I bought this game out of curiosity because of a lot of hype around it. I'll admit I'm have way more fun than expected. I would rate this game as a must-have just for the simplicity of the concept and the surprising way this game scratches your "just one more try" itch. Some may say Baltro is just a card game, but I guess Tetris is just a block dropping game, and if you look at things in such simple terms, you might never see the genius in it.

If you are looking for something new and low threat to spend hours on and have fun playing cards, this game is a must buy! I got it yesterday and haven't stopped playing since, I think I slept last night playing this game in my dreams xD

This roguelike poker game is so much fun. I needed a new type of game and this hit the spot. Every play through is always different and challenging. Never knowing what type of card modifier you might find and unlock. It’s a great game to play while listening to music or a podcast. I highly recommend Balatro

Highly addictive! I’ve been a gamer for years and always tell my mom about all the games I like, she’s never been a big gamer but she’s always supported me and likes to hear about them. I saw this game at The Game Awards and bought it for my mom because she loves card games and I thought it would be fun for her to play and a chance to connect over a video game. She’s logged more hours on this game than I’ve played The Last of Us Series, and I think it’s pretty neat too! Now my mom’s asking for her own PlayStation so she can play even longer!

A poker rogue-like game that's oddly addictive? That's what you'll get with Balatro. The game was never on my radar due to having no interest based off what I initially saw of the game. It wasn't until it recently went on sale and the glowing reviews I read that made me want to purchase it. Best purchase I could've made to be honest. Spent about 20+ hours in the game and still have a lot more to unlock. If you know the basics of poker, you'll fit right in and will be able to handle the game. The game is entertaining in many levels. It's seems simple in the beginning but you find out it's not. Great game to kick back and chill.

I don't have much to add here, as a ton of gaming outlets have given Balatro the praise it deserves, but I am willing to throw my opinion out there and say the game is a lot of fun and worth playing. The physical cards don't do anything other than being a decoration for your desk, but they're a nice little bonus.

You dont understand until you play it. I was wondering how this little indie game made so much noise and got nominated for game of the year. Now i have over 100 hours in it. Please either buy it physical or digital. Well worth it.
