I don't know what I expected ,but was pleasantly surprised with the story, content, and visuals.

This movie is pretty much Punisher driven. Black widow does offer up support- further backstory/tragic element development, but if these two aren't your cup of tea, look elsewhere. The other Avengers are literally animated garnish, sprinkled in at the end just to be able to call it an Avengers movie. I happen to really like Frank Castle (too bad he's not real), and his M.O., so the lack of the "bigger names" didn't affect my viewing of this. It is a well written story, the animation is lovely but the feel and tones are dark and intense, and not really suited to smaller children. Glad I bought this, makes me want to give Frank a big ol' hug and now I know Natasha is a person, and not just a pair of lethal thighs.

I'm a big Black Widow fan, so this movie was worth it to see a bit more of her as a character. I would say this story painted her in a fairly soft light, not so much as the spy who is trying to atone for her past. The story is interesting enough to get by, but what really makes the film is the fluid action scenes. I was a bit skeptical about the anime style, but it works. Watch this if you are a fan of either character!

Got it for the Punisher! Punisher has been one of my favorite comic characters for a LONG time so it was great to see him killing bad guys in this animated feature. Teaming up with Black Widow and by the end of the movie some of the Avengers. I really enjoyed it!

It's great that marvel tried to give Black Widow the spot light, I'm not a huge fan of anime style, but this movie had good animation, especially in the fight scenes. The voice acting was decent and the story was good. I would pick this up if it was on sale, it's a decent addition to any marvel DVD collection

I own quite a few AVENGERS tittles. This movie ,I found , was better than some but not as good as other ones I have. I rate this tittle ,on a scale of 1 to 10 , a 7. I do tend to trade-in movies that do not interest me as having multiple viewings. I liked AVENGERS CONFIDENTIAL well enough to keep it.

It was nice to watch a movie with the Punisher and see the more graphic violence (i.e. slit throats, broken limbs, etc.) that is signature Punisher, than a "clean" version for the kids. This movie is geared more for the adult audience. For those who can keep it in perspective, very entertaining.

A great animated film by Marvel. This one takes place outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but does feature many of the same characters (Black Widow, Iron Man, Hulk, etc.). The animation is high quality and I highly recommend for any Marvel fan.

I picked up this title to fill a lazy superhero Saturday. It expands newcomers awareness of the Marvel universe with a focus on the two main characters with cameos of other favorites. It may be a little violent for younger viewers.

Did not expect much going in, but it was a little better than expected. Still getting used to the "anime" style that Marvel will use from time to time. Storyline was pretty good also. For $10, it was a good purchase.

Marvel continues to put out great products. I'll admit, their animation dept is behind their live action stuff, but this was a very good movie. It, like all their animation, is aimed more towards the younger crowd.

The story was cool how it weaved charachters I know together in a way that made sense. The animation style is seems kinda like anime, which isn't my style. The actors were good & a strong story kept me hooked.

Marvel Anime has been hit and miss over the last few years. However, this movie creates an action packed story with great animation. The plot and voice acting was not the best. But, it is enjoyable overall.

I like the storyline and combination of characters for the movie. I hadn't realized Marvel had branched out to manga-style animation. It was interesting to see these heroes in that style.

Everyone knows that Marvel is king of Live Action superhero movies and DC is king of animated superhero movies. However, this movie was easily on the level of a DC animated movie. I came in expected something fairly decent and what I got was something amazing. The animation is some of the best I've ever seen in the genre and the action, plot and characters worked really well as well. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone on the fence about the movie or those that love a good DC animation film.

If you're looking for a Marvel cartoon with impressive fight scenes, this is a great place to look. Unfortunately, the storyline and character motivations aren't among its strengths. The romantic subplot makes no sense, let alone how it's resolved. I also had issue Nick Fury being a d-bag bureaucrat and Punisher just being generally unlikeable. Black Widow would have been alright, if not for the voice actor and the fact that she constantly needed to be saved. Like I said though, the action's good enough to warrant a view.

Was psyched to get some movie bucks (for Amazing Spider-Man 2) for this film. Marvel Animation is always done properly, looking forward to more punisher cartoons in the future.

loved the animation and story line. its like reading a comic book with out reading. Action throughout, and the most important thing is the good guys triumph over evil.

Wasn't sure how these 2 teaming up would work out, but it worked out just as you'd expect. Very good animation. More Marvel and DC movies need to go this route

This movie was not what we expected. It was originally a japanese anime film that they dubbed and released in north america. The guest appearance of The Punisher made for a good addition to the story and Black Widow had a significant role in the whole story. We were disappointed though because the main Avengers like Hulk, Iron Man, etc. had such a short appearance. The focus was more on Punisher's storyline. But overall, still a unique take on Marvel's A-team of superheroes.
