Very good game for PS3 and I can spend many hours playing it.

Good game, really good graphics, but had some issues trying to complete tasks/quests.

I am sure this was a great game when it was released. The fighting sequences are dated but still a good game.

Excellent portrayal of Batman and his enemies like the Joker

Good game but i lost interst very early. I tend to get lost tring to find out where i am supposed to go. the hand to hand fighting is addicting.

If you've read the reviews then you KNOW what to expect! This game does NOT disappoint. Graphics kick the game off nicely and the story, puzzles, voice acting . . . the whole she-bang is wrapped up SO nicely, you couldn't ask for anything better! Well, just short of suiting-up yourself, throwing on a utility belt and taking on the job yourself . . . the game GETS IT DONE. GET YOU SOME!! Did I mention the 3D?

Story: Joker takes over Arkham , which is like a prison island type area, and Batman, has to sneak, infiltrate, fight, and bring control to the prison, along the way he fights several villains the Joker has released. Great combat, u can sneak in, or just fight your way Batman style, really fun. Then there is the cool gadgets Batman earns thru the game. Theres also challenge rooms, where u can just beat up thugs, or sneaking missions on timers. In the PS3, you have exclusive access to Joker in the game too for the challenge maps, which is a nice change of pace. Great game, must get for those who haven played

Finally a great game based on a comic book. The storyline is great, and you'll meet tons of characters from the Batman comics. The combat while fun and challenging at first can become repetitive due to the constant button mashing. There gadgets that Batman uses are various, and help to keep combat fresh by letting you play around with how you want to take down the enemies. Detective Mode lets you see through walls and highlights enemies, and you can use it all the time, which can make the game a bit too easy. I recommend keeping it off whenever possible to challenge yourself. No multiplayer, but not every game needs it, especially not this one.

After reading reviews and raving recommendations from friends I took the leap and picked up AA:GOTY, and I'm thrilled that I did. The storyline feels like it could have been ripped right from the pages of the comics, a real treat for those familiar with the Dark Knight. The graphics are top notch, with fast paced action you can almost feel Batman thrashing the goons and villains, or the slow and careful sneaking and detective work you need to navigate your way around Arkham Asylum.. The added bonus of this version being in 3D wasn't much of a sell point to me, and since it didn't come with glasses I can't really rate how good/bad that feature was. But to me what really steals the show on this game is the voice acting talent, they really bring all of the characters to life in ways you could only hope for in a big budget movie. I also really enjoyed the addition for the PS3 version of getting to play as the Joker on the challenge maps, definitely a fun change of pace. As an avid gamer, this game goes way above and beyond what I'd hoped for and finally delivers a thrilling Batman experience on consoles. As a parent with young kids who are also gamers, while the atmosphere and some story elements were darker, it wasn't over the top and there is not massive amounts of gore or bad language to worry about. The kids enjoy the game just as much as I did, and the plus for me is that even my wife enjoyed watching me play it. Now I look forward to diving into Arkham City...
