If you preordered Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown, you will receive a code for Ace Combat 5 The Unsung War. Widely considered to be a great entry into the franchise it built on the foundations left by Ace Combat 4 Shattered Skies, improving upon already set mechanics and adding new ones specifically "squad commands". As the devs have said, this is NOT a remaster; it's a direct PS2 port that's been upscaled to HD resolution blurry textures and all. You won't find any great detail here. At this time I haven't noticed anything off, the controls and mechanics are fine, the music is great too. It's great addition for old fans and newcomers that can look past outdated textures, models, etc.

One of the strongest points about this game is the story, and no more still frames from AC4 (Although they were nice). The story is about 2 countries Yuktabania, and Ocesa that got themseleves in to a war. You take the role of a hot-shot pilot who witnesses the war from the first unofficaly and covered up attacks of the war to the last battle, in the eyes of an Ocesan and a fight pilot on the front lines. I won't get too much in to the story as that unfolds during the game, but iassure you it is very good.

I received the game with no issues on release day through email with a provided code for Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War and the preorder bonuses. It's one code that includes everything in the preorder. Some people had issues not receiving the code in the email, but they were resolved in the following days of the release by posting on the Best Buy forums and contacting the moderators.

My favorite Ace Combat game of all time still even with seven out. Although this isn't a remastered version, the HUD and resolution is up to modern standards of 1080p. The PS2 era graphics are still rough compared to AC7, but the more focused narrative is better. Definitely a game you want to go through first before AC7.

Ace Combat 5 was a great game back when it was on PS2. While the graphics have not stood the test of time, the game play sure has. I was so excited to see them add this as a pre-order bonus. The play through this time around is just as great as it was the first.

I would already love Ace Combat 7 on its own for the excellent campaign mode and the ridiculously good VR missions. But they threw in a digital download of Ace Combat 5 as a pre-order bonus? Only one of my favorite video games of all time. Just take my money.

Ace Combat 5 is one of the best games from the PS2 era and now its available on PS4 for those who missed it back in the day. It is not a remaster but a full port to the PS4 and plays just as great as it did on PS2

This is very fun, I remember playing this over and over. Love having it back for the ps4, and they stretched it out so it fits the screen, instead of the square box look of 4:3 aspect. Tons of fun.

I'm really glad to have been able to get a pretty solid remaster of this great game for free! Not sure if this is emulation or a port, but either way it runs very well and is a blast to play.

This is not a ps2 emulation. This is a HD remaster. The texture look great on the ps4. The graphics dont look at great as AC7 but still the gameplay is fun and the game is in widescreen.

This pre-order bonus was available everywhere and Best Buy made the process just as simple as the rest. You pre-ordered, then received a code later to download your add-on. That's it!

Very exciting additional skins for your aircraft, and another starting aircraft, the F-4. Most importantly, includes an HD rerelease of Ace Combat 5, which looks absolutely gorgeous.

This was a welcome surprise. It's been years and it threw me back into Mobius one. It's a little polygonal on the new hardware but a great addition when you don't expect it.

Game developers did a great job creating the realism of the game, coming from an airline pilot on the Airbus. VR for PS4 is worth it as well for this game.

Cool. It's a free game that came with the other game I was buying. It's rather dated entry in the series and hard to play, but I can't complain for free.

I've been looking forward to a new Ace Combat game for a long time, but to also have one of my favorites included (Ace Combat 5) was great surprise.

Hey was a freebie with purchase of the game can't complain it is a bit outdated since it's a PlayStation 2 game but still a classic non the less

Great game, but then again I love the series. Really cool with PSVR. Wish there were more VR levels.
