While this film is within continuity of the animated series, this film can be watched as a standalone film. There have been numerous animated Batman films released since this one, but this one remains the best. The comic is a nice bonus as well.

Quite simply the best Batman story ever told - now perfected in 4k. And with the added bonus of the comic this bundle comes with, every Batman fan needs this in their collection!

Great value for money with this edition since it comes with an exclusive comic and behind-the-scenes materials.

Feels like a completel rip-off. The comic book included isn't really free, and the stock image is not what you get. If this was an exclusive, it should've included a steelbook. They increased the price for this edition, and all you get is the standard 4K packaging along with the comic book.

So happy I ran into this when got a chance...my cover came little dented but oh well. One of classics owned but I did wish they would of came in steelbook edition. Otherwise very happy have it!!

If you're a child of the 90's, and watched Batman - The Animated Series, then you likely know this title. This was very thankfully included with the blu-ray box set of The Animated Series. So why get this if already part of the box set? The picture quality and sound got seriously beefed up! While I'm about to use a cliched phrase, I can without a doubt say it has never looked and sounded better - That's the only reason I give this 5 stars. There are downsides though - You only get the 1.85:1 aspect ratio (full image from the 4:3 is still on OG blu-ray), and no blu-ray copy of this remaster. That said, I'm also pleased this came with the full comic adaptation of this film too, and digital copy as well. If anything else, if you don't want to get this right away no shame in waiting for a sale; I cannot recommend this enough.

The new 4K presentation has been beautifully restored, preserving the original hand drawn animation without scrubbing it clean. This does not include the additional open matte 4:3 version that was on the Blu-ray release, but that's fine by me because I first saw it theatrically (even though I wore out my original VHS). Another reviewer felt misled about this being a steelbook, but it was NEVER marketed that way in photos or item details. The exclusive factor is that this Best Buy version features a fun, little comic book, which was never referred to as a free bonus.

I went to see Mask of the Phantasm with my Pa in an empty movie theater on Christmas Day 1993. Three decades later the film is now available to own in the highest- quality possible for home viewing-- like having your own 35mm print! Looks amazing on my 46" Sony 4K LED! I also want to mention this particular release at Best Buy also came with a replica 64 page comic book from the DC 1993 adaption, and a slipcover as well. A must own for fans!

My favorite childhood movie now in 4K! I saw this in the theaters, then my parents bought me the VHS tape. At some point I upgraded to DVD but didn’t really like the transfer. This new 4K transfer is beautifully clean and crisp for such an old hand drawn movie. It was great to watch it all over again. I remembered every line!

I’m a huge fan of Mask of the Phantasm. While I don’t like that it’s basically an update version of the blu ray- I did buy it because I’m a completionist. The lack of special features hurts it, but this movie is great so it gets a pass as I plan on it being in the collection regardless

A great Batman movie during the best era, I'm glad it was released on 4k and I'm happy to own it. The reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because the packaging was kind of disappointing. Of all the movies not to do a wide release steelbook for...

The icing on the cake would have been placed if this release was on a steelbook format instead of a regular 4k-Ultra HD film case, but glad to see the film get the 4k-Ultra HD update, along with the inclusion of it's comic book adaptation. Recommend if wanting to own the comic book and if planning on owning a physical copy of the film to watch.

Its a great movie companion to a great TV series with some of the best story and voiceover in animation history. Fantastic physical package and quality. My only gripe is that this team did this for so long we took it for granted.

WB completely remastered the movie for this disc and gave it a dts 5.1 audio track that no other home format of this movie has had before and this disc is just wow!

I haven't watched the movie yet cuz I still need a 4K player and TV :) I wanted to buy as many movies as I can before BB stops selling physical media.

Thank you WB. Natural grain. No DNR and original audio option for this release. Healthy bitrate. Colors are not too bright for a batman movie. 5 stars.

Packaging included a Slipcover and a comic for the 4k edition. Looks awesome in image quality from the older DVD copy I have so glad with purchase.

This is one of my favorite Batman movies ever made! A must watch for any fans of the cape crusader. The comic was also a lovely addition.
