What an excellent series!! great characters and storyline wish it hadn't ended so abruptly

HBO gets the credit for being a channel that pushes the edge when it comes to original content programming. Their step child channel Cinemax is rapidly catching up with own content, and this program is definitely one of their best to date. While I wouldn't recommend this as a family show, it is definitely great fun for an adult audience. The only thing bad to say is that I was mad when the last episode was over!

I was looking for a new series to purchase and watch. I had never heard of the show Banshee, so I took a chance and man was I surprised and impressed. This show is one bloody fight scene after another, but with an intriguing story line that keeps you on the edge. I went through the first season in no time and now looking for season two..

The pilot episode of Banshee is better than most shows complete seasons. You will not be disappointed and quickly sucked into the world of Banshee. This is one of those shows that you may have to go back and watch twice to get all of the subtle hints that turn into plots and twists in other episodes and seasons. Banshee.

I didn't expect to like this series, but it's held my interest much more than I expected it to. Some of the violence can be a bit "over the top" in terms of its "shock value," but otherwise, I think the show has a great blend of elements that make a series a good one! And it doesn't hurt that the main character isn't bad-looking :)

Entertaining action series. Lots of interesting characters that look like they will have a lot of depth as the series continues. Really liked the story line that progressed throughout the season. Considering getting Cinemax just so I can see season 2.

Largely unknown show, reminds me a bit of Deadwood Season 1 when it came out. With the buzz and online chatter people are starting to pickup on this show. Very much looking forward to Season 2, Banshee got stronger as the Season progressed. Overall better writing and story linet than in Homeland Season 2. Better acting than Homeland Season 3. Banshee has several variables and the plot lines can go anywhere, looking forward to the ride.

Lots of times when I'm late to something, the hype is bigger than the actual product. Banshee is the opposite. It lives up to the hype. It's the right kind of bad. I'm not saying it's Casablanca, but it's exactly what it's supposed to be, Dark and Fun. Who knew the Amish were so evil. Enjoy.

This1st season of the show was unlike anything I've seen before. The fight scenes in particular were so raw and looked so real. Good story and great acting from cast. Just a fan of the series especially one where there are really no good guys.

that sums it up for me. I really cant say one bad word about this series, the premise was new and fresh, it didnt shy away from vilonce, language, or nudity but it was not gratuitus to me, it was needed to make the story real. I watch this over and over it is so good!

Banshee is drastically different from other series on TV. You never know what to expect. You'll get sucked in right from the start to the finish. Watch it and you'll understand what I'm talking about. I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I'll just leave it at that.

This is a good cable series. lots of violence and naked women. The story line (an ex-convict takes over the identity of the just killed new sheriff) is a little stretched, but it's a show, so who cares. If you like Strike Back, you will like this show too.

I watched the series on Cinemax but wanted to be able to watch it again when ever I have the time. Now I'm waiting for the second season DVD to come out. These will satisfy me until the 3rd season comes out next January

I took a chance on this in hopes it would help make up for no more seasons of "Strike Back." Now I plan to get the subsequent seasons on Blu-ray. Good plotting, lots of action, and feature film quality visuals make this a must own for fans of down and dirty drama.

For anyone who loves brutal action with a good story, then this show is for you! This show has great fight scenes and some good humour. You will not be disappointed.

Very underrated show!! Not many people know about this series but it has it all!! So if you like fast paced, wild and crazy show with twists and turns this is the show for you!!

I didn't really know what to expect with this show, but it got its hooks in me fast. It has some great characters and some good action. Check it out!
