I was so eager to love this while traveling. Conceptually, it’s great. Super comfortable and ergonomic. Buttons highly responsive. Supports phone securely in place + option to charging passthrough on bottom right of controller. If you are planning to use this to play downloaded games to your phone from Apple Arcade/Store, the backbone is a wonderful option. If you’re scooping the Backbone to play XBox or Playstation remotely, I would reconsider and/or run some tests via respective console before purchase. it’s fully possible that my home network speed just isn’t supportive of remote play. If that’s the case, then the Backbone is a great value for remote gameplay. Isn’t suitable for my needs so I’m personally returning :(

Great accessory however only for iPhone. Tried to download Backbone app for iPad Mini, no dice. Only supports connection if you manually set the backbone to use on iPad. Just felt it had limited use. If you are using it primarily with your iPhone, then this Rocks!

Awesome to use. Plug and play style and compact gaming. Would recommend for any gamer on the go.

I love it. The buttons are clicky and responsive. It enables me to game on the go without having a bulky controller that sticks out like a sore thumb. The adapter for the 13 pro max is great too.

Controller itself is very good quality, great for the price. Two reasons why I’m giving it 4 stars, 1 you can’t use it with any case or camera protector glass and 2 it makes you download and purchase an app. Other than that the controller works fine great for gaming.

So far I like this product quite a bit. The controls feel nice and it connects to my phone easily. It is ergonomic. I use it to play on Xbox Game Pass and it really adds some flexibility for gaming on the go or if the family is using the TV. I feel it is pretty expensive so I hope it lasts. I did experience a couple of instances of left joystick drift which caused me some concern. It went away and Backbone has a one year warranty if it comes back. I baby this thing and keep it in a case. I hope this was just a fluke but time will tell. Overall I recommend it - if it lasts.

Love this for gaming on the go if I don't bring my switch I bring this super easy to travel with! only downside is I have to take off my case for it to be put on but other than that its a great product

Great Product for on the Go Gaming! Very easy to install on phone as well as app! Works amazing with Xbox Game Pass and my iPhone 11Pro. Really like the wired headset port and wired power port on controller. Able to charge phone and play.

Very easy to use, the durability when I’ve dropped it on hardwood floor has been good. I love the fact that you can have it charging while playing the games on it. Makes gaming so much more convenient.

All good things to say about this device, just 2 things that really bother me, one is the clicky buttons. When im playing on my bed in at night i notice that buttons are really loud and i feel its a bit distracting, 2nd is the always on backbone button, this very bright button in a dark room is not ideal, that i known of theres no way to turn off or lower the brightness of it. However that being said this device has a lot going for it and as an added bonus they give you 3 months free for discord nitro and a month of xbox gamepass for free. What a time to be alive.

Easy to use and works as advertised! I recommended to a couple friends. They both purchased and feel the same way! Also, this is a brand that cares about their customers!

Honestly idk what Sony is thinking… this device is all you need for remote play from PS5. 2 steps forward 1 step back is what it looks like. Rant over. Great device for the price, comes bundled with some decent freebies (discord nitro etc). Feels great in the hand with quality face buttons, triggers and analog sticks. The backbone software was also quite useful, feature a game launcher, social chat rooms and voice chat rooms. Tested with Diablo immortal, retro emulators, and PS5 remote play. The only thing missing is software support to map onscreen buttons to the controller for games that don’t support controller input.

The backbone was not easy to setup. I think it had a bug or something. Purchased for my son for Christmas and he wasn’t able to use it until May. This was after countless emails back and forth to backbone support. You got to a certain spot in the setup and it froze. There was no way around it. Once we got it up and running my son loved it. We travel frequently and he uses it when we are on the road.

Purchased this for our grandson for Christmas and his smile said it all. Great little controller to remote play. I ended up buying one for myself and take it everywhere.
