This product is a great addition to your smart home arsenal. Already had the Nest thermostat..they sync well together to maximize energy efficiency.

Works great. Unlocks the door when I get home. Optionally locks the door after a given period of time.

I read the reviews first and took a chance and ordered the smart lock. It has worked fine and doesn't lose Bluetooth connection like other users have experienced but it is very underwhelming in its capabilities. I didn't realize I would have to spend another $80-$100 for the connect just to get wifi and unlock remotely. And adding people requires them to create account, download app etc so it is not the best for last minute invites.

I added this to an existing lock. Fast easy install. Operates your door lock from anywhere. You can invite friends without providing them a key.

I love this lock. I have set it up myself. There are some drawbacks with bluetooth connection occasionally but thats okay.

Installation was relatively easy as I had a standard lock that was being replaced by the August Smart Lock. Its 'auto' unlock as Im nearing the house is my fav feature. No more fumbling around for keys or opening the garage. Was easy provind the key sequence to all family members as well. All in all a great buy!!

The lock works phenomenally. Easy to install and works as advertised. I plan on buying 2 more for other doors at home.

Super helpful to be able to check the lock while not at home. Also super easy to let people in while we are in the basement when we know who is at the door.

Love this thing. Works perfect about 85% of the time. The other 15% is less then stellar

Love my red lock. The only problem I have is if you don’t close the wooden door tightly, the lock will start chirping.....

Easy to install. Easy to use. Great little addition if you're a tech savvy person.

It's much more powerful than most other electronic deadbolts that I have had in the past. Not to mention no one knows I have an electronic deadbolt until they are leaving. MAKE SURE TO GET THE KEYPAD! Its great for families with kids as they dont typically have their own smartphone to unlock the door.

This lock works great. Surprisingly easy to install. The need for the additional unit to use wi-fi was not clear to me when I purchased the lock by itself. This made it's "value" go down and the additional product was difficult to find to purchase. I would still recommend this product for those who want control and monitoring capabilities remotely.

Works well, but the blue tooth reacts slow. Wish it would autolock when I leave, but it doesnt seem to do that. They say it will auto unlock when in bluetooth range, but it seems to take forever. Nice to be able to check the lock via internet (adapter required). Great for unlocking the door for someone when you arent home.

I had a lot of problem getting this lock to work. Maybe should get a different one

This is a great product. It's nice to not need your keys to open your door. Make sure though you completely close your App or make sure your phone is not on a page, it could go to the August app and open or lock your door. Overall great.

The August lock is a great smartlock and the only reason that I didn't give it a 5star rating is that the software needs to allow for times when the lock can and cannot be used by invited guests - like a housecleaner.

Did not like the way it install did not seam to be to secure.
