I enjoyed the single player story mode, but really didn't like multiplayer.

This game is can be a great gift and is meant mostly for online game play so make sure you have internet connection before buying

Battlefield is a unique game like no other. You really feel like if you are in a real battlefield. The sound is excellent, and you can really notice the difference on each weapon, you can hear footsteps and voices. Not to mention your surroundings, like missing bullets from enemies far away hitting the walls, vehicles passing by as well as helicopter and airplanes. There are so many good new features on this game. The graphics are one of the best out there. There are some minor glitches here and there, especially when lying down in the floor, but many of them were fixed after a recent update. The one player campaign is amazing, but nothing new from other shooter games, but the multiplayer is simply the best. It is extremely addictive and challenging; all you want to do is unlock more and more weapons and attachments to make your soldier more powerful. It will take you months to get them all. The on line maps have something for everyone, from different vehicles in massive maps in “base” mode, to small run and shoot “death match.” The “rush” mode is one of the best, because it combine both, you get to use vehicles in a farely large area to plan your attract. One of the best features about this game is that it encourages you to play as a team and if you learn how to be a good team player…you will have tons of satisfying moments.

This game is excellent and I would recommend it over Call of Duty

Ok first of all you have to accept that battlefield is not COD and that it has a learning curve like android. You have to accept that fact that you cant just pick up the controller and be amazing at it. That aside campaign so good but a few problems including enemies will completely ignore your team and shoot at you. But it is very good its the first battlefeild campaign I actually wanted to replay. Multiplay where can I begin theres so many improvments from the beta and from bfbc2. The maps are bigger graphics are better and guns are even more realistic. The game isnt better than COD. Just stick with that unless you get this on sale.

This is the best shooter out in the market so far (in my own opinion)! I will focus on the multiplayer part of the game in this review. Also, I play this game on Ps3 so this review is not subject to the xbox 360 or the PC platform. I try to stay away from comparing any other shooters such as Call of Duty franchise or any other Battlefield games. The point of this review is to look at the game itself. Battlefield 3 multiplayer provides a lot of different experiences for different types of players. It also offers different game modes as well. You do not need to be the best player in the game in terms of aiming and killing, but you can be very good at doing other stuff. This game also offers players to drive vehicles. From ground to air there are tons of vehicles such as tanks and planes, choppers and more. Like I said earlier, the beauty of this game is not just about getting a few kills or getting a killing spree. The game itself encourages players to engage the environment and think. If your objective is to set up charges, what is the best way to reach your goal? Will you be the one fighting heavily and distract your enemy, or you are the sneaking one that go behind the lines and set up the charges. Different classes in the game attributes to your playing style. I play medic a lot in the game and I find myself constantly reviving my teammates. It actually helps when my teams are pushing forward because it saves the waiting time for them to come back. This is just one example that you can contribute into the game and help even you do not know any of your teammates or talking to them on headset (I don't have one). The map in Battlefield 3 is large enough for players to have different options. You will never find yourself limited to reach your destinations or mission objectives so camping is not that effective. The customization of weapons and gears in Battlefield 3 is very practical and effective. Your style of play should guide you when it comes to weapon customization. After all, this game is a must buy for any shooter fan out there.

I own both games COD and BF3. Granted COD has a better story line compared to BF3, however nothing has changed on COD since the last one, it's the same engine, graphics and same people...lame. BF3 on the other hand has always been more superior. Let's talk about the audio...the audio (guns, explosions etc.) are exceptional! The best ones in any game, ever. They have live recordings from the actual guns and put that in the game, it's ridicules especially if u have 5.1 dolby surround. Multiplayer is amazing, it's not just run around look for the bad guys in small alley's and shoot, it's very tacticle. You have to work with your squad, you can fly jets, helicopters, drive tanks, jeeps and so on an so forth. Yes, the maps are bigger, yes, it will take more time to find the bad guys on certain maps, but it's a total different game then COD. I loved call of duty, i bought and played everyone of the, but to be honest, i'm a big disappointed with this one because it's basically the same thing. I've only played COD on multiplayer once until i ran back to BF3. get this game, you won't be disappointed!

Battlefield 3 is twice as good as the new modern warfare and better graphics and sound. GREAT campaign. AMAZING online as in HUGE maps compared to Call of Duty. Walls actually break!!! coming out with new co-op campaign levels. Also Vehicles (Helicopters, Tanks, Hummers, Air planes, BTRs etc) in multiplayer.

Anyone who has a PS3, and likes combat based gaming, this is a must-have! I am a big fan of the Call of Duty series, and this game is similiar in some aspects, such as aiming, firing, and weapon options. This game is different with the story line which is a nice change. It is highly addictive, and sounds incredible through a headset. The graphics are as good as I have ever seen, and the gameplay is believable. I only wish the game was longer as I didn't want it to end!

Battlefield has it's flaws in the single player with the whole storyline that I find boring and the graphics do have problems with texture pop-ins but they have patched it to make it better so it's not as bad, it's not as noticeable now and that it is from trying to use the new Forstbite 2 engine. The maps for multiplayer are huge and can be trouble finding people but it actually gives you the opportunity to snipe in the game. The audio is top of the line for games and at first the multiplayer can be extremely difficult at first if you aren't used to games that are more realistic in terms of bullets to take someone down. The multiplayer can get a little repetitive with few choices for multiplayer games and completing challenges for the guns and kits will take some serious time. Despite this I still find it a fun game in moderation and I would recommend it to someone who wants a more a realistic shooter than say Modern Warfare 3.

Played them both and really wanted MW3 to outshine the BF3 game, but I found that MW3 is lacking. Good graphics, great audio, good MP gameplay. I know the singleplayer is weak, but really who buys these for the singleplayer -- Really!?! I would rate it a 3.5 to 4 and would rate the BF3 from a 4.5 to a 5. Due to the low ratings and angry FPS players I upped the score to offset some of the poor score provided by angry gamers . If you are an angry gamer you are going to find something in the game to compensate for poor gaming ability. Don't hate the game hate the player.

This is my second favorite game to date after Battlefield 2. I can't speak on the single-player because I've never played it, I bought this for the MP which is what the Battlefield series is known for and it surely does not disappoint. This is the most fun I have had on my PS3. Vehicles are tons of fun and teamwork abounds. Working together with your squad and team to win the match adds a while new level to console gaming. BC2 was fun but these bigger maps and more vehicles just heighten the fun and mayhem!

This is the second game I've purchased in the series, and the series has gotten progressively better. If you like war/online games, but Call of Duty is a little too fast paced and the maps small give the Battlefield series a try. I own a few games in both the Call of Duty and Battlefield series, and prefer Battlefield for the larger maps and option to use both ground and air vehicles. Pros: Really good graphics Large Maps, so you don't spawn on top of the enemy Multiple maps to choose from, even if you don't buy the expansion pack A lot of weapon and accessory combinations Vehicles and more vehicles Cons: For some unknown reason the connection to the server will drop

I played call of duty alot i still do and battle field is better in my opinion. larger maps and vehicles plus realism give battle field the edge. I like playing fast pace games in call of duty but eventually noobtoobers and quick scopers are annoying.
