The Dark Knight Returns (DKR) is ESSENTIAL to any Batman fan. The graphic novel is required reading. The fact that it is included in this set makes this a must buy-unless you own a copy of the graphic novel already. Very similar to DC film adaption of Batman Year One, the DKR film version is faithful to the novel, with a few minor changes (very minor). The animation is a little different than the book but it is to be expected (although it is not as different as The Killing Joke will be). Although, the film is rated PG-13, this is closer to an R rated animated feature. It is a more mature story of the Dark Knight and the violence is more intense than previous Batman features. The special features are excellent, although the Frank Miller interviews are older interviews and nothing recent of the disc's release.

Comic is definitely worth the purchase and it comes with the deluxe animated movie with bonus features on blu-ray and DVD. Wish it came with a case for the movie though.

One of the best Batman graphic novels of all time! This a great bundle that includes the bluray deluxe edition, digital codes for both the movies and graphic novel. A best buy for sure!

This movie is awesome!! It is rather lengthy but its parts 1 and 2. And plus you get the graphic novel as well!! And I caught it on sale for $13!! Can't beat that. I highly recommend this movie.

This movie is probably one of the best portrayals of Batman and Frank Miller does an amazing job telling this story. Not only is the blu-ray included but the graphic novel which is one of the best comic book versions ever. This is definitely a most buy for superhero lovers plus the price is insanely reasonable compared to how much the blu-ray and graphic novel cost separately.

This Deluxe Edition was a fantastic animated translation of the original comic. Don’t believe me. Well, it comes with the seminal comic along with it. You can see for yourself. I love these graphic novel / movie combos. They’re hardback and they even come with digital versions of the movie and the comic. That’s a bargain and a half. The deluxe version of the movie has both parts 1 & 2 which were previously released separately. In addition, there are loads of extras including commentary, comprehensive making-of features and 5 Batman animated episodes. This is enough Batman to get you by for a week’s viewing. High;y recommended.

The Dark Knight Returns is one of the greatest and most influential graphic novels of all time and the movie is an extremely faithful and wonderful adaptation.

I paid very little for this and don't regret it. Well worth the normal price. I was just getting out of comics around the "Doomsday Superman" era, so I missed a lot. I find it is easier to pick up a graphic novel (and cheaper) than to hunt down the actual comics. I'm not a collector these days, but I still enjoy the comic format from time to time. The movie set was a nice inclusion as well.

I’m a huge batman fan, I have every batman live action and cartoon and hands down this is the best one period. Epic story by frank miller mimics the art of the book. Comes wiht part one and two, also has the comic in it and comes wiht A blue ray and dvd discs as well as an extra bonus disk.

Clocking in over 2 hours this DC Animated Movie accurately retells the classic Dark Knight Returns Tale from Frank Miller. Art and animation are quite wonderful, it does a wonderful job conveying the brutal style of the original work. There are some minor omissions and changes but nothing that decreases the impact and intensity of the original story.

So for me this is a triple dip. First release was in parts and bought for their exclusive figures. Then the Steelbook release making it a solid edited film in a really cool package. Fast forward and now a new edition is released and its the best of both worlds, comic and movies in one awesome package. 100% say buy this totally worth it.

Great package, the novel is in mint condition and the movie are secured in the back of the novel.

Two of my favorite animated movies! The stories behind them are awesome and so is the animation!

I really liked that it's a collection of comic books in one. They take you through the story of the Dark Knight! The DVD was also amazing! I bought this right after I saw BvS in the theaters because certain scenes from these comics were recreated on the big screen. One of the greatest stories of Batman ever told!

Both the graphic novel and film adaptation are nothing short of great. If you a fan of Batman do yourself a favor and buy this immediately. For the price of just the graphic novel you get the movie and the comic!
