The first season blew me away with intensity from the very first second. Very few shows have been able to keep my attention with such teeth-grinding tension that from the first second until way beyond the season finale I find myself wanting more, salivating until my next fix. The moment our "hero" puts on the badge and becomes the new sheriff is the very instant so many worlds collapse unto one another that death becomes the only inevitable as everyone strives to draw one more breath standing strong within their own beliefs in this small little town of cons, criminals, and the few who actually want to do what is right within the confines of the law. There is plenty of nudity (for the Games of Thrones and HBO/Cinemax crowd that enjoys that sort of thing), but the violence (even if it's a single shot or punch in the face), drama, and very instability of the newly disrupted criminal way of life sparks like a big bang into an epic anti-hero saga where one small theft in but a reflection of light on shining armor in comparison to the dark shadows that lurk behind the scenes of the community. One of the top shows to score a place next to Hannibal, Game of Thrones, The Shield, and Sons of Anarchy. Never has cheering for some of a the bad guys been such an adventure leaving me with a thirst for more.

Love this show action packed hate it ended. Keeps in suspense makes u root for bad guys.

Cinemax does it again very good show I have every season

The fact that your reading this review means that you require more than what you are getting from the watered down network shows. Banshee is never disappointing, every episode is WTH episode that leaves you wanting more. I would recommend watching the first season, however, if you don't its still a thrill ride. Once you see the level of deviancy that goes on with Lucas Hood, Proctor and the rest of the characters you will be drawn into the world of Banshee with no way out! Maybe Jobe or Suga could help you, then again maybe not. Buckle Up.

Once you accepted the premise of a "bad-guy-who-is not-that-bad" assuming the identity of lawman in the 1st season--and let's face it, other series make you assume a lot more--you were in for a ride. The 2nd season picks up where it left and the thrill continues. Good characters/acting/plot lines/action (and price I paid) made this a great buy. If you didn't see the 1st season, you can anyway enjoy this one.

Cinemax produced another hit. I am a big fan of Strike Back and when I heard the premise of this series I thought I would check it out. what's not to like with a show about a criminal becoming the sheriff. While it was not as good as season one mining because Rabbit from season 1 was a good bad guy this is still a good series. I can't wait till season 3 starts. keep on pumping out hits cinemax!

Banshee was a sleeper hit. You did not know what to think going into it, but after the first season, you could not put it down. It actually got better (and freakier) as the show went on. I always wait for a good price before completing my collection and with this on sale, I am one season away from having all four seasons!

if your looking for a great show to watch this is it from beginning to end this show keeps you on your feet from violence to drugs to s-x corruption just a great show and very graphic the story is also good just one thing don't like its only 5 seasons but give it a try it won't disappoint you

I have been waiting on the price of this to drop for awhile now. I could not pass this u when it went on sale for $8.99 with tax it was less then 10 bucks and it came with the slip cover. Banshee was a kick butt show that went on for only four seasons before it ended.

Excellent TV Show. Some graphic violence may be inappropriate for some audiences. However, I found the show to be slightly relaxing and overall - an excellently produced show.

This show is one of the best shows on TV. The acting is great the action is hollywood blockbuster worthy and you never know what is going to happen next. If you are a fan of action films and shows you will greatly enjoy this show. Great season.

Fantastic show with shunned Amish. Stolen Identities, vigilante justice, corrupt Native Americans, corruption in general and a lot of the in and out, America at it's finest. Can't wait until season 2 is out for purchase.

Good story lines and good acting make this a show worth watching. Not very realistic but who wants reality anyway when watching an entertaining show. Lots of abult situations make this unsuitable for the faint of heart.

Never know what will happen next in this series! Story line is awesome&different from anything else out there! Keeps you coming back for more! Can't turn it off for wanting to see what happens next!

I LOVE the Banshee series & plan to buy S3 when it's released.I highly recommend the show but hate having to wait until January for the new season.

Good solid show. Acting seems good to me. The variety of characters and their personalities makes the show interesting. Like the mixture of violence, love, and character interaction.

A lot of action and suspense just like the first season. If you don't have cinemax and have never seen Banshee, both seasons are a must...also great price for both as well

This show may not get the hype that a boardwalk empire, homeland, or a game of thrones gets but its really a great show. Lots of action and an intriguing story,it's a cant miss.

A Friend recommended this show to me and instantly became a FAN. I CAN'T wait for tonight's episode and I am so Happy they Renewed it For A Fourth Season. BANSHEE FAN 4 LIFE.
