I still have my original Tamagotchies from when I was a kid, so I was very excited to see these in store. I immediately had to get one. It is a much simpler interface which is both a pro and a con. The only interaction with your virtual pet is to feed it, clean up when it poops, and turn off the light when it goes to sleep. This is great as the simple interface is much easier to understand. However, it also means that one can quickly get bored with the virtual pet.

It's fun and definitely nostalgic, and frankly a nice changeup from always playing games on a smartphone that require focus and strategy. With that said, the physical size is too small. I'd prefer the classic original. And being spoiled by apps that offer many hours of gameplay, you will soon be reminded just how limited these were. But they certainly deliver on nostalgia and would make a cute gift for a kid. Also worth noting is that my Tamagotchi battery was nearly dead in the new package, but I happen to have these particular batteries in multipacks for various electronics (remotes, trackers, etc.), so this didn't bother me.

While I love Tamagotchi, I am just giving this only 3 stars mainly because of the function buttons and the battery. after having this for almost a week, my poor pet died 3 times. The main purpose of this to me now is simply a keychain. This makes a cute addition to all the stuff hanging on my switch bag.

Cute toy, much smaller than the original. Works well and is easy to use.

Purchased one for fun for nostalgic purpose. Battery died or had some kind of error and ruined the device. Had to bring it back and they swapped it for a new one.. So far so good a couple weeks in!

20 years celebrations was expected to see the old school Tamagotchi but this was far from that. It use to be you had more to do with it. All you can do is clean up poop and feed it. And turn the lights out. If you had old school version as a kid you know that it required more then just pressing one button and it was over. Don't get me wrong my 5 year old loves it and its easy for her but for someone like me or my wife going back to this would be tough.

I remember having the original ones back in the 90's. Such a cool Toy. I bought it for my girlfriend as it brung back good memories for her growing up. She enjoys playing with it as if it was a Puppy. I told her if she is responsible to not let her Tamagotchi die, then i will get her a puppy. hahaha

It works well and my daughter enjoyed playing with it but the instructions were poor and we didn’t know how to reset it once the Tamagotchi died. So, she stopped playing for weeks and I’m not sure how or when but it eventually reset.

This thing is just the way I Remembered it being back in the 90s. I wanted my son and daughter to have something that I had in my childhood and it also gave them something to care for. They loved it, although the batteries dies within a week and a half.

If you enjoy taking care of things and perfectionism then this is great for you. Also brings back memories :)

Blast from the past. Hopefully they will love it as much as the first time.

Bought when Xmas present broke. This one works great and is cute when hatches. Needs a lot of taking care of at first. As with all Tamagotchi.

Nostalgia at its finest. These little gadgets still hold up today and even give a fresh take to the new young people of today.

This is a virtual pet toy much like the ones from the 90's. It is very low tech but is perfect for younger kids. They love taking care of the pet.

This reminds me of the pet game I had as a child. Me n my daughter will enjoy playing with this
