I enjoyed my sattelite radio in the car...why not in the house? (Yes, I can listen to XM on my computer as part of my subscription.) I just wanted a system to play in a different room. This works out very well. I like that it's well-buit, and not "cheap" looking (with a plastic look). It has metal contruction and low profile. It packs a good sound for a compact system. I works right out of the box! The instructions call for placing the antenna with a window facing south, I was able to face it in my westward facing window with perfect reception. (I live in a condo complex with other bldgs and many trees.) I've used it in several rooms with NO issues! (Unfortunately, I cannot use it at work, due to NO windows where my office is placed!) This is a nice gift for someone who has an XM receiver.

I looked this unit over this past summer when it first arrived and liked the brushed aluminum case,but thought that the sound quality would suffer from such a small box and also thought it was allot of money too. I first bought the other Audiovox unit the XMBB1 and it turned out to be a defective unit and there was a back order on them so I decided to spend the extra thirty dollars on this unit. I never thought that this unit would sound so unbelievable and I like that it comes with a remote control . I don't know why they didn't design it so the antenna could be internal like some of the other XM boxes from the past, that's the only negative I have. I was able to put the antenna in my dresser drawer and still receive a full signal. Nicely done Audiovox. It's nice to know you guys will be designing all the SiriusXM radios from now on. GREAT PRODUCT. Beautiful design.

I 've only been able to listen to the radio in my car and when I went to research products to play my radio indoors, I had no idea they made the boombox model that does not require a home stereo. I originally was going to buy the cheaper model, but lucky for me this one was all that was in stock. I am impressed! the sound quality is excellent and it is so convenient and portable. The satellite receiver that comes with it picks up the signal without very much problem. Sometimes you have to move it around a bit depending where you are. The remote is also great! I highly recommend this to all and the price seems to be worth it for the convenience factor alone

My wife and I purchased this unit to listen to our XM Radio, and it is everything one can ask for as far as the sound and quality you get out of this system. We can not keep our kids hands off of it. They like to listen to there iPods as well as XM Radio on it. (Buy One)!!!!!
