I’ve used several Bambu Lab printers, and the X2D feels like a very capable, polished machine. Setup was straightforward, the print quality has been excellent, and the speed is impressive without feeling like I’m sacrificing reliability. The enclosed design is a big plus for materials that benefit from a more controlled environment, and the overall build quality feels like the other Bambus. The AMS and dedicated nozzle for support materials is a plus too. Price is great. The only con that i can find is that if you are used to bigger build plates, this will feel smaller.

We have had the X2D for 3 solid weeks and other than a few hours here and there when someone isn't home to clean the plate, this machine hasn't stopped printing. There are learning curves but I work in tech so other than a few self inflicted problems, my experience has been flawless. I'm just now coming up to some of the maintenance processes and while not the best, as long as you have space around the machine and a spot to temporarily put your AMS, it is much easoer than I expected. Again, I work in tech on prototype hardware and software daily so your mileage and feelings on ease of use/maintenance may vary. It is pretty much plug and play for PLA after initial setup but I would still categorize this as an entry level enthusiast machine and should point out it is NOT intended to be an efficient multicolor printer. This device shines for the price point and support for more advanced filaments which require a fully enclosed heated chamber, not necessarily the ability to make intricate multi-color models without swimming in filament poop. The pictures show some of the features where the trash can was printed in 7 hours but in contrast, the Eagles Pen Holder took almost 10 hours on the X2D with almost 7 hours of changing filament every 2 minutes.

When I first looked into buying this printer I was unsure, as many people seemed to be complaining about it, coming from the refined P1S to a newer model I was worried if this would give me the issues people were talking about, but in all honesty this printer is fantastic. If you understand how 3D printers work and you understand that you have to make repairs just like anything else, this printer will serve you well. If you want something you barely have to touch outside of just proper care, this will be fantastic for you. If you want something you don't have to make repairs at all on, 3D printers probably aren't for you. Everything will break, some more than others but the X2D has about 400 hours on it so far, and I have to say its nothing short of amazing. Its well work the money.

This is my first 3D printer, so I don't have years of experience comparing it to different brands and models, but I can say that my introduction to 3D printing with the Bambu Lab X2D has been incredibly positive. One of the things that initially intimidated me about getting into 3D printing was the learning curve. I had heard plenty of stories about constantly adjusting printers, troubleshooting failed prints, leveling beds, and spending more time fixing the printer than actually printing. So far, that has not been my experience with the X2D. The setup and overall user experience have been surprisingly straightforward. The Bambu ecosystem makes it easy for someone new to the hobby to get started without feeling overwhelmed. I was able to focus on finding and creating things to print rather than immediately having to become an expert in 3D printer maintenance and troubleshooting. The print quality has been impressive, and the ability to use the AMS for multiple colors adds another level of creativity that I'm excited to explore. I also appreciate that this doesn't feel like a printer that I will quickly outgrow. While it has been approachable enough for a complete beginner like myself, it also has plenty of advanced features and capabilities that I can grow into as I become more experienced. It's definitely a significant investment for a first 3D printer, but I personally decided that I would rather buy something capable from the beginning than purchase a cheaper entry-level printer and immediately start wanting upgrades. So far, I couldn't be happier with my decision. The X2D has made getting into 3D printing much less intimidating than I expected and has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of technology to experiment with. If you're considering getting into 3D printing and want a capable machine that is approachable for beginners while still offering plenty of room to grow, I think this is an excellent place to start.

Ordered this on launch day and got it a few days later. It works amazing. The only issues I’ve had were caused by myself l (needing to clean build plate). Easy to learn how to use.

Nice Edition to my Bambu Lab P1S. The X2D is well crafted. So far no issues printing. Plug and play machine. I can’t wait to push this printer to the limit with the dual nozzle!

This printer is absolutely incredible. One of the best printers I’ve ever had easy to use easy to fix if there’s ever an issue highly recommend.

I bought my first 3D printer in 2020 as an activity for my boys and I to learn during the pandemic. There was a learning curve, but they had fun making little toys, fights, and display items. I used it to make gifts and several functional items around our home. We bought a second 3D Pinter, a resin printer, about two years later so we could do highly detailed miniatures. That was fun too, but required a lot more work and a lot more care. It got used a lot at first, but quickly went out of favor. This year, we finally decided to upgrade our FDM printer, and are so happy we did. The experience of the Bambu Lab X2D as compared to my old Reality printer is night and day. The speed, ease of use, print quality, etc are all markedly improved from what I was used to. Th ability to print with up to 5 different filaments at a time using the include AMS 2 Pro unit and the external feed is amazing! There is a lot of waste doing multicolor prints, but we have kept that pretty limited so far. The waste is not too bad a tradeoff for an ability our old printer could never even dream of. I was between this and the Snapmaker U1. While I still love the Snapmaker's multicolor abilities with the 4 toolheads this printer was the right choice for my family and me. The ease of use is just phenomenal. I highly recommend it.

I’m fairly new to 3D printing, and the X2D Combo has made getting into the hobby much easier than I expected. I’ve already printed everything from articulated models and decorative pieces to functional parts and my own custom designs. The print quality has been excellent, and being able to do multicolor prints and work with the dual-nozzle system opens up a ridiculous number of possibilities. What I appreciate most is that I can find something in Bambu Handy and get it printing without needing to become an expert first, but there’s also plenty to learn and experiment with as I get more comfortable. Bambu Studio gives me a lot more control when I want it. It isn’t completely foolproof. I’ve had failed prints, learned about supports the hard way, and discovered that designing your own parts can involve a lot of trial and error. But the printer itself has been remarkably easy to use, fast, and reliable. The biggest problem is that I bought a 3D printer thinking it would be another tool. Instead, I now have a growing pile of filament and spend way too much time thinking, “I wonder if I can print that?” Very happy with the X2D Combo and would absolutely buy it again.

Bought this to really get into 3d printing, and it has been so easy to use. Beautiful machine, easy to use, the temperature control is a huge help, and I've got no complaints.

I 100% have had no snags or problems with this product. It has performed absolutely everytime I’ve needed it. I highly recommend when purchasing it, to buy filament as the product does not come with it. I also recommend to purchase the combo sets that comes with AMS 2 pro. I decided to purchase the AMS 2 pro ac adapter to dry the filament, using the AMS 2 pro’s drying function while printing. Due to the how the printers voltage works while printing. The printer will not allow you to use the dryer function of the ams 2 pro while printing if not using ac adapter on AMS 2 pro. However you can dry your filament while there is NOT a print running simultaneously, with the ac adapter you can! I’ve provided photos showing the ac adapter and what it looks like. I love this product and Bambu Labs did an amazing job with this product! 5 stars out of 5. Best Buy also did great delivering the product in a timely manner! Thank you. I will be back to purchase more products from you Best Buy.

The printer is great as expected. My AMS is bad, the first and last slot have a hard time pulling in filament.

Honestly, 3D printing has been a game changer for me. It makes life so much easier because I can print many things instead of buying them. I have printed small replacement parts, screws, hooks, cable organizers, drain covers, storage accessories, and decorative items for the house. The best part is that I can customize everything. If I cannot find the right size or design in a store, I can make one myself. It is especially useful for small parts that are expensive, difficult to find, or only sold as part of a larger product. It does take some time to learn, and not every print comes out perfectly the first time. But once you understand the basics, it feels amazing to turn an idea into something real. It is practical, creative, and surprisingly useful for everyday life.

Glad I pulled the trigger on this, was hesitant at first but I think people may have just got a bad batch or something. Watched and read countless threads/videos and joined the fb group for the X2d and learned a lot. Kids are getting a hang of it too and coming from laser engraving this was easy to get going but any user honestly can if they set a tad bit of time here and there and learn about settings. AI can help but honestly, so many helpful youtube channels for any printer these days and any slicer. I am using this in a 10x15 office space and yes it can be a slight loud, but honestly I am playing background music while working so it gets drowned out a bit, kids love watching it and as soon as they get off the bus they want to see whats printed next. I do suggest a sturdy table, shakes are normal as I learned and feet can only help so much. People suggested a large thick silicone mat for absorbtion. If you are sensitive to machine noise, I'd consider putting it in a isolated space or room.

The print quality has been great, and I have not had any issues with any files or filaments so far. However, quality of the printer itself is a little suspect. Not long after opening it, I noticed that the rubber strip on the inner side of the door began peeling around the edges. Each time I try to press the edges back down, they will stay that way for a little while, but will eventually peel again. Also, when the bed moves up and down on the z-axis, I hear a faint but noticeable crackling noise and am unable to determine where it is coming from exactly. Next, sometimes after I remove spools from the AMS 2 pro, the printer will continue to display a message saying that filament is currently being inserted/removed. This disables some of the actions of the printer such as switching nozzles, and the only way to fix this is to completely power down the printer and turn it back on. The Bambu AI wasn't very helpful in figuring out why this keeps happening, but hopefully it's firmware, and not hardware-related. One last thing, and this is probably more of a nit-picky thing, is that the plastic surfaces of the AMS 2 pro are very prone to scratches even in the slightest circumstances, unlike the first AMS. If this printer wasn't sold out everywhere, I would have considered returning it for a new one and would still recommend it since it functions properly when it prints and it is unlikely I would encounter most of these problems on another one.

I wanted an H2D for under $1,000. What I got was not quite an H2D for under a grand. The dual extruders are a great idea but were clearly in the earliest stages of development for them. There’s bound to be some speed bumps and learning curve, and there definitely is. If you like to be an early adopter and try out new technologies this is a great way to get into it. If you want NOTHING but the reliability and ease Bambu has a reputation for, this maybe isn’t your choice.

Coming from the P1S with AMS 2 Combo and the P2S with AMS 2 Combo, the X2D AMS Combo has been a nightmare experience. The biggest one has been the AMS 2 Pro which absolutely has an issue feeding filament in multiple slots. Straight out of the box my AMS 2 Pro had issues feeding in slots 1 and 3. You can manually feed the filament by pressing on the hub but it will fail again whenever a filament change happens. This makes this AMS 2 Pro basically unusable. I immediately reached out to Bambu Lab support and the process was incredibly slow. They will get back to you ONCE per 24 hour period and their solution is basically to send you parts to replace yourself. If you search around for reviews and community forums, you will find PLENTY of other people with AMS 2 Pro issues. This is most likely a bad batch and Bambu Lab refused to replacemy AMS 2 Pro but instead can only send me the part so I can disassemble a NEW AMS. I mentioned that I was uncomfortable doing this but Bambu Lab does not care. This does not sit right with me. DIY warranty repairs should be an OPTION but having that as the only option is pitiful service. My second issue is with the X2D itself. When it works, it honestly is fantastic but I kept running into issues with particularly matte PLA filament. This is full on Bambu Lab Matte PLA that I've printed dozens of spools on on my P2S but for whatever reason, it cannot feed into the left (main) nozzle. Given my experience with the AMS 2 Pro, I'm not going to bother with support as I'm nearing my return date. I may purchase this again in the future once they work out the issues but right now, it is a hard pass. To comment on the actual print quality though, it's actually great. I primarily wanted this for support material and it handles it incredibly fast with way less filament waste.

The printer is ready to go in literally 10min once is out of the package. It does an excellent job in using the auxiliary nozzle to save filaments when changing colors. The printing quality is no different from anybof P1 series I owned, I am really impressed in how easy now is to print in ABS or ASA, no warping at all on long prints.

Honestly this was a no brainer purchase, Best Buy had the better warranty and it was delivered super fast. The printer itself is dead simple to use thanks to the Bambu ecosystem and community. I’ve already made a sink caddy that fit out odd shaped sink.

Was thinking of getting a P2S but am glad I didn't. The second nozzle and heated chamber are worth the extra $$$. This is our second printer, we also have an H2C. This one compliments it well and gets jobs done when the larger unit is busy. Don't worry about the second nozzle being a boden fed extruder. It works well. Yes it's a bit slower but way better than not having it at all. The quality is fine and don't really notice the speed difference. Two colors print fine with minimal waste. My only grip is I wish it had the status bar on the print bed like the H2C, I have got used to checking on it from the door. Very minor though. You won't be disappointed.
