One of the most faithful adaptations the! Only complaint, because it is two parts formed into one movie it gets a little long

A dark distopian future where Batman is a criminal from the law. The years have taken its toll on the Dark Knight, but he still fights the good fight. It all leads up to the dramatic finale between Batman and Superman's final fight. Having read the source material I found it very faithful. Be prepared though, it is long and draws out in the beginning.

if you love the Dark knight returns comic book, then you will love this animation adaption to it.
