A beautiful classic with updated visuals in high definition

This is a nice addition to anyones Walt Disney collection. Colors weren't as bright and vivid as you might expect, but then, maybe that's how the movie was originally made. Overall, image quality was okay, but not spectacular. Not up to the standards of some other Disney classic transfers. But like I said earlier, maybe this was still a faithful re-mastering of how it originally looked.

Best Buy offered "Bambi" for $19.99 which included the DVD and Blu-ray versions with extras, as well as a digital copy of the movie. This was the same price as what was offered by iTunes which was a digital copy only. Great deal, great movie! Part of the classic feature-length movie collection from 1937 through 1967 that made Walt Disney the source for true family entertainment.

I remember showing this to my children and students when it first came out - be prepared for the little tears when they realize Bambi's mother is shot and he's all alone with his father now. Still, one of the best Disney movies in my opinion for it dealt with the realities of forest fires and hunters that all animals contend with. Now, my grandchildren are enjoying this movie.

The film one of the best animation ones. Very moving. Great for children. There is one of the touching story with death. Children very young might need an adult to explain the subject. The animals in the film are so cute. After a while you get so involve in the story you forget it is animated. One of the best family films not to missed.

My 4 year old granddaughter saw this movie and adored it. At first she didn't want to watch it and I was afraid of her reaction to Bambi's mother dying, but she did okay with that. She did say that it made her sad for Bambi. But she loved all the little creatures and especially Thumper and Flower. I, myself, had forgotten what a sweet little story it is.

The Disney Signature Series continues with another strong entry in "Bambi". The classic movie is just as remembered here, looking & sounding at its best on BluRay. As usual for this series, there are a handful of bonus features that give a little new viewing. If you already have this, think of it like an upgrade; if you don't, it's a great way to get it.

At this point, I'm sure most people are buying these Signature Edition Blu-Rays for the digital copies, as their Diamond Edition versions released a few years ago did not come with the Digital HD option. All of the releases in this line so far have been underwhelming in terms of on-disc bonus features. This re-release for Bambi is different, as it includes a lot of the bonus features from the previous Diamond Edition and even 2005's Platinum Edition. The film transfer is great, and it's the same as the one used on the 2011 Diamond Edition Blu-Ray, so if you already own that and are content with not having a Digital Copy of the film, there really is no need to upgrade to this Signature Edition.

It’s presented in standard format not letter box. It looks like a good transfer but could have been better colors. The kids picked up it seemed old but still enjoyed. The shipping cost was way too high.

This is some of Walt Disney's finest work! The animation is beautiful and the Blu-ray edition is so clean with amazing color! The story is full of fun and sadness and some of the best remembered scenes of any Disney film. (I also think that the touching death scene strengthened my will to be a vegetarian at 8 years old)

Haven't seen Bambi since I was little. Bought this Blu Ray at the same time I bought the new Beauty and the Beast on Blu Ray. Bambi is everything I remember and it looks great on Blu Ray. My fiancé and I are Disney Fanatics. This is another to add to our collection! Get it and spread the love of this timeless classic.

Picked up the Best Buy exclusive for the lenticular slip sleeve. I already owned the Diamond Edition on Blu ray, and this is a great supplemental buy with the Signature Edition. Unfortunately not all the extras have been ported from the previous Diamond Edition, if you missed out on that edition.

I rewatched Bambi in an effort to revisit all the old Disney classics and it is a profound film. It is filled with sadness and grief, but also shows there is hope at the end of the tunnel. It has important life lessons for children, even though it may not immediately present itself when they are young.

Classic Disney animation, pure and simple. Sure, it may be a hard sell for kids today, but urge them to give it a try. The HD transfer really shows off the beautiful color palette in this one. I honestly haven't even gotten into the bonus features yet, but I'm just happy to have the movie on Blu-ray.

A tender tale with characters that children of all ages seem to love. This shows family and friends getting to learn from each other. It shows acceptance of those different from us. It tells of danger, bravery, and sacrifice.

Who doesnt love Bambi, but not only is it a classic Disney movie but all the extras that come with Blue ray are awesome. To see deleted scenes and all the extras are so cool. The digital copy is the best just because the movie is always with you, so you can stream anytime for the kiddo's

On their 75th anniversary, our favorite forest friends in Disney's classic animated feature film, Bambi, are commemorated as the next to enter the new Disney Signature Collection series. Same wonderful tale with a whole bunch of history and behind the scenes extras for the true fan!

Bamboo is timeless and my son is obsessed with thumper. Per usual, best buy randomly has awesome deals and I just couldn't pass this up. Classic disney, endearing story about a sweet deer as he navigates the challenges and pressures of growing up in this cruel world.

I splurged on this signature edition (already have the Diamond edition which has a few more bonus features) solely for the lenticular slip cover, I'm just a sucker for them and collect them all. Beyond that this is a Disney classic that should be owned by any Disney collector

Great little Disney movie, One of my most favorite when I was little. Played it for my granddaughter which is two years old and she was just glued to the movie as we watched it together it really took me back in time when I was that little girl great Disney movie!
