Easy installation and setup, is the firs smart lock I've bought. It took a while to decide and after reading reviews I've decided to buy this lock. It can be unlocked automatically when it senses the smartphone approaching the door also it warns you if the door was left open. Nice value.

Easy installation, user friendly app, and feature packed with nice controls. Will definitely get more for other doors. Will have to wait some time to give any durability opinions. Installed on a front entry door with a locking doorknob, which I think is the best application. So far so good!!!

Easy to install and reliable. Great peace of mind to check and see if I locked the door. Also very convenient and easy to unlock the door from work to let the dog walker or repair man in. So far haven't had issues with connectivity. Only been installed for 2 weeks so unsure of battery life yet, but so far so good.

The August smart lock is very easy to program, install and use. With the August Connect, you can unlock your door for anyone from anywhere in the world. I recently linked this product to my Alexa and makes life easier with controlling your door without having to fumble around looking for your phone.

I bought two August smart locks with key pads but I return one lock and one key pad only because one lock was way too big for my beautiful walnut finished front door. Felt the silver color was too much of a eye sore and this lock needed more of an array of colors to match front doors. This lock could have a a simple cover to allow for more door colors much like ring has for their door bell cameras. This size of the lock is just way too big. It looks ok on my back door but not my front door. The software is very good and it easily sets up with alexia and google voice. My exchange lock ( Schlage) is smaller and flatter and integrates onto the door much better but I had a very hard time to pair Alexia with the August door lock on the back door and Schlage on the front. I could only use Yonomi app with Schlage and also August app together.

I have enjoyed having the August lock. I paired my lock with both amazon and google. Amazon tends to work best with it as it can also unlock my door with and 4 digit pin. I enjoy not having to put bags down when my hands are full to open my door. The away mode is the single best part of having this device.

The three star rating is a compromise between 2 stars for one aspect and 5 stars for another. I really want to love this lock but just can't quite get there. I'm a techie geek when it comes to home automation. I have several Echo's, Echo show, fire sticks, fire cube, wifi light switches, ring cameras and security system, etc. I've been wanting to add this smart lock to the house but wasn't about to pay almost $300 for it. TA-DA...cyber Monday comes around and picked it up for $119.99. Of course my local store was out of it so I had to drive 40 minutes each way to a store that had it in stock to pick it up. I can tell you this, had I paid full price for it I definitely would have returned it, but for $120 I'll keep it around. Let's start with what I do like about it. The main reason I purchased this was being able to remotely monitor that the door is locked because my daughter has a habit of not locking the door behind herself when she's home alone. Plus, I get notification through the app when she gets home so I don't have to rely on her remembering to text me saying she got home ok. For those two reasons I'd give it a 5 star rating....but.... When it comes to the automated part it's hit or miss. Sometimes the lock will auto unlock for me when I pull in the driveway, sometimes it won't. I have an android phone and apparently this lock has sketchy issues with the android platform. Prior to this lock we had a digital keypad deadbolt which was quick and easy to use unless it was raining cats and dogs, then you got drenched punching in the numbers. Well if this lock doesn't auto unlock for you be ready to either get out your keys or unlock it through the app. Kind of a hassle if you ask me. I ended up going out and purchasing the keypad to pair with this lock because I do not want be messing around with my phone or keys during a downpour. For this reason I would give it a two star rating. I've read some horrible reviews on the August keypad that works with this lock but I just installed it today so I can't give it a fair review yet. Is worth paying $280? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Is worth paying $200 lock? NOPE. Is it worth $120? Yeah, that's about where it should be price wise since it can't fully deliver on it's promise. If it could do what it's supposed to every time then it would be worth the higher price, but until then it's just average at best with a couple nice "piece of mind" features.

I have a door with a large pane glass in the middle of it, and this just looked a little too large and odd on it. I had to return it and get the smaller one. The functionality of it is amazing, it is really convenient to have a smart door lock, I use it all the time through my Google Assistant.

Works well and connects in almost every way I can think of. Very easy to install and setup for how complex it is.

I'm very happy with this lock, works as advertised and was very easy to instal. If you are looking for a solid smart lock that also looks great I would definitely recommend this. That being said, the price is some what high. Despite that I don't regret my purchase and I would highly recommend.

I bought this two weeks ago and have been using it every day. It works great with my android. It often detects me while I sm a block away and unlocks the door. My wife, however, has struggled with it. My wife has an iphone and has had non-stop problems with it.

I have been wanting a smart lock for a while. I got this on sale during the Christmas season. First of all, installation was a breeze. From the physical lock to the software. Everything was intuitive. And best of all it works with my Apple HomeKit. All in all a great lock and system.

I had the precious August lock and while I had no issues with it, I knew this one would be better, not only because of the circular design versus the oblong design, but locking/unlocking the door remotely was a huge appeal. I’m very satisfied with my new August lock!

Like this product for the most part. As I think others have said, the connect doesn't work all that well (we've tried 4 outlets in various places within 5-20 feet of the door and the BLE connection never shows more than "good"). The smart alerts (which I guess are in beta) don't work. On at least one occasion the auto unlock didn't work for me. I think there may be some confusion with the Apple HomeKit app; it doesn't always update with the correct status. Alexa often can't lock the door. It either says she is doing it and then doesn't, or thinks for a few seconds before saying "August is busy". That can be annoying. I love the idea of the product, and I do love the auto unlock feature when I come home. Very handy when you have your hands full so you don't have to pull out yours keys. But this definitely needs some work, and it's pricey given that it has a number of flaws. Hopefully it will continue to improve.

This literally took me less than 10 minutes to install and set up. I love the ability to know if my door is locked or unlocked or if it's open or closed, and especially to be able to open remotely from anywhere in the world. I e-pass recommended to everyone.

Really like the fact from outside the home you can't tell it's a smart lock, If there is an issue, your old house key still works. My only concern is the piece between your old lock and smart lock is plastic instead of metal and could strip out.

This smartlock works great with Apple HomeKit and/or the connect hub. Works with your existing deadbolt and no one, looking from outside, knows that a smartlock is even installed. Very easy install. This lock adds a lot of convenience.

Always works perfectly and the auto unlock feature is great. It's a bit bigger than it looks in the picture though. I use it for my outside gate, but you may want to consider another if you are using for an interior door as the unit itself is a little intrusive looking.
