It gets better with every viewing I seem to miss something extra love the commentary, the extra and deleted scenes great cast so sad its only four seasons.

the first time I watched Banshee I knew I want every series of it love it

He was just looking for his share of the diamonds they stole, after 15 years in jail, but what happens next was unexpected, I really got hooked on Banshee since the first episode of the first season, it is a very fast moving series, actors are great, so is the action. Anthony Starr is perfect in his role as Lucas Hood, he took the place of the real Lucas Hood, the new Sheriff who was supposed to take over in Banshee, Pa was killed, of course there is always consequences for his actions, which make each series compelling to watch...Each season gets better, I could tell the whole story, but do not want to spoil for those who have not seen the show.. The coming fourth season will be the final one..if you're looking for a fast moving action series with a lot of colorful characters and really bad guys, I would really recommend this series....

I started watching this series at the recommendation of a friend who tends to disagree with me entirely on what constitutes a great show. On this one, though, we totally agreed. I'm surprised it's not terribly well-known, because for a "premium channel" series, it's very well done. And the writer had the common sense to go for 4 seasons, then "get out" before the concept gets old, which was quite wise, IMO. At any rate, I almost never purchase movies or "TV on DVD," because I almost never rewatch them, but this series I've purchased every single season & have watched them twice now. It seems like everything is somehow worked into the plotlines (Amish, Indian reservations, White Supremacists, cops, hackers, women, etc.), but somehow, it manages to all work together quite nicely. If you're looking for an edgy but interesting show, this is it!

Banshee has a very interesting premise-an escaped convict, assumes the identity of the new incoming sheriff in a small town in Amish country, when the real sheriff is killed. He keeps the incident hidden, assuming the sheriff's identity, and no one is the wiser for it. His methods as are unorthodox to say the least, and it turns out his ex girlfriend from prison has also started a new life under an assumed name. This makes for some interesting chemistry. To say much more will spoil all the surprises in the series, but the quality of the discs is excellent, the episodes are well written and well paced. Be sure to watch all the way thru the credits on each episode as well, as there are more scenes which add to the story.

This is one show that never fails to deliver on action and drama, or for that matter: features that make it a mature rated show. Season 3 continues with more of the same, but only intensifies the action - If you can believe that this is possible! However, my favorite part of the show is how every actor is an integral part of the story line - thanks to the writers who make it so! It's amazing that this cast gets overlooked for best ensemble cast, Great show that is a steal with low pricing on past season's, so what are you waiting for?

While some may argue that the first two seasons were better, and to some extent they may have a legitimate argument, this by no means you should pass up on season 3. I would say it may be a bit darker in atmosphere and tone (to an already dark show) but I think for story progression wise season 3 was definitely needed. I won't spoil the details, but there are definitely some shocking moments that I myself did not see coming. With that in mind, season 3 is a definite must buy!

Banshee is a fantastic show. Definitely not for kids as content is similar to other premium network shows. Loved this series finding it after the final season ran. The reviews online at IMDB and others are excellent. The cast is fantastic and story line moves along at an incredible pace. Watch through S2 E1 and if you are not hooked its not for you.

If you are reading this, you have seen the previous seasons and know what to expect. This series is somewhat(?) dark with humor to lighten :) it. Acting is solid, action sequences are great, with plot twists and mysteries (will we ever know "who is that guy" being one). This season is perhaps the one with the most action sequences (and perhaps one is the best of the whole series). You can view this seasons as "stand alone" and get a pretty good idea of what is happening. At the low price I got this one, I would have bought it even without having seen the previous seasons.

This may be one of the most violent shows on TV, with LOTS of gratuitous s*x, so yeah, what's not to like? Interesting characters and a story that's a huge stretch to be believable, Suspend your disbelief, grab some popcorn and dive in. It's a fun romp, like watching an X rated comic book come to life. Definitely an adults only show.

This show is rated TV-MA and is meant for adult audience only. This series is the best show on Cinemax. This show has awesome storylines and the writing is terrific. You can't beat a good story arc this show carries. I rate this series 5 out of 5 stars. The acting is great detailing the human dark side of people. I Love it.

There are some great fight scenes this season mixed with the violence of this show makes for great bloody disgusting conflict that is disturbing on a game of thrones level for one particular scene you should know it when you see it. Blu Ray quality on par with previous seasons. A couple of surprises in the seasons final episode I did not see coming which is refreshing for a show that is somewhat predictable and not big on super cliff hanger endings. This season was 4 1/2 stars for me.

Banshee is a great show because they are not afraid to push the limit on anything or with any character. Do yourself a favor and go watch episode 1 from season 1 and you will be hooked. Each season is great and Season 3 took it to a whole new level. Fanshee for life!

This show is awesome i loved the first 2 seasons and had to have the 3rd season. Ive recommended this show to friends who also loved it. Its definitely not a show for kids to watch but if you love shows with a lot of action this is the show to watch

Not your typical drama action series. And that's what I like about it. Totally unpredictable. You never know what's going to happen next. Characters that you can get into & even think about afterwards. I won't describe anything, just watch it.

This series by Cinemax, now in its 4th season, delivers the goods as we follow a crook posing as the Sheriff, and his pack of cronies as well as the local bad guys and the local Indians as they get it on. . This series delivers! For Adults,

To be fair, Banshee isn't for everyone. It's bloody, it's over the top and it makes GOT look like a fairy tale sometimes but if you know what to expect and you like a healthy does of laughter with your fist fights, you gotta love Banshee.

This is one original series and I LOVE IT! it is not for the weak and easily offended but the story, set, and character work is second to none. I was sad to hear that this will be ending but very happy with it and reccomend it to all

I was waiting for the price of this to drop for awhile. I could not pass up $16.99 and it came with the slip cover. Fun show that ran for only four seasons. I did not watch this when it aired because i did not have cinamax.

If you have yet to start Banshee, it is definitely worth making the time for. This will be a show that goes down as a hidden gem. Great story telling, characters, and world. You are attached to the consequences of every action.
