I did extensive comparison shopping at the store. I needed a case to 1. Protect my iPhone 5S if dropped 2. Be attractive 3. Be reasonably priced 4. Be fairly easy to remove the phone from the case. This case meets all 4 standards. I haven't tried dropping my phone to be sure it's protected, but the bumper-corners appear to be sturdy enough to cushion the blow. I like the brushed black aluminum look. The price was less or comparable to other cases that met my criteria. I'm a cyclist and need to be able to remove the phone from the case so the phone can be placed in my on-bike holder - it's pretty easy to remove this case. Overall, very pleased.

It's a little on the heavy side, but that assures me it's made of quality materials ~ Ballistic! A little more stylish than an otter box with the same amount of protection (if not more).

Actually writing this from my iPhone with this case on it. Very comfortable, slides easily in and out of my pocket. Protects phone without interfering with using it. Some cases I've tried got in the way of using the screen, this one hasn't. If you have a screen protector that isn't one of the glass ones, it may peel up the sides of it, so be aware of that. I had an older one on mine- I removed it so it didn't bother me. Switched to a glass one.

Usually we buy otter boxes for our I-phones but my husband wanted black and the store was out so I picked this one up and was pleasantly surprised by how secure the phone is. It looks good, isn't bulky or slick, and fits the phone perfectly. He isn't gentle with his phone and this case has kept it safe. Would buy this again.

I like the sleek look with the silver trim. Looks nicer then my old otter box.

This "Tough Case" is lives up to its name. This is a two part case with flexible rubber inner case and a hard shell outer case that fits over the inner case. I have a tendency to put my phones through a lot of abuse and this case so far has handled every drop to drop kick (I have a habit of sticking my foot out, reflex, to 'catch' my phone when i drop it and on a regular basis wind up kicking my phone a good 10 yards, usually in a parking lot or on a concrete driveway) and while the back of the hard case has gotten a few scratches the phone has received no damage. The case also looks good and does not interfere with the basic operation of the iPhone.

Saw this one in store and liked the look and feel. Design feels solid. Had two cases before this one with hard plastic around silicone. The plastic corners never took long to break off. This one has thick rubber corners with a metal shell. It really feels sturdy, like it will hold up well. My only complaint is that the back of the case is slippery. It slides off of inclined surfaces. I guess that's to make it easier to put in pockets, but I wish the rubber extended just a millimeter beyond the back surface, for grip.

Bought this case for my wife and she loves it. It provides protection but isn't heavy at all

Looks nice feels nice, seems to hold up well, the runner does not stay right to phone as with many cases with this type runner.

I love the protection I get and the rubber edges are for possible falls but I like how it stabilizes the phone on a counter or table. It is difficult to put in your pocket though, that is why I gave it 4 stars.

This Ballistic - Tungsten Tough Case for Apple® has been one of the best cases I have had. i love the black steel look on the back. It has real metal and thick protective rubber. I love the two piece shells, I always feel like my phone is protected. Great phone case. Dropped several times and no damage to my phone or the case!

Love the phone case. Not too bulky yet it protects my phone.

Case looks good and protects without looking as bulky as the outer box. I accidentally dropped my phone today from around 3-4ft with no issues. It's not waterproof but talking in a pool is not my thing.

It's been a good purchase. Protects phone well and covers the zagg glass shield well. It's not high end but it's a solid item. 4 stars

This case is easily removed and coupled with a tinted screen protector is a perfect replacement for the life proof case. It's just not waterproof.

A good case not the best and not the worst performs well for what it is and isn't. You can trust it for sure

I purchased this iPhone case as a replacement for my previous Ballistic case which I had worn out over 5+ years and that had kept my iPhone 5 looking like new. I looked for Ballistic exclusively based on my experience with the original case. The only shortcoming I can see with this case is the lack of a protective screen cover, which I really liked on my first Ballistic case.

This case was a very good way to protect my iPhone from me. I have dropped my phone many times and the case has kept the screen from shattering or any component of the phone from breaking.

This case is stylish, sleek, and tough. I definitely will be getting the iPhone 6S version of this case when the phone and the case are both out.
