I drive a '99 Volkswagen Beetle 70 miles everyday round trip and if anyone has ever rode in a Beetle you know they were not the best insulated against road noise, especially at highway speeds. I used about a pack and a half doing both my front doors. I used a lot because there is a lot of long flat areas of sheet metal and aluminum on the outershell and inner panel where the window regulator mounts that I covered.
I am very impressed with the reduction in road noise by just installing it on the doors so far. At higher speeds or on bumpy roads I no longer hear little rattles or buffeting from the doors flexing in the wind, the car feels much more solid, and my 6.5 JL Audio C5s sound much more robust. I am excited to get more of this to do my entire floor with soon. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to reduce road noise and make your economical commuter car feel more like a luxury sedan. It installs easy, and I really like that the aluminum part of the deadener is a matte black finish instead of the usual bare aluminum finish. The matte black helps blend it into a nice factory look. Yeah I know its hidden under the door panels or under carpet but anytime you might have to take it to a garage for work I feel it give it a more professional look.
I would recommend this to a friend
