If you're at all a fan of Batman, you should enjoy this movie which is based on an early 2000s story written by Jeph Loeb. To be sure it's not a straight up adaptation, but does hit many of the main beats from the source material and focuses on the relationship between Batman/Bruce and Catwoman/Selina. It has a few great laugh out loud moments, too, which are welcome in a mostly otherwise serious story. Presentation in 4k is excellent and I'm happy to have this on the shelf to revisit it whenever i like. This edition also has some bonus material including an animated film starring SGT. ROCK and Easy Company, and a full length commentary by the filmmakers. (And for the record, the only live action Batman films that I would watch BEFORE watching this one again would be Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. :)

This movie was an adaptation of the comic. The animation was great but the story was different from the original comic book. Overall it was a good show, plus the figure was neat.

Good movie but the digital codes are no longer valid. This was one of the main reasons I purchased this movie. It was too late to return the title to the store

A Batman Hush movie has been talked about for years among fans. This is fun and still a pretty cool story, but there are aspects comicbook purists will not like. The animation style mirrors the New 52 art style more than Jim Lee’s iconic artwork. This includes efforts to tie in the Batman Hush story with the new 52 DC animated universe movie continuity they have been producing. While the story remains largely the same, some changes in this adaptation will irk comic book fans (without giving away any spoilers). Best buy’s Limited Edition Batman Hush packaging which includes the Hush figurine is very cool. He is now sitting on my desk at work with Batman and the Joker next to him.

    Another Great DCAU Movie

Say what you want about the DCEU offerings, DC has nailed the animated front and Batman:Hush is no exception. Based one of the most popular batman stories of all time, Batman Hush takes the 12 issues mini series and condenses it down to a 90 minute movie with great success. a combination of Whodunit mystery and love stories The voice acting is solid with Jason O'mara returning to voice Batman and Jenifer Morrison (House,Once Upon A Time) turning in a solid performance as the voice for Catwoman. I will admit that the two together don't have mush chemistry at first but they grew on me. Great action and animation which is to be expected from the DCAU and a large number of villains appear as well. Joker,Harley, Bane,Poison Ivy ,Scarecrow, Lady Shiva and Clayface all make appearances. Overall this is a great addition to an already excellent DC animated movie library.

A Good Adaptation of a Great Comic Storyline

These DC Universe animated movies have been consistently enjoyable for the last number of years, adapting popular storylines or sporting wholly original stories. Batman: Hush is an adaptation of what is arguably regarded as the greatest Batman story of all time. I think in many Regards, it holds up nicely to the book. But it does change quite a few elements from the original story which fairly fundamentally change the arc. I felt the changes worked, but ultimately it was underwhelming compared to the original comic. The quality of the video and audio is fantastic and the special features are extremely thorough and entertaining. The movie also comes with a complete commentary by the filmmakers and a digital redemption code. This is definitely worth picking up if you like the comic storyline or if you’re a fan of the animated films.

Batman: Hush is an adaptation of a well received comic book story of the same. The animated version follows some of the same beats as that story but ultimately it spins off into its' own version. The movie is on par with the other Batman/Justice League animated movies that have been released recently. If you enjoy those films then you will most likely enjoy this one as well. If however, you don't like the other films then there is nothing here to win you over. The movie makes some rather significant changes to the original story which will bother some folks but I still thought that it was a fun watch, despite those changes.

DC's Batman Hush is one of the best DC animated movie I have and have them all. Batman hasto battle good and bad to finally get to Hush, the detective beats he (of course, he's Batman). This movie was entertaining from beginning to end. The reveal of Hush was s great reveal. DC, pump these animated movies out every other month. Batman is the bread winner, make 1 every 2 months and I will buy, please keep putting limited edition figurines in the and I would buy anyway, but if it has a figurine, I buy 1 to watch and display and 1 to keep sealed. Please press DVDs, I give these away to kids that dont know or can afford, so they can understand why Batman is so Cool. SL

This DC Animated Universe movie comes in the 80th anniversary year of Batman and it is packed with most of the caped crusader’s rogues’ gallery. I liked the story and the animation, but the voice acting could have been better. Additionally, the brief “strong language” in the movie seemed very forced in order to gain a PG-13 rating. The Blu-ray A/V is good. The bonus features are the standard ones for DC animated movies: commentary, making of, bonus cartoon of Batman the Animated Series (in HD!), and previews for other DC animated films. Also included is a great DC Showcase Short: Sgt. Rock. It is good to see the return of Showcase shorts to these DC Animated Universe movies.

As Good As It Can Get in 81 Minutes

I think to do this story true justice, it would have to be done in two installments, to fully flesh out the story and feature the flashbacks of Bruce's and Tommy's friendship. Also, Jeph Loeb's writing styling of having batman narrate what was going in is hard to do in this style of movie. But given the time restraint and challenges that come with adapting a 12 issue comic book story into an animated movie, this can be considered a success. Just like Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, this movie too has a surprise twist toward the end that changes the movie a bit but I did not mind it. Especially since some of the story had to be sacrificed to get the run time down.

Another Well Done DC Animated Feature

I'm going to start out by saying, if you start reading other reviews that begin with "I've been waiting for years for this but... " or "I didn't expect a word for word adaptation but..." just stop and move on. You're only in for a "fanboy" rant about how it wasn't a word for word adaptation. OK. So for the review. I've read the Hush story several times and know what will happen, so the changes worked well enough to keep me interested. They did a good job at keeping the action going but also telling a more personal story of Bruce Wayne and his life. If you enjoy watching a good story then watch this one.

I heard about the early reviews of this film that said that it deviates from the original comic and changes a few things around. This comic is one of my all time favorite comic books so I ignored what I heard and went in with an open mind and with that being said, I really enjoyed this movie a lot. It was so well done and even though at times it deviates from the comic, they do a really good job at selling the story to deviate from the comic. I have not been a big fan of some of the most recent dc animated films, but this one was very well done.

If you read the comics, then this movie will likely serve as a disappointment if you directly compare. However, if you don’t care about the comics or can accept this as it’s own tale, then you will be pleasantly surprised. It’s a hood story and has a lot of your favorite characters good and bad. The animation is top notch and shines on 4K Blu-ray with HDR. This is the definitive version of how to view this film. It has a more adult tone and is a welcome addition to the animated DC Universe library. Highly recommend.

WB DC animated movies are so high quality it's not even funny. This is yet another fantastic entry by WB Animation and I think it is their best one yet. In this one, a new enemy named Hush emerges and tests Batman more than he has ever been tested before. This mysterious new enemy manipulates both heroes and villains alike to do his/her bidding and this time, the good guys may not be able to save the day! Based off the comic book storyline of the same name, this is a movie you don't want to miss.

"Batman: Hush" proved to be a very entertaining film that takes enough liberties from the original source story to still honor it while having it's own twists and fitting well into the Animated Movie continuity. The discs themselves work well, and has a few good features. The included 15 minute short about Stg. Rock is a treat in itself. Without going into spoilers, it's full of Easter Eggs for long time DC and War Comics fans and worth seeing for itself.

When these animated movies first started being made, they were great because they each had their own style and look. Then the animation became loose and rushed in later movies. Some of it even looked awkward character wise. This movie marks an improvement. The characters and design look more like time was put in to make them look good. The story is okay even though it differs from the original comic. All in all not a bad movie at all but not perfect like dark knight returns or Batman year one.
