It doesn’t get any bigger than this
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Marvel Studios somehow manage to keep finding ways to outdo themselves, upping the ante, tying together 20 films for the ultimate confrontation. For most directors this would be a challenge, but Anthony and Joe Russo handle a dizzying cast of characters with the help of a solid script by Christopher Marcus and Stephen McFeely. The character combinations are outstanding, from Tony Stark and Doctor Strange to Thor, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot. While this film has plenty of satisfying action scenes, it’s these character interactions and exchanges that make the movie so entertaining to watch. And for a movie that has the highest stakes of any Marvel film, it features some of the best jokes in the entire series. For a long film (about two and a half hours), it flies by before you realize it.

The Best MCU mvuie
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Movie review: This was simply the best MCU movie in the entire 22 movie series including Engdame. The pace was perfect, the story was gripping, and every scene kept me glued to the the action. Thanos as the antogonist is one of the best bad guys created for the big screen, and every major superhero character seem to have just the right amount of screen time. I feared with all the characters it would be difficult to pull off but the writers succeeded and then some! I know Endgame made the biggest pile of money but I believe credit goes to Infiinity War for the build up. BluRay review: I bought the 4K disc and it was fantastic. Every scene was clear, colorful, and sharp. One of the best looking movies I've seen on my Samsung QLED TV.

A fitting conclusion to the Avengers series
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie was unbelievable. It wasn't perfect for me, but it was close and it wrapped things up (both for the Avengers series and MCU Phase 3) far better than I expected it would or could. It's one of the very few films that I've been willing to watch in the theater more than once. It was epic, it was moving, it was climactic. My wife thought there should've been a higher proportion of action scenes, an opinion she's NEVER before expressed, but I really appreciated the time the Russo brothers spent on developing the story. A minor quibble is that I feel like the Russos didn't stay true to their own time travel rules but they claimed they did so perhaps I need to watch it again. Regardless, this film is a tremendous achievement.

As Good as Avengers!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a fan of Marvel movies. I have seen all of them on the big screen and also on Blu Ray. I have several favorites, e.g., Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America, the Winter Soldier, Black Panther. Now the third installment in Avengers (The Infinity war) is also added to my favorites. I can say it is almost as good the first Avengers! The movie is pure fun! I enjoyed it on the big screen as well as on Blu Ray. Story is good, cast is excellent, and special effects are top notch. I can't wait to see the next one on April 26th. The Blu Ray disc has outstanding audio and video and offers a bonus Digital HD copy of the movie. The Best Buy price was unbeatable too. Highly recommend the Blu Ray! Go get a copy and enjoy the movie.

Must own for any Marvel Studios fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2018 was a great year for Marvel Studios with the release of Black Panther followed by Infinity War. Many fans will argue which was the better film, but I preferred Infinity War, if for nothing else it was incredible seeing all the heroes together on the big screen. Speaking of big screen, the aspect ratio on this Blu-ray was NOT the IMAX aspect ratio, so it didn't take up the entire 1920 x 1080 screen, sadly. Like the other Marvel Studios films it was chock full of special features. I especially enjoyed the writers' and directors' commentary. Also, the movie contained perhaps the most thrilling moment in the Studios' 10 year history when Thor arrived in (SPOILER ALERT) Wakanda.

Great Movie!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Anyone reading this review has likely seen the previous Avengers films. In that case, let me keep this short and sweet. This movie is longer, better, and just overall good fun to watch! The storyline takes center stage but I won't give anything away. The acting is great as usual with special effects and CGI being top notch, something we have come to expect from Marvel Studios. The heroic scenes are great but they also deceive you as you think this might happen due to the rush of adrenaline but instead, something of the opposite happens. I will say Thor is rocking it hard in this film. Buy this movie, you won't regret it!

Great character build
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive seen Infinity War numerous times and realized after a year I didnt actually have a physical bluray. I like discs...just something about it I like rather than just streaming in 4K. This is my favorite Marvel film for numerous reasons but the main reason is because of Thanos. The character development of Thanos and his story was well executed and perfectly balanced. So many movies gloss over character development of the antagonist which leads movies to be incomplete and simply boring...in my opinion atleast. Anyway, the film looks great in 4K and is a great addition to my collection.

It's got everything you're looking for and more!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this one because I missed it during it's theatrical release and I wanted to be prepared for ENDGAME. You could nap during the middle hour of ENDGAME and you wouldn't be missing much, but not true for INFINITY WAR. This adventure is jam packed with action and conflict from start to finish. This was, to quote the cliche, AWESOME! I look forward to taking this disc for another ride and then filing it for it's superior standout shelf space between AGE OF ULTRON and the far weaker ENDGAME when it does get it's bluray release -- only because I'll eventually need to complete the set, right?

Non stop entertainment and action
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best, #1, head honcho, big cheese, big deal, numero uno of the 4 Avengers films. You have action, adventure, insane special effects and CG work. Excellent Marvel sarcasm and interaction between the heroes. One of the best villain portrayals, without going into deep character development. So much that at times you will find yourself having emotions for a positive conclusion for the heel. Only drawback of the film is the oversized cast of good and evil participants, which may, limit the screen time for the hero or villain you want to see.

The end is near
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t need to say much about this movie. If you love the MCU then this movie is a no brainer. Thanos and the Black Order are fantastic villains. Some of the best moments are when the Avengers meet The Guardians of the Galaxy which is beyond awesome. I never realized how much I would love Thor, Teenage Groot & Rocket. This movie will have you in your feelings especially during the first viewing of the movie. I was laughing, angry, hyped, devastated & sad throughout the movie. Definitely recommend Infinity War.

Awesome Movie!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am leaving a 5 star rating on this review because the movie is AWESOME but unfortunately for me when I bought this movie from Best Buy someone must have been slick enough to return it but not before they stole the original discs and resealed the packaging with bootlegs. The sucky part for me is that since it was months and months after my purchase that I decided to rewatch the movie I didn't open the packaging waaaay after I had already trashed the receipt. But with that said the movie is awesome!

Important film & a great Blu-ray purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's no understating the importance of Avengers: Infinity War. In many ways, Infinity War is like the exclamation point on the end of the sentence that started with Marvel's The Avengers in 2012. Before 2012, we had superhero films but never had there been separate franchises that collided in a single film. Infinity War picks up where the Thor: Ragnarok's mid-credits scene ends, which has the Asgardian refugee ship being attacked by Thanos and his minions, the Black Order -- or the "Children of Thanos," as they're called in Infinity War. Thanos starts the film having already ravaged Xandar and gotten the Power Stone from the Nova Corps. He beats Thor and Hulk pretty handedly and takes the Tesseract/Space Stone from Loki, whom Thanos kills. With his dying breaths, Heimdall sends an unconscious Hulk to Earth by using his big 'ole sword to conjure some Bifrost dark magic so that Hulk/Banner can give the Avengers a heads-up about Thanos' plan. With 2 Infinity Stones, Thanos sends his Children -- Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Cull Obsidian, and Ebony Maw -- to Earth to retrieve the Time and Mind Stones while Thanos heads to Knowhere to get the Reality Stone from the Collector. End of the opening scene of Avengers: Infinity War. From that point, Infinity War is a non-stop, edge-of-your-seat ride, filled to the brim with character interactions we've been waiting for since 2013's Guardians of the Galaxy, 2016's Doctor Strange, and 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming. It's no understatement to call Infinity War relentless as there's hardly a single quiet moment in the film that allows you to catch your breath. Virtually every scene either furthers the plot, fills-out character backstory, enhances motivation, or contains infinitely entertaining action with jaw-dropping set pieces, culminating in a final sequence that is faithful to the comics storyline from which Infinity War gets its namesake while still being incredibly emotional and utterly devastating. Let's be clear: If you're not already a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or have love for Marvel comics characters, Infinity War won't be much more than a somewhat operatic science fiction/adventure film with above-average special effects. But if you've spent the past decade with these characters that have been introduced and developed over 19 films, there's really nothing NOT to love here, including an ending that will be as devastating on a fifth watch as it is on the first. Now let's talk about the 4K steelbook, which is a Best Buy exclusive. Over the past three or so years, I've made a point of purchasing the steelbook version of every single major release. With films from other non-Disney studios, I appreciated being able to buy the 4K steelbook, which contains both Blu-ray and a UHD Blu-ray discs, meaning that I was essentially future-proofing my Blu-ray collection. With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Disney FINALLY started releasing their own UHD Blu-ray discs, meaning that I could start buying the 4K steelbook sets of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films I've loved. Admittedly, I was somewhat disappointed in the cover art on the Best Buy steelbooks for Avengers: Infinity War. Sure, it's well-done art, but I was expecting something a little more "epic," especially considering how great other MCU steelbooks have been. For instance, the Doctor Strange steelbook that looks like one of the magic texts at Kamar-Taj with the Eye of Agamotto at the center is particularly beautiful. I wasn't really sold by the Thor-Ragnarok and Black Panther steelbooks specific because of their cover art, which looks a lot like a Photoshop project that a fanboy would make and post on Reddit or some other forum. For both of those films, I preferred the artwork on the non-steelbook covers. Even the Spider-Man: Homecoming cover art was better, but I had high hopes that an MCU installment as important as Infinity War would warrant epic cover art. To my disappoint, that didn't end up being the case and, instead, the cover art was only medium. As for what's inside the steelbook case, I'm satisfied. I watched the film with the commentary that featured the Russo Bros. and the screenwriters, Markus and McFeely. All of them provided a lot of really interesting insights into the development and production of Infinity War, including why certain creative decisions were made and how those creative choices evolved from early conception of Infinity War as Part 1 of a two-part film event. There's also plenty of featurettes for fans to watch, so this doesn't have to be a Blu-ray purchase that you never touch after getting it home and watched the film again. So why am I giving the Infinity War 4K steelbook a five-star review? Well, most Blu-ray reviews are seen as reflecting the quality of the film rather than the quality of the actual physical Blu-ray. So my five-star review should be seen as reflecting my views of the quality and importance of the film itself rather than the quality of this steelbook release. To be clear, this steelbook is exceptionally made; whereas the Last Jedi 4K steelbook I bought was severely bent to the point of not closing completely, this one is pristine. Honestly, the only major issue I have with this release is the somewhat lackluster cover artwork, which could've been so much better. And it's for that reason that it didn't feel right to dock the film in my rating. Hopefully, Avengers 4 -- which, as of Sept. 2018, still doesn't have an official name -- has much better cover art to match the epic scope and impressive achievements of Infinity War and its sequel. But, like I said, if you're a fan of the MCU, and if you're collecting steelbooks and buying 4K media, you really can't go wrong, partly because you really don't have any other options if you want an Infinity War 4K steelbook.

A True Superhero Crossover Event
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie isn't like most Marvel movies. Most of them revolve around a hero and his enemy, they fight a bunch of times, learn some lessons, but end up victorious ready for the next fight. This is not that movie. Thanos is the hero here, every former hero in the Marvel Universe the enemy. The fights are titanic and visually pleasing, the story intriguing and never lets up, and then there's the ending. The whole Marvel Cinematic Universe built up to this moment, and it fully delivers.

A wild ride for the current culmination of the Mar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The buildup of 10 years with of Marvel movies brings us to this first part of characters from all of the films playing their part to take on the mighty villain, Thanos, and thwart his master plan of acquiring special stones that will give him immense power. Each of the Marvel characters are given a decent amount of time on-screen, adding to their part of the story. Lots of great suspense and action throughout will make you cheer and mourn at the same time. Recommended.

don't let Thanos snap his fingers
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Avengers: Infinity War ably juggles a dizzying array of MCU heroes in the fight against their gravest threat yet, and the result is a thrilling, emotionally resonant blockbuster that (mostly) realizes its gargantuan ambitions. Never has the "Marvel Cinematic Universe" seemed like more of a universe, in ways both good and bad. Infinity War-the title is almost too apt-is far from a perfect movie, but it is probably close to the best movie it could have been

Absolutely Love It ! ! !
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty sure this is my favorite movie in the MCU and it's most likely the best one too. Non-stop Thrill Ride with a very cohesive villain-focused story that makes us understand Thanos' motives while enjoying the usual banter between our favorite heroes. Also nice to see characters interacting that havn't met before; Not to mention great action scenes. It's truly a visual masterpiece all from the pages of a comic book. Doesn't get much better than this.

A good super hero movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Frankly, I'm tired of super hero movies. This one at least breaks a lot of conventions in terms of who wins and loses. Without giving away the story, some (many) lose a lot. Of course, with time bending/traveling, all will likely be rewritten for the next movie. Too many characters appear as little more than cameos. Their appearance allows boxes to be checked. Still, it was more entertaining than many other recent movies in this genre. It was much less predictable.

Thanos Is Coming
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After being teased in the end credits since The Avengers, Thanos is ready to snap- literally. The entire MCU is woven together for different reasons but all with one common goal- stop Thanos. With the worlds best defender missing ( Iron Man) Team Capt comes home, links up with friends old and new in Wakanda to protect the infinity stone in Vison's head, while Iron Man, GoTG, Spiderman and Dr. Strange try and stop Thanos on Titan . Will it be enough?

A Great Culmination of Marvel's Best
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What is there to say about Infinity War that hasn't already been said? This entire film is massive in scale, both with the gigantic, star-studded cast and the scope of the danger Thanos presents. Thanos is an excellent villain with understandable (if insane) motivations. The Russo brothers did a great job framing him of the film while giving each Avenger a decent amount of screentime as well. Watching this movie in 4K is an awesome experience.

Marvel’s Culmination Of Movie History
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Remember when movies about comic books were terrible? This generation has never experienced that thanks to Marvel. It’s amazing that this movie studio has had over 20 strong movies, and even more mind boggling that they’ve figured out a way to collect all of that into one movie that respects every character that has contributed to this. This movie runs over two hours, but it will feel much less when it ends. Still great to watch over and over again.
