Fun and Vast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Arkham City is fun in the gameplay, story, and challenge. The area is vast and you're not tied on a linear storyline. Its incredible!

Batman has never been more fun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am pretty noob-ish when it comes to comic characters and the plethora of games they are in these days, but I picked this title up on sale for super cheap and thought I'd give it a go. I loved the story and the villains much more than I thought I would and the controls were very intuitive and comfortable. You can unlock special abilities (like combos) as you progress but at the end, I was using almost the same ones as when I started because there are just so darn many! Now I do play a lot of games (about 12 at any given time) so I have a lot of rules, and buttons, and maps etc to learn and remember for each one, so maybe that hinders me on using the full gauntlet of moves in this game, but I still had fun and beat the main storyline. The cool part is, beating it unlocks Game Plus so I can play again...only harder :) There are also LOTS of goodies to find and side missions to complete and I am still working on those so you really get a lot of game in the package. Now I am inspired to play through the one that came before this one: Batman Arkham Asylum.

Favorite Superhero Game...Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't want to get all detailed into specifics which people can just watch a video on, but this game is just kick a**, I didn't think I would like it this much. The graphics in this game are just spectacular for a game which features a pretty big world environment. I would recommend this to any Batman fanatic or anybody who loves action packed games, go pick it up now what are you waiting for!

Awesome Game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Played primarily on the Hard mode and the story is challenging and the bosses are also fun. If you liked the first one you will love this one. Same game play. Only wish they would have a multiplayer. Working through trying to get 100% complete, currently at 59% and trying to find the riddles.

Arkham Asylum on 'roids
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It reminds me of the first Batman: Arkham Asylum. There are way more gadgets but the combos can simply be accomplished by just pressing the 'x' button on xbox or the square button on the PS3. It does make playing more simple but I thought they would make the gameplay more sophisticated. Playing as different characters is also a major thumbs up!

Most anticipated game I have ever wanted.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In all honesty, Batman: Arkham City was the most anticipated game I have ever wanted. The prequel, Batman:Arkham Asylum, had a great storyline with some of the most known characters in Batman. Batman: Arkham City had an even bigger storyline with a tremendous amount of new characters introduced to 3D-graphic video games for the first time. The freeflow combat is unlike any video game I have ever played and it is actually the thing that got me hooked on the Arkham games. I recommend this to even the people that know so little about the Dark Knight.

One of the better games of 2011
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoyed this game. I didn't play the prequel(s), but this game had me hooked from the instant I turned it on with a compelling storyline. The mechanics felt well thought out, and worked really well. It felt like something of a mix of Splinter Cell and Ratchet and Clank (both games I enjoyed very much). There was never a dull moment that I can remember. Some of the fights felt a little repetitive at times, but for the most part were entertaining and enjoyable.

Most Amazing game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just finished the storyline and this game was absolutely epic. I was bummed it wasn't longer but nontheless it was amazing. The Riddler will confuse and absolutely anger you. Don't use a game guide, the storyline is too short for you to do it and you'll just regret it. Just an amazing game.

Feels like it picks straight up from Asylum
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Arkham Asylum was the first game I have ever completed every achievement for, I loved every aspect of it. And Arkham City didn't disappoint. I was surprised, even, to realize as soon as you're running around with that trusty batsuit, you've already got access to a lot of the gadgets you slowly acquire over the course of the first game. I was surprised and simply couldn't see how they could cram even more gadgets into it. Whelp, Rocksteady certainly had it it figured out. If you loved the first game, this one is a no brainer. There's just ... MORE of everything. Maybe a couple dozen too many Riddler trophies - good grief how does that guy hide so many of the blasted things? The combat being my favorite thing about the game definitely felt even more awesome than the last. At first the whole "multi-counter" aspect drove me crazy, since I didn't know you had to hit the counter button for each baddie you were countering (just spam it!) but once I figured that out... yea. Fun times. That, plus a few baddies, several new moves, and even more characters with their own unique movesets - the challenge modes just add so much to the game for me. Now if only there was a direct-brain link to ensure Batman always punches the guy I intended. Can't wait to get some more time to run through the New Game + mode!

Exclusive Content
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've never pre-ordered from Best Buy before. When do we get our exclusive content? I optioned for the in-store pickup. So I'm hoping that it will be available at the store when I pick it up. If anyone has any insight, it would be appreciated. Oh, and I'm expecting this game to be better than the first. From what I've seen from the videos and some of the hands on previews, it looks as if Batman: Arkham City will be chewing up a lot of my time this fall

Amazing game play. Exciting new changes.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being a long time fan of comic books in general, I always jump at the chance to play a super hero game. I anticipated loving this game, and I was not disappointed. All the issues I had with the first one were gone with this latest installment. The addition of Catwoman and the Robin bonus characters really make it much more exciting. It's almost endless amounts of game play.

Very Good Game!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While, in my humble opinion, there are slightly better games out there, the Batman 'series' (so far) is not one to be missed! This was a great sequel to Arkham Asylum. The puzzles, 'training', out-witting and generally just figuring out what 'needs to be done next' are the kinds of things I look for in a game ... and I wasn't disappointed!!
