Setup
Easy, standard Bluetooth, single button setup to pair. Pairs easily. Has another button for the different Active Noise Cancellation Buttons and a USB-C cable for charging. Fully charged you'll get a full day out of the headphones. I found mine lasted around 15 hours with the ANC in different modes.
Usage
Using these headphones is nice, unlike the earbuds people are going to this had around the neck and back of the ear supports which make it much easier for me to leave them in and use all day, which is nice, unlike earbuds which at least one of my ears get get sore from. So comfort is top notch on these and I don't have any issues with them and my glasses. The sound is good, but I do think having an equalizer on your device is handy to make sure you tune it to take advantage of the different abilities from the bass to the planar drivers. At first I wasn't impressed but once I tuned the sound using an equalizer I realized these had a great amount of tone and I enjoyed the sound and found it had a nice richness to it. The ANC though, it does work, but not as good as some of the other brands and the different between monitor mode and ANC/ON I could not tell. I felt that most of the ANC came from the fact these sit very securely in my ear and create a seal. With it on I did notice a lessening in the fan noise from my computer, but it didn't seem to deaden voices which was interesting. If you are looking for ANC I'd consider looking at other brands to get a better experience that tunes out all the noise, if you just want something that will remove a constant hum from a computer fan, then it works and works well. In any of the modes though I didn't notice any change in the sound quality or music. It was clear. The Mic seemed to work find and give sound, I got no complaints and people could hear me fine.
Overall these are a good set of wonderful sounding headphones that are comfortable wear and if you don't need the best ANC then these I find to be a great choice that will give you some wonderful sound.

First off, nice packaging. It's got the standard slip cover over a nice box with a magnetic flap that snaps shut. Removing the earphones is a bit tedious for a guy with big fingers. It snaps into the molded plastic tray and feels like it's going to break when you pull it out. Once I got it out, I plugged it in to charge it up.
The USB-c charging cable (included) is a welcome sight. Many newer head/earphones I have still use the old USB micro ports and I hate it. Once charged, I paired it up with my Moto G7play and HiFi app. I listened to a number of songs from many genres, everything from old Body Count to Toby Keith. I was surprised by how clear the sound and vocals were, but some of the high notes seems to clip or make a weird sound. I had the volume as high as it would go, which isn't very loud. Maybe like many audio apps and hardware, they sound best a bit below full volume. I really wish there was a way to get more sound out of the earphones. All of the music I tested with were flac files or Apple lossless.
The kit included the cable as mentioned, a nice bag to store the unit in, different size buds to get the right fit and a manual. Once again, everything was nicely packed in 3 small boxes below the unit and tray.
As for fit, these buds are light. You forget there on after a song or two. The controls are on the neck piece and it doesn't bother you either after using it for a few minutes. I was able to pair it easily, but once paired, it tries to become the default sound. I used my phone twice today with the unit off and my phone kept defaulting to it and I was freaked out at first. My line was dead and then I saw the audio signal was taken over by the Ausounds unit. A quick button press switched it back, but after 2 times, I had the phone forget the bluetooth setting.
So overall, would I choose this earphone over some of the others I have. If my needs were noise cancelling and a decent sound, yes, these would fit that need. If I like to really listen to music at higher volumes and with a bit of kick, sadly no, I have some phones that do that job much better.

These headphones are great overall. They come with a small carrying case and different size buds for your ears. One of the best features is the sound quality. They have active noise canceling but they also have pass-through mode which allows you to hear your surroundings with the click of a button. The microphone does extremely well at blocking out background noise. I have talked to multiple people on them and was told they did not even know I was using headphones if sounded so great. The wrap around the ear design is great for moving around and not worrying about losing them. The battery life exceeded my expectations and they were able to be used for multiple days without needing to be recharged. The only downside I found is that if you want to only have one ear bud In it does not work well letting one hang because it offsets the weight. Overall these are really great headphones and I'd recommend them for anyone who is active or would like great call quality.

I love this headset, the buds are comfortable and they have great sound quality! When paired with a newer phone that supports the high res audio LDAC codec the sound is just super crystal clear with the right audio app. The highs sound crisp and clear and the bass is low and clear but not over-exaggerated. I'd say these are really well balanced and adapted for those that want a true balanced sound.
For comfort, I like the neckband, it's not too heavy and I like the fact that there are magnets that hold the buds when you don't have them in. The earbuds themselves fit well for me and are comfortable enough to wear for several hours at a time whether it's in the office at home or during travel. There are a few buttons that let you easily control the noise cancelling effect, volume, digital assistant or track.
They do support the on/off function that turns them on when you remove them from the magnets and put them on and the noise cancelling works well enough for my taste when traveling. Calls sound super clear even in noisy areas.
Overall, I'm impressed with these and the quality of the sound makes them well worth having. They've been reliable and durable so far and I would absolutely recommend them.

I was anxious to get my hands on these earphones because they have some really nice features. The earbuds have hooks attached to hold them in place while exercising and the overall design works great for everything that I like to do.
The design has a comfortable soft horseshoe look to fit around the neck, yet I can't hardly tell that I am wearing them. They are very lightweight as well. I like that the controls are limited to one side, so that I don't need to memorize two sides of buttons.
The buttons work perfectly to active the various active noise cancelation, monitoring mode and the normal mode. The volume rocker buttons control the volume as well as advancing songs with a longer hold. Finally, there is a multi-function button that turns the unit on and off, as well as pausing and resuming the music.
The earphones are have a very rich sound to them, although I was not able to change the EQ levels. I would compare these to any higher end headset for sound quality.

I've had a good few weeks of testing this out now, and I have to say it's a very unique design, but not for me as a person that sweats a lot. I feel like it will break from all the sweating I do from using this while working out or running. The neck piece provides nice comfort of support and stability where if the ear pieces fall out, you know that they won't touch the ground.
Don't get me wrong, the sound is great, but for this price point, I expect a better build quality especially. If these were $50 less in my opinion, it would be a more fair price point. But there's nothing really special about these to me.
I consider myself an audiophile that has tested many varieties of earphones and headphones, and again, sound is superb. But the quality and build of the product itself leaves me wanting more for the price.
Would still recommend, but just at a lower price point.

I love these headphones, simple as that! The fitment is exactly what I have been looking for in a set of ear buds for years. I have tried Bose, Tranya, JLabs, JBL, Beats and Sony. Nothing is as comfortable as these Ausounds!
The neck band is barely noticeable it is so light and it held a charge for hours, I think I ended up over two 10 hour work shifts on a charge.
Sound quality is pretty good for the price. With the noise canceling, you get clear highs, not tinny, great smooth mids and some hefty but not ear blowing bass.
They charge full in about 2 hours from what I can tell. They also had zero issues connecting to 5 devices Austin's!
Packaging was perfect with these headphones, nothing flipping around and everything was secure for shipment. The little carry bag is great as well
I am very happy with these headphones and highly recommend them.

Ausounds Au-Flex ANC

So I've been testing the AUSOUNDS Au-Flex ANC Headphones over the last couple of weeks and here's my take: decent sound quality but an awkward and uncomfortable design for me. Along with the headphones inside the box comes the usual user documentation (including a warranty card), drawstring carry pouch, charging cable and extra ear tips. The AUSOUNDS Au-Flex ANC are very easy much like other bluetooth products to pair and connect with your phone or tablet, or other mobile bluetooth devices. On the inside of the right band are the controls for bluetooth pairing, volume, and ANC (active noise cancellation). Simply press and hold the pairing button and wait for the beep, search for the AUSOUNDS Au-Flex to pop up on your screen under bluetooth and tap to connect.
For my taste, the neckband was a little to thin which made it a bit cumbersome for me to know which buttons I was selecting. Sound quality was impressive, but seemed a bit low even turned all the way up. Just seemed like more fuller sound could have come out. One thing I noticed was that the sound was better (much better) once I switched over to the monitoring mode via the ANC button. ANC worked fairly well and I had no issues out of it, other than my volume seemed muffled when I had ANC on unless I was in the monitoring mode. The behind the ear fit did not seem to fit well behind my ears; not sure if its because it's too flexible and not strong enough to stay in place or what, but it was annoying to have to keep readjusting to keep them in place. These are ok but I've tried others in the same price range with better quality sound.
On a more positive note I do like how the earbuds are magnetic and will stop the song you're listening to when they attract to one another and how playback will resume when you pull them apart.

Decent with Some Help

I was initially disappointed in these but found that with some help they're pretty decent headphones and perform especially well for their price.
First off, the included ear tips are not good. I could not get a good seal or get them to stay put no matter which tip I used. Furthermore the highs were splashy and almost shrill. Eventually I pulled the foam tips off some other IEMs and swapped them out and was much happier. They sealed up well and the foam helped to cut down on some of the highs.
Speaking of the highs, since these are hybrid planars the high end is good. It's clear and pronounced (maybe a little too much around 8K) but not sibilant in any way. If you like sparkly highs, these are for you. If you're sensitive to high frequencies you may want to pass. I have a few hours into these now, and the highs are mellowing out, so they will likely benefit from some burn-in time.
Overall sound is V-shaped with some emphasis on the high and low end. Lows are strong and just a tad boomy for my tastes. They extend just a little into the midrange, but that may be a side effect of changing out the tips. How well they sound varies greatly with source material. One of the weaknesses of good headphones is that they shine a light on every flaw in the recording and mastering process. Listen to Norah Jones' "Don't Know Why" on good cans and you'll appreciate how amazing the recording is right up until the point that her vocals overmodulate on the chorus. Then it's all you'll notice.
This is my first experience with hybrid planars and also with headphones that support the LDAC codec. On my Galaxy Z Flip (basically an updated S10+ with a hinge in the middle) I was able to go into the bluetooth menu, select the headphones and select a toggle to use LDAC. Once set they're able to handle Amazon Music's Ultra HD content without downconverting. The same was true of pairing with my Fiio M11 digital audio player.
Pairing was easy, but occasionally when I try to connect to them my phone tells me they require an app to use and won't connect. Not sure what's going on there, but it doesn't do it every time.
There are a few negatives that really come down to personal preferences. First off, this type of headphone went out of style a while ago. I get that there's a lot to pack into these, so they can't be true wireless at this price point. Also, the ear hooks are rigid, and can't be reshaped. I have big ears and the hooks tend to try to pull the tips out of my ears. Also, every time I adjust my glasses they slip out.
Also, volume is a little low, but I like to listen to music really loud, probably louder than I should. At higher volumes the high end starts to fall apart a little, so I'd recommend listening to them at moderate volume for best fidelity. Sound stage is good. They sound much wider than most in-ear monitors and are on-par with over-ears. Detail is very good. Listening to Porcupine Tree's "Blackest Eyes" I could make out Steven Wilson whispering along with one line of the song that I hadn't noticed before. These seemed to be more tuned for more modern songs, as listening to classic rock sounded flat. Newer music sounds more alive and "musical."
Active noise cancellation is good, somewhat on par with my Sony WF1000XM3 earbuds. These are the first phones I've used where I honestly don't hear a difference in quality with the ANC on or off. There's also a setting to let ambient noise in so you can hear what's going on around you.
In the end, I really like these and would recommend them for commuting. The manufacturer claims they have the same soundstage as a thousand-dollar setup. While this seems like hyperbole to some extent, they definitely sound much better than expected at this price.

The AU Flex earphones sound pretty good, unfortunately I'm not a fan of the style.
The earphones have all the right features anyone would want in a new pair of earphones, they have noise canceling, USB-C fast charging, waterproof, high res audio, and more...What killed it for me was the design. These don't work well for people who wear glasses. The earbuds would constantly keep slipping out, causing them to lose the seal, also the rubber neck band would cause them to keep pulling out of my ears as well. I do like that they tried to do wireless, but I think if they went full on wireless and ditched the neck band and all the wires, then these would be a solid choice.
The earphones are equipped with 3 listening modes, ANC on which is noise canceling, ANC off, and Monitor mode, which I'm assuming is transparency mode (although the instructions never really made that clear). The noise cancelling mode works well for the most part, as long as you have a pretty good seal in your ears. The monitor mode, doesn't really sound any different to me, so I can't really make a judgment call on that. The earphones have built in magnets on the buds, that when attached to each other, turn the headphones off. This would be a lot better if there weren't any wires at all, because I kept getting them tangled up together.
The sound quality in the earphones are pretty solid. They have a nice rich sound that provide good highs and deep bass. While they're not the best earphones I've ever heard, they do offer exceptional sound quality.
The neck band is made out of a rubber silicone, that tends to stick to your skin if you sweat, making it tug on the earphones while they're in your ear. On the end of the neck band are buttons for music controls: vol up and down, the pause/play button and the ANC button. Other than the ANC button (which automatically turns off everytime you turn off the headphones), I don't use the buttons, as doing so would cause the buds to loosen. So I would just use my phone to control vol and playback.
Overall, the AU Flex are good sounding headphones with some good features. Unfortunately, the way that they're designed doesn't make them good for glasses. The noise cancelling works, just as long as you have a good seal in your ear. The best feature is the sound quality, these do offer pretty amazing sound, if you can wear them long enough to listen to them. These are good headphones, unfortunately, they just aren't for me.

The headphones easily and quickly connected to my Android phone. The charging port is well hidden on one of the main unit so you will probably have to reference the instructions on finding it. Charge time only took about an hour out of the box. The body around your neck is soft, light and very comfortable. The ear pieces fit well and the sound quality is very good. I like having the ear pieces hooked to the part around my neck so I don't lose them while sleeping.

Earphones that stay in my ears!

Finally some "ear buds" that stay in my ears due to the comfortable
design and the swivel design buds.
Easily paired with my I-phone 10 and the phone quality/microphone sound are great. Sound is awesome with incredible bass out of such a small enclosure - it rivals that of "over the ear" headphones. Includes "ANC" (active noise cancellation) which is a game changer and makes the sound even better - if that's possible.
They have great range from the phone/source to headset, charge quickly, and last a long time on a single charge.
Controls seemed difficult at first but are easily memorized and a breeze after that. Includes volume up/down, pause button for calls, and you can skip to the next song by holding the "up" volume button.
Overall a great set of earphones that sound as good as full size but are much more comfortable to wear. Five stars for sure!

Decent natural sound, strange design...

These AUSounds headphones sound great. Let me start there.
The audio output was excellent from something with such small drivers, and mids, as well as high frequency sounds were crisp and clear. Bass was a little on the light side, but that's what I expect from this price range, and I thought it resembled many "reference sound" tunings I've experienced in the past. There is support for AAC and SBC codecs, but not Apt-X which seems to be reserved for higher price tags. The Noise Cancelling is active, and worked great in my trials, though I question the target market with a product like this (ideally for runners, other workouts) where ANC tends to be less popular. I wasn't able to get a "hear-through" mode working to use the ANC to enhance hearing the environment while music or media played, which I thought would be more important to runners than the cancellation iteself.
Lets talk about the design of these headphones... A "behind the neck" band that seems to be going the way of the dodo with the advent of "true wireless" buds these days, even when ear hooks are involved - I didn't think anyone was still pushing this design which screams: "I'm from 2014!" The real issue I have with the design is twofold: First of all, the control buttons are on these "nodes" on the ends of the neckband instead of inline on the way up to the ears - Other brands mastered the "behind the neck" design by making the battery and inline controls part of the flow from earpiece to neckband, and any bulges were smartly aligned with a single flowing "curve" from one ear hook or bud to the other. These headphones have a neckband with two large bulges on the front, then a thinner ear-bound cable that protrudes in a different direction from each bulge to the ear hooks (and eventually the buds themselves). On top of this strange looking design, the control buttons (on the right end of the neckband) are placed on the INSIDE of the neckband. You know... Against your NECK instead of outward facing where they could be pressed while being worn. This led me to halfway disassembling my setup each time I wanted to make an adjustment until getting used to the button layout. Not ergonomic nor natural.
The second design "why" comes in the form of the earbuds themselves. While I love the ear hook and bud design in general, I found the magnetic feature, where the two buds could be held together around the user's neck when not in use, to be a strange design choice thanks to the wired ear hook design and the fact that the buds will connect with one another, but then hang twisted due to their weight and the hooks not sitting against your chest. This was a strange feature to adopt on headphones with such a strange design. Still puzzled by that one.
The headset comes with a microfiber pouch for a case, which can contain the included USB Type C charging cable also - Its an A-C cable, which I understand since most laptops and charging devices are still USB Type A, but I would have appreciated a USB-C to C cable just as much, being a Dell Precision and MacBook Pro user myself where USB-A ports are a thing of the past.

Disappointing Sound

There is so much to like about this earphone. It is comfortable and light, operation is simple and intuitive, the earpieces are comfortable and unobtrusive, and the battery life seems nice.
The sound is clear with reasonable volume.
But it's the sound that ultimately made me dislike this "High Fidelity" earphone - though what I dislike is difficult to describe. There is no noticeable distortion and I don't think the equalization is somehow off. But recordings sound like they are missing some presence or intimacy.
When you go to hear music in a big concert hall with amplification, the sound system can be perfectly clear and might reproduce sound very faithfully - but in the processing of that sound, you can tell that you are hearing a processed version of the music. I have never heard anything like that in headphones before but that's how I would describe what I dislike about these headphones - perhaps it's an artifact of some of the specific electronic circuitry (?). My music sounds like it is strangely distant from me - I have never heard anything like that before and it is very disappointing.
