I enjoyed the art style, story, and battle system a lot. It's great looking, fun, and had likeable characters. I liked that you could use whatever team you wanted. Also, I liked the turn based battle system with active wait bar. It reminded me a lot of Chrono trigger. The only con is that the game felt short... But it was still very enjoyable! I hope more sequels come out!

The game is excellent. Good views, great atmosphere, and old fashioned but really interesting gameplay. Especially it's a fit to handheld mode. The only disadvantage is the poor optimization. It's not a serious issue but the loading time is actually a little bit long. Hope in the future there will be a patch to fix that!

Awesome OST can't get enough of it. Story is good, gameplay is chill and good feels of grind. Not too hard, but death is lurking in the later levels. Overall I give this game 8 out of 10. It left me wanting for more story and character development, but alas I feel as if I should of read the comics, here's to hoping they make a sequel.

This is a great game like the old Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy games. I have put about 50 hours in completing the game and I didn’t even beat every big boss. The battle system is addictive, and the story is based on a comic that you should read the Wikipedia page of to understand the backstory. Great game.

Battle Chasers is a great RPG on Switch. Looks and runs well and like all Switch games is great to be able to take on the go. Would be better with cross platform saves as I'm farther on Xbox One with Game Pass, but that's besides the point.

A fun game right in my wheelhouse. Younger gamers not used to slower paced story driven games will hate this. Turn based combat and jrpg story is fun.

Super disappointed that the comic series that this is based on was never finished but this is the next best thing. Super fun game very reminiscent of JRPGs with turn-based combat that I grew up playing. Good visuals, music, enjoyable characters and story, and the gameplay has yet to get repetitive.

I was especially excited about getting this in my hands, seeing as I was a fan of the Battle Chasers comic in the mid-90's. The game starts well enough, which a fantastic art style (expected!), and compelling characters. Over time however, the story becomes a bore - predictable and unexciting. The gameplay is engaging, with a unique combat system, but with no compelling story to drive your quest from point A to point B (it feels very very linear at times), there just isn't a reason to see what the next dungeon holds. Good enough fun for a while, but buy it on sale.

This game is a different kind of RPG and if you are a rpg fan in general than you must try this. It has a good story with dynamic characters and a unique battle system. It has a difficulty unlike any RPG iv played too lol

Based off the comics this game is a traditional rpg with stylized characters but with similar gameplay to the older Final Fantasy games. Definitely worth having, the loading times could be better though, but still fun.

Solid game. Took a shot in the dark because I didn't think I would ever like Turn Base Combat games, but this game is addicting. Cool story, cool upgrades, and it runs very well on the switch.

Been enjoying this a lot! The dungeons are fun, art looks fantastic, and plays great on the Switch. Even though it's available on pretty much every other platform too, being able to play on the go is always a bonus!

Fun game! The battle system was unique and surprisingly had a lot of depth. This game was like a mix between Diablo, final fantasy, and Chrono trigger. I would definitely recommend this game for any RPG fans.

Battle chasers takes you back to old style rpg action with amazing graphics and art style if you ever read the comic they literally took the art from the pages and made it playable.

This game held me over while I waited for Octopath Traveler. It’s a turn based RPG which I like. The story aspect and the combat are great.

If you are looking for a western RPG, I highly recommend this game. Combat and story is engaging!

While I would recommend this game to a friend (I love Joe’s art and the gameplay is awesome) it should be acknowledged that even at this point in its lifecycle the game on every platform is riddled with game breaking bugs. If you can avoid the very specific occurrences that cause these bugs, it’s great; but you won’t know it until you hit one.

Well 20 years ago a famous comic artist made a 9 issue comic series about this that he never finished, because he went to make video games instead. It was popular at the time, now he’s bringing it back. I still like it. Hopefully he decides to give us a couple of issues to close out the story. Bizarre story though. Good game.

It is an okay game and throwback to turn based RPG mechanics. However, I found navigating the overworld to get pretty dull pretty fast. The story is average. The gameplay is fun though for a while before it also starts to feel like a slog
