Classic movie, though I am not sure how well it has aged.

The UHD picture is amazing. Definitely noticeable upgrade over the previous blu-ray release. The Atmos track sounds great except they used a revisionist track and replaced a ton of the original sound effects with modern sounding generic foley.

This was the first of the Batman series from 1989-1997 and is still the best of the lot. Michael Keaton set the benchmark for that era's Batman and, of course, Jack Nicholson's Joker is a wild and zany classic of a performance. The 4K/HDR picture quality is excellent as is the Atmos audio track. There is an abundance of bonus features on the included Blu-ray. This 4K version of Batman is a keeper.

The picture looked great. The changed sound effects took a bit to get used to but honestly didn't bother me that much. It's probably the best sound mix for this movie that I've heard. It was a lot easier to hear the dialogue. Well worth it to upgrade to 4k.

This movie is a work of art by Tim Burton! Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson are both amazing as is Kim Basinger, Pat Hingle, Michael Gough, Robert Wuhl, and Jack Palance. No spoilers to those who haven't seen this film, but it is truly amazing, and you will not regret watching this film!!!! I highly recommend picking up this film!

Great 4K remaster especially from a 1989 film. As far as the remaster quality the next film in the series, "Batman Returns" does the best job in the remaster quality and any fan of this film will undoubtedly be pleased with that one as well. This is by far the best way to experience the first major Batman film. Highly recommend!

I bought this at Best Buy for $19 and I have seen this cheaper before in the past but I decided to get it because I thought the price was fair and I have seen the other Batman movies such as The Dark Knight trilogy and those were good movies and I have seen Ben Affleck as Batman in some of the DCEU movies. I did see this movie twice on Blu-Ray and I enjoyed it.

A bit dated, but Burton's Batman is visually stunning & Burtonesque in every way. Jack Nicholson steals the show with his portrayal of The Joker. Prince's contribution to the soundtrack makes it fun to listen to. While Christian Bale's portrayal of Batman in The Dark Knight series is the definitive one, Michael Keaton's Batman has always remained closest to my heart. All in all, still delightful to watch.

I love the Dark Knight series, basically you would not have MCU if it wasn't for Batman Begins and how that movie changed Hero movies for good. I still have a love for the Micheal Keaton Batman role and I still remember seeing this in the theater when I was a little kid. Looks and sounds great for how old of a movie this is and Tim Burton is well Tim Burton.

The newer Batman movies are darker, which I prefer. This is more along the lines of the campy tv series. Jack was awesome as the Joker. I actually prefer Jack’s version over Heath’s version. The movie was entertaining.

Tim Burton is an excellent director, and his version of the 1st of the series is the best. Great look to the production, Nicholson, a lot of fun as the Joker. (But obviously has ben outdone over the recent years by better performances) and steals the show. Keaton a little flat as Batman, and Basinger a waste in a throw away feminine role. As for the 4k version, it's fine, but I do not see significant differences between that and the original blu ray, so be cautious with an upgrade. So, enjoy it, it's fun, but that's about it.

Evokes memories of a more carefree, innocent, joyous time in my life. So many great lines and scenarios, all brilliantly acted and played out, it's almost like great literature, or at least a good graphic or pulp novel. A lot of wonderful toys, too. I doubt this will ever be topped for Batman movies, maybe even comic book / superhero movies in general. It's just a great MOVIE. Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?

Batman 1989 is a great classic superhero/comic book movie. Its dark, slightly silly, and a fun time all around. The new 4K transfer is very good. The cinematography has always been kinda meh looking and blurry, so this transfer faithfully recreates that look with moderate grain and nice bold colors, like on Joker's purple suit.

These Tim Burton Batman steelbooks are scarce, so if you see one in store, pick it up! However, double check the case because for some reason the Bat steelbooks I've come across have been dented, I managed to get a good one.

The grittieness of this movie was the inspiration of the best dc movie ever made in my a pinion. That is “the dark knight” of “ the dark knight trilogy”. The story is great , and the picture quality of this 4K is awesome. There is a small bit of grain, but it dose not detract from the excellent picture quality.

While Christopher Nolan's trilogy is more widely known and critically lauded, Tim Burton's original "re-boot" in 1989 was fantastic. I still remember seeing it for the first time in the 4-screen theater in my hometown when I was a kid. Michael Keaton is still arguably the best Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Jack Nicholson was the perfect, campy Joker for the time. This is simply a classic that I never get tired of.

Batman has been considered one of the iconic superheroes of all time and Tim Burton helped set the dark tone and atmosphere of Batman we recognize today. From stars like Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson to the production values, this 1989 adaptation is one of the definitive Batman movies next to the Christopher Nolan movies and Mask of Phantasm.

I don’t know why I’m buying movies in this digital age, but 11-year old me loved this movie, so I figured what the heck and snagged it in the $4.99 bin. I’ve made worse purchases for far more. Plus, I think my kids will like it. “Where does he get those wonderful toys?” Fantastic.
