If you looked this product up, chances are you remember watching the series on TV all those years ago (like I do). Get this collection. You won't regret the purchase. The extras aren't anything special, but the rush of nostalgia you'll get from watching all the old episodes is awesome. I was frankly surprised at how good the writing was; and even the acting wasn't so over-the-top, but relatively subdued and as true to life as one could hope for in a space adventure. The effects and miniatures shots in particular really impressed me, considering this series was made in the 1970's. The original BSG was just a lot of fun to watch, bottom line. This collection comes nicely packaged, with a cool Cylon-effect slipcase and a small booklet listing the episodes and credits. For the price, it's definitely worth it.

I loved this show as a kid. To day it reminds my of a time when life was less stressful and carefree.

Well it only has the as seen on TV begining episodes, the original movie cut had more content and isnt present, but the one movie you can buy threw best buy is not the original movie either just a splashed together of the first few episodes. And its missing the complete final season from 1980 wich was excepted by the company as the final season, all 10 episodes that aired and were re-put out in 2007 for purches just good luck finding them. Good extras would of been the shot footage of the 11th unfinished episode Cleopatera. Overal this is a good bundle for the price but its missing allot of the history and lore put out in other episode as if you couldnt tell by the jumping around and unfinished ending in the box set it is far far from the "Complete Epic Series" as advertised. But mainly put out and expect the next generation to think thats all there was.
