I thought that this was a better movie than the critics gave it credit for. Worthy of your time if you like superhero movies

I think critics were a little harsh on BvS, the fact that a film like Iron Man 2 or 3 could receive the rotten tomatoes scores they did but it was butchered seems somewhat unfair. However the fact that SO much was cut out of the film did hamper the overall presentation of the story and plot points. The directors cut doesn't save the movie in a sense that it's suddenly some unheralded masterpiece, but it does make it a much more enjoyable superhero romp through the darkness. Both the regular Blu (OF NOTE: the Regular Blu in the UHD/Blu combo pack is JUST the theatrical cut, don't ask me why!) and the Extended UHD disc feature amazingly nuanced Dolby Atmos mixes. If you're a home theater buff like myself already equipped for Atmos, you're in for a treat! The climactic sequences, in particular when (SPOILER) Doomsday erupts a giant bust of energy (END SPOILER) warrants purchase alone. The UHD video quality is overall VERY good but just a hint of a mixed bag. There was A LOT of varying sources for the footage - ranging from Digital high res to 65mm and down - and so the film can have some AMAZING looking sequences, and some that may come across a bit softer. All in all the film, which indeed is a intensely grainy and gritty visual experience, looks fantastic in 4K and UHD.

Love, love, LOVE this movie. Finally picked up the 4K version and was not disappointed. Happy the superior Director's Cut is on the 4K disc, rather than regulated to the Blu-Ray.

I was wondering when DC will have an answer to Marvel and this was it. Sure it’s not as polished as the Avengers but the cast did their best and the movie was amazing. Well done!

Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice has been criticized for not being what it should be or being too dark well guess what...nobody cares about what movies should be anymore..they are what they are. This movie was a huge moneymaker regardless of all the bad reviews etc. Ben Affleck plays a truly remarkable Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Gal Gadot does an excellent job as Wonder Woman..The story is pretty simple both Batman and Superman lead separate lives in different places..Gotham City and Metropolis..however whiz kid Lex Luthor does what he does best...plays everybody and causes the two most popular superheroes to clash and literally kill each other. When he doesn't succeed in that happening he uses General Zod's dead body, and DNA and forges it with his blood to create a super kryptonian deformity Doomsday to attack and destroy them both. Wonder Woman shows up to help out both Superman and Batman. The fight scenes, action, editing, music, photography, and choreography is fantastic throughout the film. There are subtle references from The Dark Knight franchise as well as Man of Steel..The rest of the Justice League aka The Metahumans have small cameos..Cyborg, Flash, Aquaman but don't enter the fray to help out yet. I won't reveal what happens but I can tell you this the D.C. Heroes are going to have their hands full with many more movies, stories, fights, adventures and villains(Darkseid) I saw this movie twice at the theaters & twice on Blu-ray and its an excellent entry in the DC Superheroes Saga of Films..if you don't like it for whoever is in it, or how dark it is..its real simple don't watch it. I have a feeling the rest of the DC Expanded Universe are going to go more in a direction of the 70's Challenge of the Super-friends T.V. Series and stray away from the more dark/brooding Man of Steel, Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad..Buckle up Comic fans, nerds, and geeks our time is now!!

A movie that beats you into submission and makes you wonder if the sun will ever come out again. When in doubt, [Snyder] simply slings another ingredient into the mix, be it an irradiated monster, an explosion on government premises, or the sharp smack of masonry on skull. only good thing about the movie was wonder woman, and they still managed to goof it up

I had never looked forward to seeing a movie more than I looked forward to seeing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on opening night in Times Square. As was the case with many seeing the film for the first time, I cam away very disappointed and confused over the incoherent theatrical cut. This Ultimate Edition answered many of the questions I had regarding the plot and I decided to purchase it in 4K immediately after seeing an exclusive screening of this particular cut in New York prior to its release. However, the picture quality of the 4K edition being viewed on my Xbox One S was excellent in some scenes and very poor in other scenes. My 4K TV's lack of HDR compatibility may be partially to blame for this, but in some scenes the picture was so bad that it was distracting. Also, there is always the issue of not being able to view the movie full screen (black bars across top and bottom of the screen) with the majority of Blu-Ray DVDs. As a film, I recommend this as the Ultimate Edition is a vast improvement of the theatrical cut. However, I do no believe the 4K edition is necessary or worth the extra money, especially if your TV is not HDR capable.

Great special effects, first appearance on Wonder Woman leading into her own movie, and 4K version is 3+ hours which is about 30 minutes longer than Blu-ray! Lots of extras!

So the latest Batman is extremely dark and moves very slow, but it introduces the latest Batman and continues the Man of Steel crew and most notably introduces Wonder Woman. This intro is probably the highlight of the movie. SPOILER ALERT: This movie does hand the viewer a look at Lex Luthor played by Jessie Eisenberg as well as the death of Superman.
