This was really good. It exceeded my expectations and was awesome. Looks great on Blu-ray and I’m glad I picked this up.

Bates Motel is a modern take on Hitchcock's classic thriller, Psycho in a contemporary setting and TV narrative. It follows a different approach to the central mother and son relationship between Norma and Norman Bates while keeping it faithful to the Hitchcock's film. Set in a pacific coastal community in Oregon, Norma and Norman flee from a troubled life and form a new business and home infamously known as the Bates Motel. However, things go awry when their town has a dangerous crime ring and Norman, now accustomed to his school life with new friends and a return of his long-distant brother, Dylan Bates, develops a disturbed state of mind with his close relationship with Norma and across 5 seasons, dark and shocking events unfold in this arc. The show works mainly for the lead performances for Norma and Norman played by Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore who dominate the show. For 5 seasons, you get 10 discs worth of episodes and bonus supplements such as panel discussions with the cast and crew and blooper/gag reels. For digital consumers, they each come with a digital copy code for each season. If you enjoy Psycho and lore behind these characters explored in the sequels or a fan of horror TV, this show remains underrated under the climate of Game of Thrones dominating the landscape of modern TV that it's highly recommended for consumers and fans of Psycho.

When I saw how cheap Best Buy was offering this complete series set for, I had to grab it! If you want to see a very different (sort of) side of the Good Doctor, get ready to be creeped out by this modern take on Psycho's Norman Bates. Also, Vera Farmiga is amazing in her role as Norman's mother. You don't know whether to hate her or love her or both at once.

Amazing good captivating story really draws you in and makes you wanna binge

Got to watch the whole series for the first time in the last year. Wanted to have it for future rainy days. Glad to find it on Blu-ray at reasonable price.

Great series follow the old Story by Alfred Hitchcock great characters suspenseful thrilling and even some comedy

This modern revision of a classic disturbed family is extremely well done and the characters are brilliant.

One of the best shows of the recent times ever. This series is so well written and acted. The characters and story Will keep you fully engaged and wanting to start the next episode as soon as you finish the one you’re watching. My only complaint has nothing to do with the show. I was upset when this was delivered because of the poor packaging that Best Buy used. It caused The outer DVD box to get damaged during the shipment. It should’ve been shipped inside of a box but it was just in a vinyl envelope. That doesn’t protect the product nearly enough.

Freddie Highmore play his part as the physco very well that is alot of drama and action

nice little box set with all the individual seasons in their own bluray case with the digital copies included inside each case. This set does not mention digital but they are definitely included!

I love horror movies. Psycho is at the top of the list. The fact it was turned into a tv show was awesome. Bought at a good price for this collection.
