With the source material being considered one of the more favored Batman stories, this iteration of the caped crusader within DC's new animation style needed to hit it's marks. IMO, it did just that while also incorporating some nifty additions. As for the steelbook itself, its beautifully done. The artwork is amazing. Lastly, I noticed that the case contains 2 disc holders but contains only 1 disc.

Great movie the story is beautiful and the action is super,I can’t wait for the second part. It’s just as good as the comic book. A must have for all Batman fans. And if you want to enhance this movie get the comic book, it will increase the experience of the story.

The Long Halloween part 1 is so great. If you loved the graphic novel you will love this film. The steelbook is stunning, a must have. Can't wait for Part 2

This is one of the best DC animated movies since The Dark Knight Returns, it’s so good and I can’t wait for part 2, and the steelbook is beautiful.

This is a Beautiful Steelbook inside and out, its one of the better animated DC steelbooks for sure. The only wierd thing is that all of the Steelbooks so far came with dvds along with the blu ray disk. This steelbook was just a bluray but had the place holder for another disk which makes it look like a disk is missing. Strange but still a Great Purchase. As far as the movie goes; I was honestly having to stop and clap in joy at how DC is back! Its been suffering for years since Timm left his executive position. As far as the quality of animation goes; its the best out of every DC animated ever released. Trust ME

An excellent blu ray and decent movie. Nothing can live up to the book though.

Beautiful art and am awesome animated depiction of the long Halloween comic. Obviously animation will look different because they're not attempting to recreate the comic frame by frame they're ensuring the animation sticks to their new rebirth univers that includes the same animation style as man of tomorrow (Superman) and Justice society of America WW1 (flash)

Love a good steel book! This movie is good. Although maybe worth waiting for the second one to come out and their might be a two part in one steelbook. Who knows? Either way, if by the time you’re reading this the second part has came out and there isn’t one, well then buy this because it’s a good movie and looks great!

This is the Batman I have been waiting for. I don't know the story from the comics but with Jensen Ackles as Batman, I'm on board. He has just the right voice. All of the others actors are great too. It's a little slow at first to set up the story but then it jumps into high gear. Can't wait for part 2.

It was very interesting to see these comics turn into movies. They are definitely interesting if you wanna get into the mafia world of gotham city. Some villians just showed up to say were here tho. Its pretty much the same as the other review except this part has more of the joker.

My steelbook came with a nasty dent on the cover but even that doesn't take away from how good this movie is. I would say I can't wait for part II but I may have to now seeing as how Best Buy canceled my pre-order. Hopefully this won't be the case.

DC Animated Universe collectors here. Cast from other than the "regulars" was absolutely fantastic. Bummed it's a two parter split between months but that's just me wanting one movie to pop in amd watch. You'll enjoy pt.1 and will surely enjoy pt.2!

Good movie. A young batman trying to figure out who's killing people on the holidays. He thought it was a certain person, but come to find out it wasn't him. An he got killed by that person. Can't wait to part 2 comes out next month.

Had it shipped, arrived the day of release. Steel book was well worth the extra $ and made a great addition to my collection. The film was a great take on the comic of the same name and also includes a great voice cast

Oh wow, how do you take one of the most beloved Batman books and adapt it. But make it just different enough to keep the fans in their seats and wanting for part 2? You do some of the same changes like done here

Rating is an ultimate 5 stars. I really liked the story line. It is a classic Batman, Joker, and other crime syndicate show. The movie leaves a cliffhanger after the credits run, so make sure you do not forget to watch.

DC absolutely knocks this out of the park. They are the masters of animated films as far as I'm concerned and this is coming from a super Marvel fanboy. Do not skip this, you won't be disappointed.

Easily one of DC Animated’s very best films. Moody noir with stunning visuals and incredible voice work. Skip the steelbook though, it’s disappointingly similar to the wide release artwork.
