I have used 2 smartlocks in the past and the August Pro with connect is by far the most responsive. The company has done well with updating their firmware on the locks and making some changes. Works well over the app and the auto unlock feature also works with no glitches.

I really love this lock. I needed extra peace of mind and this has been a big help. The installation wasn't too bad, it does not include instructions but you can find them online. With a little bit of time I was able to install the lock. The pro connect was a little more difficult to install and if you don't have your router near your front door this might not work for you but we have our router by the door so I just had to find the right spot for it. It doesn't always open the door once you get home but most of the time it works. The app is easy to use and it easily connected to my google home. Bottom line, this has added so much peace of mind I don't mind the minor hick-ups and I love being able to check my phone to make sure the door is locked.

I bought this to replace an August lock gen 2 that went bad. I was really mad and I almost went back to a regular lock but the family is so spoiled with the use of a smart lock that I ended up buying this one. I can say it’s faster and more reliable than the previous version. The batteries seems to last a bit longer but it’s hard for me to say for sure. HomeKit doesn’t let you to automatically unlock the door when you arrive but it’s easily done with a loophole. The lock will automatically unlock when we arrive home. No need to unlock the phone or wait until the Bluetooth connects. We really like this lock. And I like that this one won’t lock the door if the door is open. It comes with a sensor for the door frame that lets the lock knows if the door is close or if it’s ajar/open.

Great device when it works. Easy to install. I bought this so when I took the dog for a walk I didn’t have to bring my keys along and get stabbed in the leg every time I took a step. I have the Apple Watch app so I don’t have to take my phone either. Problem is sometimes it takes up to a full minute to unlock, so not super reliable. I do love that from the outside of the house it’s a normal lock, no one could tell by looking it’s a smart lock. I feel like this is, in a way, a security feature to help prevent the lock from being hacked and opened.

Simple to install. Instructions were easy to follow. Nice being able to control access to the house for cleaners, friends, etc. May need to first adjust door if you have any trouble manually locking.

why wouldnt you try it be your own reviewer dont read and judge havent had a single problem with it very easy install to door and set up work every single time have yet to have it miss or not lock all i can say is what i said in beginning

This was pretty ez to mount and set up. Looks of the dark gray make it look clean and less of just a piece of brass hardware near the door. I recommend it highly as it is quick and responsive ( atleast on iOS .

I absolutely love this lock. It was e trendy easy to install on my existing dead bolt. And the app was really easy to set up. It’s nice knowing I can lock my door anywhere, and see when my door was opened. I feel a lot safer with this!!

I have tried several smart locks and this is the best. Easy installation and I like the fact you can use the key (external) portion of my existing deadbolts which is great for exterior decorative deadbolts with matching handles.

This is a great lock. I just installed a heavy duty screen door and wanted to put an electronic lock on it. This fit the bill. The installation was super easy and it works seamlessly with SmartThings.

Easy set up and easy to use. Works every time I come home fro work. Unlocks before I get to the door making it easy to get in my house with my hands full. Also love the auto lock it works like a charm.

Really like it. Works great with the app. Price was great on thanksgiving $149 and even greater on cyber Monday $119 but Best Buy refused their own price match. That’s why 4 stars.

The lock was easy to install and the app is easy to use. Only thing don't like about it is that it does not auto lock when you are in away status.

Love it! Easy step by step installation and integration with my smart home systems. Really love that I didn't have to replace my old lock and retained my key entry ability; looks stock but it's not.

My neighbor tried to convince me to get the Nest door lock but this is so much better. I get to keep my original key and it looks normal from the outside. I also like that the whole thing is a big knob. It is easy to lock and unlock manually. I really like the auto unlocking feature where it recognizes that I am coming home. Only thing I wish they could improve upon is the auto locking feature. You only have the option to auto lock through a set time interval. Lastly, I had some trouble installing it. I had to find the yellow inner plastic piece but the app told me I needed blue. If you are having a tough time installing it, make sure to try switching out the plastic bits.

The August Smart Lock Pro + Connect is a great product for anyone who wants to upgrade their smart home. It works well with both Alexa and Google Assistant so you can control the lock from anywhere in or out of your home. I installed this at my work location so that I don't have to give keys to vendors to get access to our facility. I can just verify them from our indoor home cam and remotely let them in with the August app. I did have to make one modification when installing this smartlock in our door. The thickness of our door is a little wider than normal and so I had to place a metal strip in the mechanism that turns the lock. It worked and I'm satisfied.

The lock was fairly easy to install and it works as intended. The auto lock/unlock is nice. I can also unlock with my Apple Watch. Hopefully there will be some more Alexa routines you can use with the lock.

Easy to install and it’s a great smart lock. Highly recommend the + connect model with the wireless bridge for remote access while away from home. The August app is great too
