I don't have to constantly go out to a watermill and refill gallons of water. It connects straight to your faucet or fridge, if compatible. It does make a small whir noise when it starts up to cool water. Its settings are hot (scalding hot), cool (a small, slow drip), and cold (can run out if you use it up quickly). Set-up took about 45 minutes, but it was pretty simple. You do have to replace the filters every 6 months. The light is very small but looks nice. It is connected to our tap water, and there is no strong taste, which I am pretty impressed with. Overall I am content with my purchase because it saves me from buying water bottles.

Living on the second floor apartment has been a challenge for my husband and I carrying cases of water and or big gallons of water bottle for our big and bulky water dispenser. We are saving time, our back and the planet. At least lasting us a year. We love it!!!

Functions great BUT be aware that it will NOT fit under a standard cabinet height (18in.)! Had to raise wall cabinet 3 inches. Yes I said raise the cabinet three inches. Fortunately it was a stand alone cabinet so it doesn't look terrible.
