My kids saw this movie thousands of times, they like a lot

Movie was good I’m a fan of the rock so it was a win

I grew up with Baywatch, though it was never much of a favorite, so I missed more episodes than I saw. I rarely miss anything starring The Rock though and was eager, though not hopeful, to see this. Hardly great, but I don't subscribe to the notion that all films should be A Beautiful Mind - which, by comparison, Baywatch is a LOT more fun to watch. Like most people, subjectively, there were parts I could have done without. But who wants to focus on the negative, in a world where there's plenty of that going around? I do want to warn that, playing the extended cut, their were numerous slight audio hesitations throughout the film, likely related to disc branching. At one point the audio goes badly out of sync for about 2-5 minutes of the film. The problem won't affect everyone though. Reportedly those downconverting the audio for soundbar and TV speaker playback don't notice it - possibly because it doesn't effect lossy/stereo playback, or maybe their display sizes were much smaller or their seating distance much greater, where it was less noticeable. More likely, it's a growing pain of Dolby Atmos, where, combined with all the branching required for the extended cut, the disc authors failed to encode it correctly for those of us who don't have Atmos and are instead listening to TrueHD extracted from the Atmos track. We watched the film using a Marantz AVR and Oppo BD player. For those who value content over packaging, Best Buy's exclusive is the one you want. Gratefully, the bonus content is actually on a physical disc, not just download vaporware. And it's an actual Blu-ray no less, not an outdated DVD. If Best Buy would have also commissioned a unique lenticular slipcover, like they often do, it would have been even better.

My wife loved the film and insisted I give it an extra star as I only planned to rate the film with an average of 3 stars. She really enjoyed the shots that made me wish all things were equal! In the end I should have know better just by the title. The story wasn't all that good and as far as twists and surprises go I'd say they lacked. If you turn your brain off and grab some popcorn you could enjoy this film.

If you expect a classic, stay away. This is a fun and raunchy romp on the Beach (Emerald Bay). Paying homage to the TV show, the gang get mixed up between lifeguarding and law enforcement to figure out what illegal activity is going on at their beach. The Blu-ray A/V quality is top-notch and the colors (red, yellow and blue especially) pop. The Bonus Disc is a plus and funny.

Now let's face it if anyone watched Baywatch back in the day it wasn't because it was good show at least in this movie you get some good stupid fun as well as beautiful ladies and guys that in are in great shape. If you are someone that takes things to seriously don't waste your time or money but if you want to have some mindless fun for 2 hours then give it a go.

Enjoyed the beach bodies but little else. So farfetched. Extras only available on blue ray.

The movie was really stands out with the 4K you can actually see the difference between a DVD and a VHS I recommend anybody who would want to watch a 4K movie do it get a 4K player you'll enjoy it and you enjoy this movie UFC stuff you never seen before from the 4K version on Bay watch

LOVE the movie. Unfortunately had big issues with the copies we got from best buy playing properly on an Xbox One S. Of course Best Buy blamed the Xbox, but we have about 20-30 other movies that worked just fine. This has been the first. Not sure if Best Buy got in a bad batch, or if it really was an Xbox coding issue. Xbox had never heard of the issue and could find nothing on it within the Xbox forums.

I never really watched the original baywatch tv show. But the previews for this looked good. We love everything The Rock has done. Rented this first and was better than we thought it was going to be. It's funny. Maybe a little extra time on the script and it could have been even better. Great Black Friday buy nonetheless.

Being crass and kicking a*#. If you’re looking at this review, you know what you’re buying. A movie not for small children, but more for freshman year at a party school. The low ratings on this movie are deserved if, you expected an award winning film. It uses base humor and gets you to laugh again and again.
