Backdraft is my all time favorite fire fighter movie. I remember watching this for the first time as a kid and absolutely loving it. When I heard they were rereleasing it on 4k and in steelbook format I just had to have it. Awesome looking case and perfect for any movie lovers collection.

By far the best version of this movie available. Picture quality was really good colors popped and details really stood out, such as skin textures, fire trucks and names on equipment really stood out. The new dtsx soundtrack was awesome if you have a avr that does 7.2.4 you will enjoy this. The fire scenes were the firefighters are inside the buildings was awesome sounding. Sounds came from from all directions and overhead, one of the best dtsx soundtracks I've heard yet. Though I've seen this movie on satellite DVD cable I've never bought a copy till the 4k dtsx version. Glad I now have it in my collection.

A classic movie centered around a family with multiple generations in the fire service. One is an established Captain who has earned the respect of the men under him , while his younger brother decides to join up and realizes it will take alot to measure up to his brother and meet his standards. This UHD 4K release is a huge step up from the original Bluray release in terms of sound and visual quality. Anybody who enjoys this movie should definately consider an upgrade if you can do 4K.

The Movie: Backdraft is simply put - awesome. It shows the dangers of being a firefighter and how thankful we are to them. On the flip side, sprinkle in a little Hollywood formula plot that rounds the movie out and you've got a very entertaining movie. 4K Picture Quality: There are some scenes that look good; colors pop and HDR really makes them pop even more. Then there are some scenes that remind you that you're watching a 28 year old film. Audio Quality: Good for what it does. During scenes where they're in a burning building, it makes tolerable use of the surrounds. Bass is OKAY. Dialogue for the most part is clear, but some lines spoken sound a little muffled.

I Have rarely said that any older movie has been incredibly enhanced by 4K, but this movie is definitely the exception! I am very impressed with the clarity and the HDR aspects of this movie. There May be a little bit of static in a few picture frames, but you'll ignore it because of how impressed you'll be with the brightest of brights and darkest of dark colors ; HDR !

This is one of my favorite movies. Kurt Russell and especially Robert DeNiro are excellent in thi story of the brave men who fight fires. Although I have owned the blu ray for many years, I bough the 4K version. It’s like seeing the film for the first time. The quality of the print is fantastic!

This is a Great and a classic movie. Even better on 4k. One of the great films directed by Ron Howard

Always loved movies about fire fighters, there’s something special about watching heroes do their duties even if the story and characters are fictitious. Backdraft is a classic and love where the plot takes us with so much emotion behind the characters.

The 4K/HDR/DTS-X update does not disappoint for this nearly 30-year old film. Donald Sutherland's performance is memorably amazing, for being on-screen for barely 10 minutes. And De Niro looks so young. (Some of the fire FX look dated.)

with 7.1 sound and 4K the movie is stunning as you feel like you are riding with the fire crew and in the thick of the fire with this one. I love the story of the two brothers and its a favorite of mine and so much better with the new version

Backdraft has always been one of my favorite movies. The actors, the director, the writing everything about this movie is amazing! It looked good on dvd and looked great on Blu-ray. Backdraft looks absolutely amazing in 4K!

I still remember the first time I saw this movie, when I was a kid. This made me think more about how incredible fire is. Im surprised this concept hadnt really been done before. But, leave it to Ron Howard to kill it!

This is a great movie which includes how two brothers work together to save lives I love this movie my boyfriend and I watched it together years ago now my husband and I bought it on DVD blue ray love it.

This is Kurt Russell at his finest . I know most of you have seen this movie already . Either on Blu-ray or just DVD . You know the story you know the movie . Do yourself a favor and buy this and watch it in 4K .

Finally the movie that really got you going for firefighters and their characters is in 4k to enjoy on your big screen TV pick it up today you won't be disappointed the clarity the picture quality is amazing

Happy to see the 4K release. A film I’ve always loved. Having it updated with improved audio and video was long awaited. The video transfer is decent. On my home theater system, the audio is overwhelming.
