This smart lock fit my needs perfectly. I like the fact I could retrofit an existing lock and not have to re-key anything. The install process was very straight forward. The only issue I've had is that the auto-unlock feature occasionally is slow to unlock the door. Otherwise, no complaints.

This has completely changed the functionality of my home. I no longer have to fish for my keys at the door and I can remotely let anybody inside without going downstairs. My favorite feature is the Auto Unlock that opens my door automatically when I get back home.

Great lock, easy to install and use. I purchased a Kevo lock a year ago, had it replaced and still had issues with it working on a regular basis. I had never heard of the August brand, but so far it is working great!

It beeps to let you know the batteries are low but it does not make a lock or unlock sound. Not because it isn’t capable of it but because August just doesn’t want to do it. The app has/had the option for lock sounds so I contacted support they were absolutely useless, they didn’t know the model didn’t make sounds and wanted log files and all sorts of back and forth for sounds it simply does not make but the app has/had the option to enable. This is my second August lock the other one is the original and it made lock and unlock sounds and has the option to enable in the app so I assumed if there is the option it can do it also even tech support for 3 days assume also.

perhaps one should only get this product if you own an IPhone because it just doesnt work like it should with an Android device. that's my biggest qualm. in the end i had to return it because the connect part was useless for me. pros: lock looks sturdy. it really is that EASY to replace and assemble the smart lock onto the existing lock connecting to lock and connect to the router was EASY too locking and unlocking feels real smooth the ability to control how long you want the lock to stay unlocked for before it auto unlocks cons: the clicking sound it makes when locking is kind of annoying auto unlock feature was useless. did not detect at all the interface for red locking and green unlocking feels a little too simple for me -- like a 3rd grader designed it. lock itself feels kind of bulky to me.

The August smart lick is my first smart lock. Super East my to install. The outside lock is still the same deadbolt with the same key. I love the feature that automatically unlocks the door when I approach.

Read great reviews about the lock. Bought the lock since wife was having hard time juggling the door with the kids along. Initially the lock worked charm. Problem noticed once the statewide lockdown started. Both wife and me had setup profiles on the connect app. Noticed a bug in the lock spoke to August customer rep and it seemed they werent sure how to resolve it either. The lock is suppose to identify your presence by phone gps location and open the lock when your in close proximity. Instead since I was working from home, the lock didnt identify wife's location on returning even though her app profile showed her in Away mode. This started causing issue in opening the door and had to manually open from the app. After a few calls and no resolution, returned the item back to BB. The lock though worked as a charm when we bought stepped out of the house together and was able to detect her or myself on return. Issue was when one of us was at home and the other left

I recently had some work done to my house and having this lock available to let the plumbers in and out without being at home was a work lifesaver. Fast connection with the app. Auto lock/unlock work great.

There is always one that forgets his/her keys. This is a great addition to a side door and open it from anywhere in the world. I did have some issues connecting to the wifi but the people at August responded fast and were very helpfull

I love this lock, but it sometimes gives me trouble. We have it set up to automatically unlock when we approach the door and to automatically lock when we exit. These features work 95% of the time. 5% of the time we're left frustrated!

Great if you live in an apartment. It easily mounts, has a very comprehensive walkthrough, and is able to be paired to Google Home and your smartphone to lock, unlock, and check your door on the go!

We’ve been using it for about one year now, it’s been great and easy to use. I thought that it could be a rechargeable battery, but that is just my opinion. I love that you can auto lock after 30 minutes of the door being unlocked. That has become very useful to us.

I bought this lock for a secondary door to my house because I didn't want to change out my lock on my front door. This lock is great because it allowed me to use my existing deadbolt and not have to worry about finding a lock that would match my existing knob and door. The Connect works great and allows me to lock and unlock the door for my family as an alternative to passing out a bunch of keys. It integrated well with my Alexa and Google Home, so I just have to initiate my set command for the day to unlock or lock it. I'll definitely get more of these when I want to expand my smart locks through the house.

It is great when you come home and don't have to search for your key because your door knows that you're home and unlocks it for you. I set mine to auto lock after a minute.

This August lock is simply amazing. It works just as advertised and provides a level of security and peace of mind that makes you feel safe. It was very easy to install and using it with Alexa could not be easier. Highly recommend.

This product is great, and works just fine for our need. I have only two concerns: the lock can be a little loud when it locks automatically, and the auto unlock does not always work. Other than those two things, I highly recommend this smart lock!!!

It was easy to install and works well. My teenage daughter would occasionally forget keys and now it’s not. an issue as she always has phone. Great to let the occasional service man in when we are not home.

I have had this for awhile now and it’s the best thing I have purchased in a long time. It’s perfect for those who have disabilities or difficulties with keys. I would recommend it highly!!
