I have not read the graphic novel this movie is based on. I found the movie enjoyable as a whole. The art direction and production design were great. It was fun to see it set in the 80's. Some aspects of the relationship between Batman and Superman were challenging for me due to the idea that Superman worked for the USA. But Batman's tale was great and I loved the three part arc which was able to integrate multiple villains. I think it also bothered me a little that the film was pretty violent and wouldn't recommend this to anyone under 13. All in all, I had a good time with this film.

i wish these movies would be full feature length, hour and half. Although the DVD is two difrerent episodes combined, they still should be an hour and half long each. I didn't realize when i bought this I had already seen the two movies, due them being previously released. I returned the DVD because I already have the movies.

This was as close to the graphic novel as you can get. This included the blueray and DVD of the movie as well as an addition blueray with the special features, collector cards, and a UV copy. Definitely worth buying this instead of buying part 1 and then part 2.

This is a great rendition of the best of all the Barman storylines ever published. If you're a true fan of the Dark Knight, you'll be thoroughly surprised and entertained by the various plot twists. This movie truly shines in a group viewing session.

An amazing adaptation of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Returns. The voice acting was superb, the animation was beautiful, and the story is a classic. A must own in my opinion.

I was excited to see this adaptation of the book. I was not happy with the choice of Peter Weller as the Batmans voice. Kevin Conroy wouldve been great! The drawings were great as always!

Get this movie please.....you won't regret it...better than a lot of live action movies. Batman, Superman and The Joker, priceless...

Loved the adaptation of one of my favorite comics. Just wish I knew why it was in the family section when it's so violent.

I have to say, my 7 year old was a little disappointed..It felt like this was geared more towards the adult crowd.
