Movies based on a true story, event or person(s) are always a favorite of mine. And because my ex-husband did two tours, was shot two times and was in Vietnam during the worst years of the war 1968 and 1969, movies like Bat 21 help me to understand much more about what our troops experienced while they fought in that war. A war that ended the lives of far too many of our young men. The soldiers that survived the war were treated poorly when they returned home. Shame on us. And shame on our government for prolonging a war they knew early on we would not win.

Great Movie. Hackman and Glover were Great together. Jerry Reed also Plays a Part. Good Family viewing and Based on True Events.

This is based on a true story. If you are a war movie fan this should be in your collection. If you are a war history fan this should be in your collection.

Bat 21 is a good movie with a good cast of characters.

It's a decent war movie without an over abundance of blood. Interesting as it is based on a true incident. We rarely see any stories about Air Force personnel.
