talking, whereas, with the Vodka cable, you don't sense the adjustment. The reason is that the surround sound is better synced with person talking. In other words, the Vodka cable is more of a natural sound than the Cinnamon cable. Both cables solve the lip sync problem and having to manually adjust sound volumes in order to hear the speaker speak. I must admit it is pretty cool to see the Cinnamon cable adjust the background sound when it detects people talking, it is just not realistic, which is why I prefer the Vodka cable. I would say, if you want realism go with the Vodka cable over the Cinnamon cable. There is indeed a difference with the two cables. You will also hear more surround sound on the Vodka than the Cinnamon cable. I should reach out to Audio quest to test their flagship 'Diamond' just to see if there is a significant difference between the Diamond and Vodka cable...It is hard to believe there would be...
