I'm a fan of both Armand Amar and Levon Minassian, the composer of the soundtrack, and the duduk player that played a lot of pieces of the sound track. The story line and character development fit so well with the music. It is a spiritual movie, and it is such a calming and uplifting movie to watch. It provides a nice painting of Sufism and the concept of a dervish. This movie is better described as art rather than as entertainment. I highly recommend this movie to those that like spiritual, philosophical art films. For those that don't have the refined "bourgeoisie" tastes, this movie is one of the most accessible art films due to the beauty of the music and the desert scenery. Many art films are too pretentious and difficult to follow, but this film is one of the best art films for someone that is not a veteran of the genre.
