This game is absolutely phenomenal. You are placed in a much larger Gotham City and the level of detail is breathtaking. The developers have perfected the superhero video game with the Arkham series. I'm sad to see this end but am anxious to see if they have any other superheroes they want to bring to life. I won't give away the plot, but understand that the side missions feel like main objectives and they seem to advance the main story. They're optional but are created to feel like you're not neglecting the main story. I love the use of weapons, the fight scenes, and the batmobile. It's not secret that it's a part of the gameplay, but the level of detail in the car is beyond what I expected. Anyone playing this will not be disappointed. Looking forward to beating it and playing any DLs.

I first heard of Rocksteady when the first Batman Arkham Asylum game came out and immediately fell in love with them. You can tell they really love what the do and are fans of the source material. The latest game is no different, as you will hear from almost every other reviewer the game only falls flat with the introduction of the batmobile. The only problem i had with the batmobile is the controls felt clunky and was the only time i found myself having to repeat missions more than i would like to admit. Besides that the game is superb, the story had me on the edge of my seat and i couldnt wait to see what was gonna happen next. The combat is more of the same, which is by no means a bad thing. If it aint broke dont fix it! The game is full of fan service, easter eggs, and hidden surprises.

Before the Arkham games the Batman franchise has had a rocky reputation with video games. It's not until Rocksteady's surprise hit Batman: Arkham Asylum that really shook the video game community by surprise. That still hold true with their latest and final installment Batman: Arkham Knight. The game let's you control Batman, and it really does an excellent job of making you feel like you're Batman. The combat, story, and gadgets all feel genuine to the world and it's characters. The only negative thing I have to say about the game is the overuse of the Batmobile, I'd say you use it almost 40% of the game, and that's a lot. It almost feels forced, and after awhile it gets dull and repetitive. It also has a "tank" mode, which pulls me out of the experience, as it's something Batman won't ever do. Overall it's a far from perfect game but still a fun experience and offer a great conclusion to the Arkham games.

So without getting into any spoilers I'll just say this... The game is exactly what you expect out of an Arkham game. The combat is tight, the story is fun, and the side missions and collectibles are numerous. It really delivers on almost every level. My main complaint is the overuse of the batmobile. I was hoping it would just be an option to traverse faster through Gotham but expect to be spending a lot of time solving puzzles and in combat in the batmobile. It's still a great game but this along with a bad launch on pc might make some want to wait to play through the final installment of this series.

Even though the game does have a familiarity with GTO, this is a fantastic new twist on the classic video game franchise of Batman: Arkham Asylum. The batmobile interface is fresh. The tag team fighting is great, and the FEAR factor is a nice option for new takedown moves. The story is very dark and gritty, and yet still mesmerizing at the same time. The batmobile does need some getting used to, especially with chases, and the controls for the gadgets is a little hard to adjust to, since Sony for some reason changed it, but it is a well thought out game. A great end to a classic franchise.

If you are a Batman fan you will enjoy this game! I have played all the other games that tie into this series (include Asylum, City, and Origins) and this game lives up to the hype. If you are a fan of this genre and play style of game then this is an easy must by. Being the first game for the Dark Knight on PS4/Xbox 1 the graphics are incredible. I haven't gotten a chance to really dive into this game yet but so far so good, I am impressed! The only thing I would count as a knock against the game is the Batmobile. Controls could be a little better. Give this game a shot!

I've loved all of the Batman Arkham games, and Arkham Knight is no different. The story is great, the gameplay is fun, and it looks amazing on the PS4. The Batmobile was a little unwieldy at first, but it gets better as you get used to the controls and get some of the later upgrades for the vehicle. I did feel like there were a few too many required Batmobile segments in the story, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the game as a whole. Overall, I'd say this game is awesome, and a must-play for any Batman fan!

If you're a batman fan, or DC fan overall, you will most likely find this game to be a fantastic experience. Gameplay: The action in this game is even more seemless than the last 3 Arkham games. There are new gadgets at Batman's disposal, and a number of characters you will be able to play as during the story. Story: The Story in my opinion is one of the best of the series. Great voice acting, jump scares, plot twists, with a dark-ery feel to it. Bat Mobile Gameplay: Some people like the Bat Mobile gameplay in this. Others don't. I am in between. It is amazing to dive off the roof tops as the Dark Knight straight into your Bat Mobile. It is very fun ejecting Batman from the car anytime, straight up into the sky. But be aware: you'll be using the Bat Mobile for a large part of the Story Missions in this game. Racing/Car Chases/Tank-like battles. Replay Value: There are 3 endings to the game. One ending requires you to collect ALL Riddler trophies, and complete ALL Most Wanted missions. So if you're into that, it'll be a while before you complete this game fully. If you're just going for the story, it should take around 8-11 hours depending on difficulty and skill. Conclusion: This game was well worth the money in my opinion. I had a blast playing it. The Dark Story, Humorous moments, Action-Packed Gameplay, and surprises kept me on the edge of my seat. I almost forgot what "Outside" was for a week. And I'm not a huge Batman fan, either. Cons: Bat Mobile use MIGHT be exhausting to some after using it for at least %50 of Story Missions/ Riddles/ Etc.

If you are a fan of the both Arkham Asylum and City, you will love this game. While the inclusion of the Batmobile is actually more of a distraction than an improvement, the overall game is excellent for Batman fans. If you where only mildly interested in the first two, this will be more or less an evolution of the series and not really anything dramatically new but for real fans of Batman... this game looks and plays like a dream.

Bought this game new from Best Buy for around $15 on sale, which is an amazing deal for a fairly new AAA title of the quality of Batman Arkham Knight. Story is outstanding, as are the graphics and sound. Shares many of the same great core gameplay mechanics from the previous game Batman Arkham City, but also focuses a lot on the Batmobile, many people thought even too much. Great overall game and value for your money, 5/5.

This will be a spoiler free in this review. I like to start off by saying I love the the pervious batman games and finished them both mulitple tomes, so i might be a little more critical on the gameplay aspect of batman Aknight. Now to the review. Let's start with the good, this game is beautiful filled with character and life. This is soo much detail you could play the game for hours and hours and find things you never noticed before. Also on the ps4 the game runs smooth with little to no slowdown. Secondly the combat is great and fun to play if not unrealistic. In this game batman fly across the screen in combat to distances that seem impossible for any human to do but I guess he is batman. Lastly, I really enjoy the way the story is presented. Some might like the story some might not, but the way it is presented and the way side mission so up is much more organic then the pervious games it is without the best part of the game. Now to the bad (or what I personally didn't like) The batmoblie. Period. Full stop. It handles like a big butted beast. The breaks do not stop the car and it always wants to fishtail into everything. You do get used to it like figuring out to switch back and forth between battle mode and drive mode to make sharp turns or reverse quickly but it is still a pain. Also the inclusion of the batmoblie in puzzles is annoying and un-needed, it just slows down the game to a trial and error marathon. I just want to be batman sometimes and the game forces you to be his car. Being forced to be anything in a "open world" game is just not fun and don't get me started on the batmoblie platforming sections. Yeah you read that right the game has car platforming. Overall I really enjoyed this game and if you played the pervious games and don't want the story spoiled I highly recommend it. It is a good game if not a bit frustrating (looking at you batmoblie). But if you play games more for the gameplay I say wait for a price drop or the "complete" edition later this year or early next.

I will start off by saying that this game is absolutely gorgeous. It is one of the best looking games I have seen on current consoles (PS4/XboxOne) thus far. The game play is vastly similar to the previous two games, so if you were a fan of those games, you will enjoy this one. For anyone who hasn't played a game from the series yet, the game is an open world adventure where you complete both main story missions, and side story missions to progress through the game. The combat system is largely unchanged from the previous games, but those who haven't played the games before, it places heavy rewards on the proper timing of strikes and counters as you beat up waves of enemies. The combat is one of the most gratifying parts of the game in my opinion, and you really enjoy the challenge of taking on tremendous amounts of enemies at once when you get the hang of the combat system. The batmobile is one of the most notable new additions, and I have seen a lot of reviewers saying that they don't like it. I can understand where they are coming from, but although I don't really think it was a necessary addition to the game, they did at least try to incorporate the new abilities tied to the batmobile into the game in thoughtful ways. Part of the reason that I think the batmobile isn't as enjoyable for some gamers is because using your grappling hook to shoot into the air, and then gliding around the city with your cape is one of the highlights of the game. Overall I certainly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the series, or enjoys open world games. Rocksteady (the developer) has done a phenomenal job crafting a game that makes you feel like you truly are batman. Between the combat, the super-cool detective mode to look for clues, and all of the gadgets at your disposal, you really don't ever get the feeling that there is something missing from the experience.

Overall, this is a satisfying end to Rocksteady's Batman Arkham games. The combat is fun, as usual, the graphics are great, and the story is on point. If you liked the previous Arkham games, then you will like this one as well. However, I do have one huge complaint about the game. The biggest offender is the batmobile, which I feel was shoved down our throats. I was getting ready for an epic boss fight, only to find out it was just another batmobile tank battle. It was quite disappointing. For that reason, I have to give the game a 4/5 instead of a 5/5.

Like most console gamers, I have greatly enjoyed the "Arkham" Trilogy by Rocksteady Studios, I say that because I did not complete Arkham Origins (Dev by Warner Bros.), however I did beat that now infamouse Deathstrokeboss fight but after that the game felt very recylced and I told my self I would for next-gen Arkham installment by Rocksteady. Just let me say, it was def worth the wait! Arkham Knight is a fitting finale for Rocksteady and I couldnt be happier playing it on the PS4. The game looks polished and plays very smoothly. It is the same Arkham formula however they changed just enough to make it feel like a whole new experience. The inclusion of the Batmobile has generally been positive however there are parts the game where it feels forced, echoed by gamers alike. Also the droid tank battle seem a bit out of place. Nothing feels more satisfying then launching out of the Batmobile, gliding, then entering the Batmobile all in one motion! The game also game with tons of FREE DLC. The Harley Quinn Story, Wayne Tech Upgrades, New 52 Skins, Classic Skins, and the Sony PS4 Exclusive Scarecrow missions. Props to Rocksteady Studios, DC Comics and Warner Bros. for putting out a classic! Get this game now!!!

A must own for all batman fans. Controls are excellent and fluid in combat, predator mode, and batmobile modes. The only possible negative is you may or may not enjoy the tank combat as you are buying a batman game to feel like batman, not play world of tanks. Personally I enjoy it. Great addition to the current gen library

This was perhaps the best of the recent Batman series games. I particularly enjoyed how the game made me emotional at times for the characters. Being able to travel the large city with the Batmobile is also quite appealing. The only part of the game that I didn't find quite as simple as some of the other games was the riddler trophys and what not, they seemed a tad more difficult so that getting 100% completion to me didn't feel quite as easy. Of course, the game is meant to be challenging so I think that speaks more of my laziness. Still, overall the game quality was fantastic, the fighting and addition of the fear multi takedown was amazing, the increased use of items like the disrupter was certainly welcome, being able to utilize a variety of characters in combat was great, plus solving the mystery of who the arkham knight is was quite exciting. Overall the game is great, and definitely leaves room for some follow up which left me intrigued and excited.

The graphics play well on the PS4 system but the combo sets get very redundant, especially early in the game. The amount of different controller combinations lead to difficulty in operating the character exactly how you want. The lack of clues in missions create difficulty in completing objectives. Batman is famous for his gadgets, but they were never intended to be so difficult to activate.

This is the first of the Arkham series that I have played more than just a couple of hours. It is quite different from previous games so if you aren't a fan of the other games than this may be your cup of tea. Ive noticed that there are a lot more of those "cause the biggest scene" missions than there are stealth style missions. At least thats how it feels especially when running and gunning in the new Batmobile. It is definitely a great addition to the game. The controls of the batmobile are a bit clunky at first but with a little bit of time it does become natural. The voice acting is superb as always and is expected of Warner Brothers to pull out all the stops when casting. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill return once more to bring the nostalgia back into every '90s Batchild that grew up stuck to the television after school line up on Kids WB. Soundtrack as well fits into every scene well, making you feel immersed in the gameplay without distracting from the tone of the moment. Overall I'll give it a 4.5/5. Only because I enjoy more of an underdog that Batman is in other stories rather than Battle Armor Robocop Soldier that he is in this game, even though all the new toys are just so much fun to use. And for the $11.99 I was able to grab it online for made this my favorite game on this console.
