I fell in love with this show way back when it was on Nickelodeon, had to wait from week to week, season to season. Finally got the series on DVD. My daughter got ahold of the DVDs and also fell in love with Avatar and my DVDs were lost to me forever, until I found this gem online. It is an amazing story and very well written. The action is awesome and the characters keep you intrigued to see what happens next. An absolute must if you’re into anime or action adventure cartoons.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is an incredible animated series that sucks you into this very inventive and developed world of powerful beings, heroes, villains, some of the best drama and storytelling I've ever seen in an animated series. Do yourself a favor and watch this show. You will not be disappointed.

It was hard to find an independent blu-Ray copy of Avatar: The Last Airbender anywhere else, so I’m happy Best Buy was still selling it and would recommend buying it to anyone else who is a fan of the first installment in the Avatar franchise.

Avatar the last airbender is an excellent series that builds the characters well and has great story lines. It also has a few running gags in the series that I think are pretty funny. I recommend this series and think it is great.

Love the case and can’t wait to rewatch the whole series!

I don’t know what these other people are thinking giving this set 1 star. This is a fantastic release, and easily the best this show has ever looked AND sounded. First of all, to those of you who thought this would somehow be widescreen.. you clearly do not understand what it would take to make that happen. The entire series was drawn and composed for a 4:3 frame (that means black bars on the left and right). So not only would expanding it to widescreen 16:9 ruin the original intended composition for the series, but it would be near impossible because it would require every frame of the series to be redrawn at the wider aspect ratio. You think Nickelodeon has the time, money, and projected sales numbers to justify re-animating all 3 seasons of Avatar? That’s absurd. Secondly, the series was animated in 480p, yep that’s standard definition. And the original DVDs look like garbage thanks to various visual artifacts and bad compression. The remaster they did here was the absolute best they could do given the source material. Even the Fan Remaster from the past couple years doesn’t quite hit the fidelity captured here, and it only gets close by applying some visual filters that alter the visual style of the series (thinner lines = sharper). This blu-ray looks great for what it is, and to expect it to look as clean and crisp as modern day animation is simply outrageous. Finally, this is the first time the audio for ATLA has been released in such good quality (Lossless DTS-HD 2.0 stereo). That should be a selling point by itself! It sounds great and NO it’s not surround because that’s never how the series was originally mixed. I’m just thankful that Nickelodeon didn’t cater to the ignorant and crop the series to widescreen and poorly upmix the stereo to surround just to please people who have no idea what they’re talking about. Also this blu-ray set includes all the original special features. It’s just a great deal. Go buy it if you love the series.

After waiting so long for this great series to be on BluRay, this edition turned out to be so disappointing. The video is not sharp at all, instead it is slightly blurred! Outrageous failure, I returned my copy and ended up getting the BluRay Season 5 copy of Game of Thrones...BestBuy like always, was great and allowed the exchange.

This series deserves more credit than it receives. The story is fantastic, the animation and character development are done well and the overall message delivered is just right. The blu-ray set contains the same material as the DVD set, although there are less discs to swap out as you watch through. The picture quality is improved but not as good as I was expecting.

Avatar is one of the best series ever made in my opinion. It’s a must watch for people of all ages. And not just kids. It has amazing rewatch value as well. The blu ray disc is of good quality but is limited to 1080p. It’s not a remastered version of the series. The audio quality is very good. The video however is by default cropped on a 4K TV screen. Overall, an essential buy.

The picture quality is great compared to a friends dvd and definitely should get the blue ray version big diffrence. This show is one of my favorites and couldnt wait any longer for netflix to release the show so instead id opted to buy a physical copy and watch this amazing show whenever and this show is for all ages i mean i watched it when i was about 6 and 7 years old and loved that show and was in awe in the finale in season 3 and sad to learn that they werent making a 4th season but actually instead preferred that garbage movie that shouldnt have existed and wouldve gave us a 4th season but besides that all these years later i am now 19 almost 20 and just wanted to watch it again and so when i bought this and watch all 3 seasons in about week i came to realize that this show was far passed its expectations i had for it since it was dark and comedic and still had me glued to every episode even if i had a vague idea of what was next and if anyone is thinking of buying this you should and watch it with friends,kids, adults, or whoever would give this show a chance and i hope i still have this when i get around to having kids so that i can show them this one of a kind animated show.

The box itself is great with the slip cover being the avatar state and the the case being Aang and friends. The show is in amazing quality on blu- ray and the great behind the scenes features make it to the collection. If you love the series I highly recommend it

I love this Blu-ray dvd set. It was delivered right on time and my husband absolutely loves it.

Great movie. Great quality for price. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Happy to have my daughter watch something I grew up with.

My daughter saw this and insisted we get it with a gift card. I had heard of it (and heard it was good) but didn't know much about it. The multi-disk set was nicely packaged, and once we got home my daughter and I started to watch it. Very entertaining and enjoyable.

Watched this with my kids when they were little. Always wanted to see it again. So when i found this i had to buy it. It looks and plays great.

Talk about childhood nostalgia. Watched it as a kid, loved it, now I’ve watched it as an adult and I still love it! I don’t even know how to describe how much I’ve enjoyed this series and how attached I’ve become to these fictional characters. It will forever remain one of my favorites. Can’t wait to show this to my children one day.

I love the Avatar and when I saw they released the full compete set of the series on blu-ray I had to buy this. Picture is crisp and clean. Downside is its only in 4:3 resolution but if your tv comes with custom display changes then I set up the screen to be widescreen display and its full screen with the HD picture. Love it!

Only started watching the set, but the picture quality of the show in HD is excellent (playing on a 4k uhd blu-ray player through a 4k tv). Great value having the full series in one set. Would have preferred the set to be boxed differently, the enlarged 9 disc Blu-ray case seems like it could break somewhat easily.

Best animated series from Nick in a long time. I wish this could been a remaster, but it a great way to own the complete series

I was reluctant to watch Avatar when it first premiered on Nickelodeon in 2005. I felt like I was a bit too old for Nick cartoons. I was watching shows like Lost, but I still enjoyed watching anime shows like Big-O and Cowboy Bebop. I was looking for shows with longer story arcs. A couple of years later before streaming subscriptions revolutionized the entertainment industry, I found myself with nothing to watch. I started watching Avatar on a whim. To my surprise it was everything I ever wanted. The plot and characters were well thought out and the history and world was deep. I quickly binged the first two seasons just before the third and watched weekly thereafter. Now I’ll take a chance on any cartoon hoping it’s as good if not better than Avatar. I own both the Blu-ray and DVD sets. I would have been content with the DVD set if it weren’t for the double-line issues on the first disc. The Blu-ray set is upscaled and not remastered, but it’s definitely worth the extra bucks.
