My first issue was I needed special screws for my deadbolt, even though it was on the list of supported devices. They want you to mail in for the new screws. Not cool. Just include them. In my case, I had already taken my deadbolt apart when I discovered I needed shorter screws. What's worse, the screws I had almost worked, so I ended up over tightening them and started to damage one. The deadbolt is now on okay, but not perfectly, hence the need for periodic recalibration of the device. I also turned on the feature to auto unlock when you approach. This works pretty well except that I have the auto lock on as well and it sometimes locks too soon. I extended the time to 1 minute, the max but often find that isn't long enough when I arrive at home. The best thing would be if you could adjust the range you need to be in before unlocking. It would also be nice to have two lock time adjustments. One for when you approach from being out and one for when you walk out the door. It's good at knowing the difference and this feature would solve my issues. Other than that, it works great.

This is by far the best smart lock on the market. It uses your existing deadbolt equipment so you don't have to change keys. It is super easy to install. I liked the first one I bought so much that I purchased a second for another entry point. In my opinion this is the smart lock to buy.

My wife and I both use this product at our home for extra security. The product was easy to install. It's nice to have because it unlocks the door automatically when you get within a certain distance of your home which makes it convenient when coming home with your hands full. It also will automatically lock the door for you after a designated time that you can set. I would say on average this product works about 1/2 the time for me while it seems to work for my wife all of the time. There are times when it doesn't work and I have to unlock the door manually with my keys, so it defeats the purpose.

Easy to install. - its super simple to install this and it works really well... Easy to pull a battery out to reset. - ...Well it works really well as long you don't mind resetting it every once in a while which is super easy to do. You can't ditch your key yet. keep it handy, but at least you don't have to use it as often. I also got the Connect and I can't recommend it. It is disconnected more often than it is connected and has been rather pointless.

I find the auto unlock feature the most useful but sometimes when I'm with someone that also has the app and we both approach the door at the same time it won't auto unlock. Other than that it's a great product.

Very easy to install. Very well thought out product. The cost is high, but as the only product of its kind. It can be justified for now. I would expect the price to drop as they make the enhancements needed to make this the top product in this niche. My biggest concern is the shims provided to match the pin on the locking bar are not very strong. The lock mechanism itself has a lot of play in it do to these loose fitting shims. Color selection is good. Blue tooth works well. Software is decent and should improve with the updates needed to make this a first class product.

Not any harder to install than a normal keyset. I like that it automatically unlocks as I arrive home. I set it to automatically re-lock the door after 5 minutes as well. Suits my purpose.

This lock was easy to install. I like having the option to use keys or my phone to unlock the door. My kids may forget their keys sometimes, but they never forget their phones. So they can use their phones to unlock door after school.

I really like the design and functionality of the product. It has been very reliable over the last three months I have been using.

It took a little to install, but once I did, it worked great. Getting it to cooperate with the August connect was tricky, but worth it. I can unlock my home from anywhere.

Really like this smart lock. It's great for sending virtual keys and being able to keep track of who can get in the house. Can't wait to get the video doorbell that goes with it. The system also works with xfinity home.

Installation was very easy, simple design, came with the required adapter, only hand tools were required.

Moved into an apartment and needed to keep their key so maintenance can get in. Locks work great. You can set it up to auto lock and unlock. It also tells my nest thermostat when I leave..

I have had the August smart lock for about three months now and it is working as I expected. I do not use the auto lock feature as I feel like I would definitely lock myself or girlfriend out of the house at some point. The Bluetooth works pretty well. The one downside is you cannot be more than 8-10 feet away for the lock to be recognized by your phone. Not a big deal for me and you can buy the connect or doorbell to connect the lock to the Internet so it can be connected to virtually anyware. The locking/unlocking can take longer than 10 seconds sometimes but usually if your in range it takes less than 5. The app is pretty easy to use. Installing the lock took about 10 minutes. A few critices I have would be on the software side, add widgets, Android wear and IFTTT support.

No wifi is a limitation for this lock, but is available as a $50 accessory. This should be built in. It was easy to install and set up.

I must say we have been waiting for this product for about a year. I finally got it at Best Buy and it works. it is so easy and has saved us money already because we didn't have to call a locksmith to let cleaning people back into our condo unit where they left physical keys. We were able to txt the maid August virtual keys and they got right in. love it

I installed the August and loved it... i bought one for my parents as well. I was able to open up when my brother stopped by unannounced.... even though i was at work!

It works great just wish it was wifi not just Bluetooth so I can unlock and lock from a distance longer that 10 ft

This was easy to install and works well with bluetooth. August has a keypad coming soon which I already ordered to make this a perfect lock for what I wanted. I especially like that it uses a standard lock/dead bolt setup so from the outside you do not see that there is an electronic device.
