Excellent Droid

He had no idea that he was getting this as a gift, but had the app already installed on his iPhone 5c. I must confess I had had the app on my Galaxy S5 and play with the droid when he is not. Very easy to use different devices to control BB-8. Definitely a great buy.

Very Cool Sphero
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have given this 5 stars if it made sounds directly from the droid itself, or if it actually had proximity sensors to really detect its surroundings while in patrol mode. The antenna is also very flimsy/fragile so be careful in driving it under furniture like couches that have a low bottom. Otherwise, this droid is very cool!

It seems to hold up well.The rollers get dirt build up from rolling around the carpet but I clean it out every now and then and it seems fine. Seems to be pretty durable, it's been banged against the wall a few times while we were learning how to move it around.

More robust and more fun than we expected

It has also held up really well in a house with dogs and kids playing with it. The roomba-like feature (explore mode) turns out to be quite a lot of fun. It's expensive, but built to last.

Pretty cool toy

Great Toy - Expensive Though

It's fun to chase my dogs around with it. It is built pretty solidly but I wouldn't recommend dropping it off a table or running it around on the pavement. Battery lasts about an hour.
